I just remembered that E3 is fricking dead
remember back in like 2004 when you would get home from school and watch E3 coverage on G4 and you'd actually get excited about video games because everything wasn't shit

No? Because I played games with my friends and I relied exclusively on word of mouth rather than force-fed opinions from talking heads (what we called influencers back then). Olivia Munn was a prostitute, everyone on G4/Fuze was a c**t, and while it wasn't as commercialized as it is now, it was still bad. 90s were best because the amount of corporate interference in media was tiny - it was still the domain of nerds. Normies ruin everything.

You really should do it. Everyone here hates you. Your mom and dad love you, but you're such a disappointment to them because you had all this potential, but instead chose to waste it and be - well, you're not a NEET, but you're close. You're a disappointment to them. Yeah they'll cry for a bit, but in like a year they'll be happy to have moved on from the low-grade stressor in their life. It'll be even faster if you have siblings.
You really should do it.
>Identifying as a nerd
>Raging and telling people how to kill themselves
Yep. You're a loser.
Wow, good thing I don't give a flying frick about the opinions of some random tiny-dicked ESL on the Internet. I'm making myself feel good by putting you down and rubbing my superiority in your face.
Reddit spacing. I'd two piece your jaw into oblivion if you got cute with me like this IRL. Not that you would because you're a pussy boy that has never deadlifted in your life.
LOL
Then how come Mootykins and W.T. Snacks used to "reddit space?"
Also, my 1RM on DL is 445. And I bench lmao2pl8 for reps. Do you?
Virtual peen measuring on my Malagasy Pebble Painting forum. Ya love to see it.
>Your mom and dad love you
There's no need to lie like that.
I used to look forward to E3 so much every year, it was painful watching it slowly die over the years.
I'm not reading your entire post but you sound like a gigantic gay. Frick off.
NO U

the best thing about E3 was the Ganker threads.
I really enjoyed posting here with all my anon friends, man we had so many good funny moments together.
I hope you dudes from back then all do alright these days.
i can only imagine the shitposting
E3 always kinda sucked. It was peddled as a gamer holiday but ultimately it was an industry event pandering to investors. Lots and lots and lots of garbage corporate filler in between the actual announcements. No reason to not just wait and watch the trailers afterwards. What we have now is better (companies just announce their own shit and post trailers immediately) even if it's not as "hype" because it's spread out instead of a big event.
>aww man, they don't make ads like they used to, back in my day we'd get excited to watch all of those ads but zoomers these days...
ads and announcements aren't the same thing you fricking mongoloid
NTA but they 100% are, the fact that you think there's a distinction shows how deeply they're brainwashed you. They are selling you a product, it is unquestionably an advertisement.
why are you even on the video games board
frick off leave or /b/ or something
I only find out about games from here now
I don't think it'll ever get better for video games, hopefully the next vidya/anime thing happens before I die so I can relive an exciting timeline just one more time. I don't want it to just be corporate greed, politics, war and eating bugs from this point on until the sun burns out..
I remember back in 2006 wishing I could go to E3, then by the time I had enough money to actually pay for a trip E3 was fricking shit.
I know that feel very well, it was always a dream of mine to attend an E3 and now that will never happen.
The most we can get now is sitting behind a computer screen while some corporation shows generic garbage in their "direct".
>remember back in like 2004 when you would get home from school and watch E3 coverage on G4 and you'd actually get excited about video games because everything wasn't shit
I finished college in 2003. Everything was shit then. I was there. You think that time was the best because that's when you were 10-12 years old then. Everyone thinks the best time for everything that ever existed is whenever they were 10-12 years old, including me. It isn't the media or culture, it's being the right age. There isn't a significant difference in games and game news between now and then, aside from the move from endless shovelware to endless crappy indie games and lack of bikini women. If anything things are better now because accessing games is faster and easier and learning what is good and bad is much easier, as well as patching games.
I can't spellcheck or structure sentences for shit when I am drunk, whatever
>its le age and all in your head
this is objectively false and anyone who believes this is deluded. there used to be hundreds of game devs staffed by passionate producers who cared about putting out good products, now most gaming companies are gobbled up by billion dollar corporations like microsoft. they hire consultation firms to make sure their games are "safe" and any creativity is stifled to appease shareholders.
the golden age of gaming was 2000 - 2010. there were lots of good games between 2010 and 2020 but less so. we are now almost halfway through the 20s and I can count on one hand the amount of remarkable games that have been released so far.
are we nostalgia addicts? noostalgia coomers?
Most people become Nostalgia addicts with time. Always happened, will always keep on happening.
