I didn't see your thread, but I'm glad this game is seeing some love. I just got out of the mines. The world and music accompaniment is so good. It is rare a game captures me from the start like this one has. I need more like it.

I can't make sense of this statement. BG&E is the most "Japanese feeling" game to ever be made by westerners, there isn't anything else not made by Japanese that compares really, it's basically the only non-Zelda 'Zelda' game that actually feels like Zelda.

I used to think that gen of games would end up being overshadowed, but boy was I wrong. BG&E is still standout.

games with girls on the cover always fricked me. I got this for christmas and would not hear the end of getting a barbie photography game.
I loved this game. It's in my top 50, all time favorite videogames. It's basically flawless. I haven't played it in like 20 years though.
Fantastic game. A must play. And like you mentioned, great soundtrack too. I can't think of another game with its feeling. I haven't played it in at least a decade though, so I wonder how much it holds up vs how much is nostalgia.
