I just upgraded my ancient gpu to a 1050 ti. What can I run with it? My standards are pretty low due to being used to play games on a potato. So 360p and 20 fps is acceptable to me.

if 360p20fps is actually fine then you can play anything on it. still, at least 720p30fps should be doable on almost any game ever released.
How the frick do I determine when and which parts I should buy.
It can probably run any game at 1080p on low settings.
google
just ask for spoonfeeding on Ganker
have a nice day. Ganker doesn't know anything except animu shit.
Ganker doesnt like giving info. unironically ask reddit. or go to pcpartpicker. or learn how to fricking google.
im doing a study on zoomer internet illiteracy (they grew up with apps and algorithm suggestions, they cant actually do things).
are you a zoomer?
do you know how to pirate?
do you know how to use google?
do you only use 3 websites?
You should do a study on autism, it would would serve you better.
>inb4 zoomer
there's already a gorillion studies on autism you fricking moron
Buy on a process shrink. That is when transistors are made smaller. GPUs should have 4nm transistors now, but they don't.
Smaller transistors means less power costs, less heat or more transistors they can pack into a chip.
Get an nvidia card with 8 as the second last number. The best of a generation that isn't stuttering dual gpu shit. Get a gtx 4080.
>which
pcpartpicker
>when
just wait
does that site actually check full compatibility for the max performance ie not just (it fits lel) ?
you're going to have to do a lot of extra research for that, you can use the site to look up pictures of builds using parts you've chosen to see if everything fits and use youtube to see performance comparisons of parts you have your eye on
Look up how well what you want to play runs on X hardware.
worse than a Series X for $300 more
worse than a Series S for $300 more
I get it if you only use gamepass, however, Pc gaming to me is about getting free games, buy 5 games and you'll end up spending more than what you would with the 300$ more Pc
>xbox library
Why would you do that to yourself? Do you only play modern AAA games?
but you can play any video game ever made vs just xbox games. Plus you could create your own games on it
>Verification not required.
>worse than a Series X for $300
>Zen 3 CPU instead of cpu with zen 2 that has the consoles of that generation
>Rx 6600 which is practically the same as the xbox only that it is a custom chip
Kek
the consoles use zen 3.
NO

Interesting, shame my shitass country will be more expensive than that
Watch benchmarks. Watch GamersNexus. Watch Bitwit for build tutorial. Do some research and use pcpartpicker.
just bee yourself
Do the games you play run smoothly?
If yes, don't upgrade anything.
If no, use MSI afterburner to determine whether it's an issue with GPU, CPU or RAM requirements.
After finding out what the issue is, use reputable reviewers like GN, Hardware Unboxed etc. to find a part that's good price/perf. Always make sure you check your local prices instead of just listening to youtubers though.
1.Whats your budget? How much can you REALISTICALLY afford to spend.
2.What do you want? What honestly do you want? Do you just want the absolute budget stuff? Or do you actually want the high end stuff?
3.What do you do with your PC?
Gaming only? or do you work on it only or both?
After that, go to something like PCpartpicker and assemble 2 different rigs. 1. stick hard to your budget see if you can come in under because Taxes are a thing. 2. Build what you WANT in a PC.
3. Meet somewhere in the middle while sticking as close to your budget as you can.
i have one on my emulator/sketchy shit pc
never had issues
the last game i played, nfs heat, ran fine at max settings at 1080p
You can just about run anything, more demanding games will might have to be set to the lowest settings and 1080p (native) might not be possible, but they will run.
>I just upgraded my ancient gpu to a 1050 ti.
>Still rocking a GTX 750 TI
I don't even see a reason to upgrade yet. I can still play all my games at 1080p low settings. Most games I can run at 60fps.
theres plenty games that require a dx12 compatible card to even run these days. like elden ring for example.
my 650 ti has ended that about 2-3 years ago
you have a year tops left, if you play new AAA games that is
3070 chad reporting in. Can run every modern game but frick AAA goyslop this shit is for skyrim modded and stable diffusion troony gems.
if only it came with a bit more vram. even 10gb would be acceptable but 8gb is pure judaism.
vram only matters if you want to use UHD textures, but thats pointless because you wont get 60fps 4k on that card (or any card besides the 4090) without DLSS
Deathloop uses 5GB Vram at 1080p. It's just going to get worse.
>skyrim
>not AAA goyslop
What a fricking moronic post.
Modded Skyrim? If I'm mentally moronic you're clinically braindead.
skyrim is rpg goyslop
I have the 1060ti and it runs everything from mid to high settings so I guess you'll be fine.
The 1050ti is ancient anon, what the hell were you running before?
I just got a ryzen 9 and a 3080, what will i be able to run?
unteralterbach
Loop Hero, probably
You may be able to run league of legends
You might be able to run Dwarf Fortress.
I have that same build more or less and the only thing I’ve tried to play that really gave me a challenge was Cyberpunk. Was still able to make it run over 80ish fps at 1440p if I turned RTX off though. Pretty much every other game I play I can run at my display’s refresh rate of 144.
flappy bird should be ok with that
> So 360p and 20 fps is acceptable to me
Based frugal anon
Welcome to the 1050ti club bro.
>it's consoles that are holding PC gaming back!
You'd be surprised at how well 1050ti's can run stuff. If you fart around with settings and turn down the stuff that's really intensive but you never notice like shadows you can run most games at close to max settings in 1080.
Switch emulation to begin with
>Switch emulation
>GPU
It is possible to have a GPU so shit you can't do it, despite personally never seem it
Still is almost 90% CPU dependent, you could have a 3XXX and a i5 4XXX and would not run.
I have an i5 4440 and it barely runs. Not that well, but good enough to play the Tsukihime remake.
I emulated with an i5 4690 and the 1050ti, it was not bad although for smt v it lacked the extra threads that an i7 4770 could have for example.
What's your CPU?
PS4 multiplat games and ports will generally run acceptably at lowered settings and expectations
PS3 multiplat/ports all run very well
"esports" games like Overwatch, Fortnite, CS will run great
fx 6350
damn anon, 10 year anniversary coming up soon. Glad it's still running for you. Saw a video the other day where somebody using one ran Cyberpunk at like 30-40fps so you're fine
I don't yikes at 1050ti in 2022 but I do yikes an fx 6350
Get some 2015 era Intel 4 core and motherboard for $50
That's really bad.
I'm playing RD2 at 1024×768 on a laptop with a 950m with high textures and this thing has 2gb VRAM.
You'll be fine
3070 owner, feeling like dipping to 58 fps in wh3 on near ultra settings is enough to warrant a gpu/system upgrade in general. tell me i'm moronic
not moronic. get a 4090.
You're moronic.
I doubt you can distinguish between ultra and high for example
Overclock it if you're not a brainlet.
wait for a 5070 it'll run like a 4090 but it'll be $1000 instead of $2000
>What can I run with it?
anything, depends on what minimal performance is acceptable to you (less than30, 30, 60fps) and how low resolution you're willing to go (720p or less). But you can run anything anyway because you can use nvidia control panel to make games look like
KEK
I beat Elden Ring on it at 1080p and 58.9 FPS on medium. You'll be fine for a while, but keep shit at 1080p or 720p if you're worried.
there are no games you can't run on a 1050ti
Anything up to ~2018 with zero effort, a bit less janky for big games above that. Vidya didn't really move on all that much, aside of VR there is next to nothing that would *require* more than 1050ti.
>What can I run with it?
A ton of games actually.
You upgraded TO a 1050ti?
these days its either that or spend $1000 for a """"""""4080"""""""
there are zero cards between a 1050 and a 4080?
Correct, I've got a 1050 and was thinking about upgrading but it's either take out a loan to get a card or get one that's been raped for 5 years straight by crypto tards. I'll just wait for the 50XX series.
I've seen people picking up used 1080s for less than $200. Probably could find a 1080 Ti, or RTX 2060 or something for not much more
>take out a loan to get a card
you can finance them. find one with 0% interest. if you want a $600 card, you can pay whoever financed it $50/mo for 12 months
I was being sarcastic, no way in hell am I doing that.
I have a GTX 1650 Super 4GB. What can I play?
it's basically equivalent to a 1060 or 580, so anything from before this year
witcher 3
gta 5
i dunno
left 4 dead 2 or something?
Test
F-
I've been running a 1050ti for about 4 years now. It's fine, nothing spectacular, but it'll serve just fine.
Upgrade eventually.
I upgraded from a 1050ti that I bought in the hard years of mining to an rtx 2060, it was a low profile that suited me for one of those office oem pc that I had at that time (which had a gt 1030), it cost me 150 $ at that time, it served me well and more than the gt 1030, I still kept it and it is retired in an old pc with a phenom x4 for old vidyas with Windows 8.1.
I have rx570, it can still run many new games at 30fps
probably nearly anything as long as you're ok with 720p low for the newest games
