20,000 really is a fricking lot, that's almost 3 hours a day every single day for 20 years straight, the anons saying that using that time productively would have amounted to nothing are moronic.
That said spending those 3 hours doing something more productive would require a lot of discipline that the vast majority of people don't have, realistically if you didn't play videogames at all you would have wasted 20,000 hours on something equally "useless"
