I just started using colorblind filters and they changed everything. I feel like I see more depth and it just feels easier to look at the screen. Forest areas especially fricked me up before.
deutan btw

I am not colorblind but I really struggled to see what's in the top middle one
>I am not colorblind
Yes, you are.
>but I really struggled to see what's in the top middle one
It's a 2.
Ummm dude it's a 8
Y'all are colorblind.
I said I struggled. Not that I couldn't make it out
It's an 8
Does top middle really have a pattern?
I mean with this as a guide
I can kinda see a 2-8 because of some gray spots.
I dont really see a pattern, its too irregular tbh just some gray spots in the center that are not continous
The top of the 2 is there, someone has altered the bottom part so a 2 isn't formed. It's a troll image meant to make every think they're red-green colorblind, and it worked.
Its 8
It only looks like 2 if your colorblind
>im sorry to tell you anon
I'm sorry anon, but it's a sign that you are gay
It's an old troll, it's there just to frick with you.
Is what coping colorblind people would say.
deuteranopia or deuteranomaly?
deuteranopia? im not sure what the difference is
deuteranopia is pure dichromacy, deuteranomaly means you have trichromacy but your green perception is fricked
True tetrachromacy does not exist in humans btw
It does, there are 2 women diagnosed with it. But their extra receptor type is between L and M, kinda useless.
It isn't true tetrachromacy in the sense that their color space is fourth dimensional
They just simultaneously have normal and anomalous L and M receptors like many women do, but their brain interpret the normal and anomalous signals simultaneously to perceive more contrast
I dont know how accurate this test is. In the windows color filters, it shows a color wheel and it has 2 greens that look exactly the same, putting on the filter makes one of them more blue
Online tests will never give an accurate diagnosis because displays aren't color-calibrated
I take issue with referring to the L and M cones as red and green. The cones don't work like that, and protan and deutan are very similar in effect.
It's Wikpedia, of course it's a simplification, S and M cones overlap a lot
anomaly means you can still have some green discrimination (not as good as a normal person), anopia means you cant see it at all. anomaly is more common than anopia.
Colorblindess is a made up disease
Well it's not a disease for starters
Top left - clear as day
Top middle - celar
Top right - only see the 4 clearly, but a faint outline of a 2 or a 7, can't see clearly
Bottom left - I can see it but hardly
bottom right - can't see shit when opened but either 6 or an 8 on a thumbnail.
bottom right is a 6
go see an optometrist or ophthalmologist.
Why
I'm aware I'm bartially colourblind
Sorry dude
you're red-green colour blind
Im on the same boat anon
I DO see red and green as colors and not grey, but apparently other people see those colors stronger
Id like to try out those glasses that correct your color vision but I think theyre expensive af
This pic has the solution.
Honestly the only one thats fricked me up was the middle one as it was way less obvious versus the other ones but yeah I can see it now. Thank frick I'm not colourblind.
Top middle is fricking bullshit, I can clearly see the top of the 2 but there is no horizontal part at the bottom
top middle is doctored to frick with people. someone used ms paint.
This. If you can see traffic light colors, your eyesight is fine. Most of these make use of camouflage principles to frick with you by blending colours with irregular shapes (half of eyesight is geometry identification, then color), you'll rarely see heh this shit in nature.
>newbies falling for an anicent troll image
the top middle one is fricked up intentionally
the original image would diagnose you with variouses "diseases" depending on which one you wouldn't be able to see, with the top middle saying "ur gay lmao"
>red green color blind
>can clearly see red green on the pic
and then you have mouthbreathing Black folk like
Imagine being this butthurt that you can't see colors good
That's bullshit, bottom left is clearly a 21 and not a fricking 74
🙁
Anon, I...
Bro, your 42 and 6??
The contention was about top middle and bottom left so I only bothered to paint these
Here are the rest
That's not how a 7 looks like. I will fricking kill you
I traced it exactly as it is on the image
Don't blame me
Take it to mspain and color pick at it
There's a 21 and a 74 it's just that us colourblindies see the 21.
>top middle
see warped pieces of a 2; therefore I'm red-green color blind
>bottom left
see 74; therefore I'm not red-green color blind
poor show. trolling should hold up to scrutiny
Doesn't mean you're fully red-green.
I'm not colorblind. moronic troll image.
fun fact, if you're blind, you can't see any of them
>can literally only see top left
It's so fricking over.
these 2 look the same to me, like a grayish green
they are two completely different green shades dude...
grats bro you're hiv positive
The bottom one is much higher saturation.
12
2
4????
21
Literally fricking nothing
colorblind
Is the 'eu' in deutan pronounced like the 'eu' in Euler, Freud, etc?
I can see the numbers from the first 2. The third one I can barely make a 4 but it seems it's a 2 digit number so I have no idea about the second digit.
Can't see shit in the last 2 honestly.
Can color blindness be cured?
Some forms can be cured but in involves injecting an enzyme directly to your eyeballs
YEah! Let's inject dubious science stuff into your eyes. What could possibly go wrong?
You might start seeing colors that aren't there
Then don't go to the hospital when your heart inevitably gives up on maintaining your obese frame you philistine moron
>dubious science stuff
It's an adenovirus vector
With gene therapy yes, but it's such an inconsequential disorder there is no funding, you could be researching on curing alzheimer's instead
Lenses and glasses can improve contrast between colors that colorblind people perceive as the same but it isn't a cure
thanks doc
The 2 looks more like an 8 now to me.
What if I inject into my eyeballs some Mantis Shrimp genes and I start seeing infrared and ultraviolet?
their photoreceptors wouldn't be compatible with your retina
You'll start seeing ultraviolet if you cut off your cornea
Just do it, it should work.
Says who? Scientists? lol
You don't want to see ultraviolet, you'll start picking up on people's bodily fluids and filth everywhere you go.
What would ultraviolet actually look like if you could somehow get it from an ocular receptor to a human brain? Would your brain just slot it into the visible spectrum and narrow what you already had or would it create an entirely new colour for you?
Am I just moronic?
Colour is fundamentally an experience created purely by your mind so who knows?
How would sensing electrical fields like sharks "feel" like?
Nobody can know
Ultraviolet rays are usually invisible to most humans. The lens of the human eye blocks most radiation in the wavelength range of 300–400 nm; shorter wavelengths are blocked by the cornea.[6] Humans also lack color receptor adaptations for ultraviolet rays. Nevertheless, the photoreceptors of the retina are sensitive to near-UV, and people lacking a lens (a condition known as aphakia) perceive near-UV as whitish-blue or whitish-violet.[4] Under some conditions, children and young adults can see ultraviolet down to wavelengths around 310 nm.[7][8] Near-UV radiation is visible to insects, some mammals, and some birds. Birds have a fourth color receptor for ultraviolet rays; this, coupled with eye structures that transmit more UV gives smaller birds "true" UV vision.[9][10]
Well that's the part of the UV our receptors are still sensitive to
What if you extended that range even further?
Extend too far and you go out of UV and into X-Ray territory
My best guess is it'd just extend what you see as "purple". Maybe with some difference in shade. So you could tell the difference between "common purple" and "only I see this purple" colors. But I ain't no brain engineer.
Purple and violet aren't the same thing, not that we'd know it because we see them the same way.
Imagine someone with color blindness, and trying to explain to theme exactly how you (presumably a functional trichromat) see color. They might get the general idea, but they won't be able to visualize it. But at the same time, that kind of color vision makes perfect sense to you. It would be like that, except you're the color blind person. If it were possible for some people to see other wavelengths, it would make perfect sense to them, assuming that it's an evolved process and their brains are properly adapted. If technology lets us simply perceive those wavelengths, I doubt our brains would "know" what to do with that information.
>30 years playing without asingle filter
if I'm winning without them, there's no reason to starting using them now. Yes, I can only see the 12 on the first circle. It also was always a kind of a trigger to me since the girl I liked when I was a kid always laughed at me for picking the wrong colors.
I am colourblind. This is what I see, sort of?
>24 instead of 74 on the bottom-left
You almost had it. Your vision is at least better than most of the coping anons in this thread.
the "2" in 42 is also incorrectly traced
I was kicked out of electrical engineering due to them saying I was colourblind. Now I have better colour vision than people without.
the cia trained people in the 60s to be able to see the entire electromagnetic spectrum, they can see through entire buildings, they can see your organs, they can tell when you're using technology and can see concealed firearms
The CIA trained people in the 1950s to breed with morons. I see you're a descendant.
What you're forgetting is that they still need the "light" to come from somewhere. Seeing x-rays doesn't help if there's no x-rays to see. That's where the radioactive flashlights come in. Ever met an agent who claimed his flashlight is broken, yet still insisted on pointing it at you and refused to toss it? Yeah that flashlight was working fine, just in x-ray spectrum. That's why you should always carry a geiger counter, to tell when the CIA is perving on you.
the top middle one isn't anything if you have normal vision
How does that make sense?
It's intentionally designed to frick with people. See plate 19 in https://web.archive.org/web/20201208160704/http://www.dfisica.ubi.pt/~hgil/p.v.2/Ishihara/Ishihara.24.Plate.TEST.Book.pdf
if you're red-green colorblind there's probably dots that have the same color to you, so they from a line
if you're not colorblind then it's just mixed colored dots so they don't form a line
So what you're saying is that the anons claiming everyone else is colorblind because they cen't see anything in there are actually colorblind themselves?
Fricking lmao
I can very vaguely see a 2? But it's not like the other ones where it is obvious
You can reason there's a 2 but you should be able to see that it's broken up in places that it's not really there. That's more just pattern recognition in humans than actual vision.
same
>7th reference link shows a completely different plate from the one in the article
What?
There is a problem with these plates that even if you are supposed to NOT see something, your brain will still recognize shapes and patterns and filter out "noise". So I still see lines on first two despite them being hidden behind "visual noise" and very clear line on third one.
You're supposed to be asked to trace a single unbroken line or two. Not a chaotic one with branches.
There's also inconclusive arguing about what to do with it on the file upload history and the talk page. I think the Wikipedia dorks have got their sources mixed up. I don't see the supposed Plate 29 that's on the article anywhere on the internet, let alone the credited sources, but the image caption is definitely from the source saying that a *line* will be traced by color-blind people since that's what that group of plates is testing for, yet people are seeing a "2" and not a line. The guy who reverted it back to the current one only reverted it because it was low resolution and doesn't have anything in it (which is true, but besides the point).
Can anyone who's medically diagnosed with red-green deficiency try to trace a single unbroken line in the image?
12 2(sort of, this image is meant to troll) 42
74 6
I have been tested for all forms of colorblindness and have none.
imagine being blind
imagine being deaf
imagine being colourblind
imagine having allergies
imagine having skin conditions
imagine being diabetic
imagine being short
imagine all the people
It's over for me bros...
Honestly the last one should also be the same.
But it is?
the top 4 basically look the same to me
are you sure?
look closer
Isn't it fricked up that there is support for clinically blind people of this level but if you are a mute, can't speak up well or have a voice disorder you're basically outcasted from most online communities. Where is the support for verbally impaired?
>basically outcasted from most online communities
What fricking communities are you participating in that need a voice? Certainly not this one.
12 8 42 74 6. Am I blind? Admittedly the 8 was pretty hard to make out compared to the rest.
does it make nu-graphics (low contrast, pastel colors) less obnoxious?
12, 2, 42, 74, 6
