Since you guys all love Pokemon so much, I was desperately curious, do you guys actually Own Pets? Like did you "catch em all" irl?

No, owning pets is unethical. I do have a friend who literally traps cats and neuters them.
i have a dog because owning a dog is the human experience
co-evolution, baby
cats are an invasive species that are endangering local ecosystems all around the world at an alarming rate. i am really shocked at how little people talk about this, it is a MASSIVE problem. if you see a cat out and about, it's literally either breeding or killing.
Are you really trying to act like you're the only person that knows cats kill things? You didn't even come to this on your own. Someone said it and you ran with it.
are you really implying that the roaming gangs of cats in my fricking neighborhood aren't a problem?
moron, we should cut your balls off too so we deal with another problem.
>cats are an invasive species that are endangering local ecosystems all around the world at an alarming rate.
so are humans but I don't see anyone b***hing about that. shut up moron.
I've grown up with pets (usually dogs) and now my spouse and I have a cat and a reptile. Neither were my idea, but the two of them are alright. Really hate how messy pets are, though, but thankfully I only worry about having to clean up after the cat since the reptile was agreed to not be my problem for the most part. If I got another animal after the cat is gone, I think I'd like to look at getting a small dog.
>owning pets is unethical
Always wondered why people thought this when pets are given what's essentially a life of luxury (if the owner isn't a shithead anyways). A pet doesn't have to hunt and kill for food lest it starve, it doesn't have to worry about being killed itself, it gets lots of love and attention, and if it gets sick it gets taken care of to get better. People underestimate how hard it is to be a wild animal, even if its "the way dogs and cats are meant to be". Maybe for a cat or exotic pet, but for something as domesticated as certain breeds of dogs? Not a chance. We domesticated them and now it's our responsibility to take care of them, like how domestic sheep need to be sheared often of they'll suffer, just because they were bred that way by us. The real problem is, again, shithead owners and people who don't do their research, not people who responsibly care for their animals.
>cats are an invasive species
This. Always fix your cats, I'd even discourage letting your cats outside to begin with since they'll probably get into a fight with an animal or hit by a car and killed. Only reason to have an outdoor cat is if you live on a farm and need to control mice and rats, not if you're living in a cozy little suburb.
Wouldn't you like it if I cut your balls and I called it fixing you
Trannies do
>can't get testicle cancer
>no sex drive
>no longer need to care about women
You're onto something here and you don't even know it
>he's projecting human values onto beings that aren't human
Humans care about their genitalia so much, no wonder you guys have a no contact order.
Why did you capitalize Own Pets
I have a dog and had another dog and cats when I was younger but that's it.
I own a betta fish, an aussie, and I'm thinking about getting some chickens. Rats are disgusting, and cats are cute but the litter box is a deal breaker.
My cat passed away last year. I had him for twenty years, more than half my life and all of his. It was pretty rough losing him, but I'm glad I had him for the time I did.
I ended up looking at memorials and stuff online. Just modest little statues and picture frames, things like that. Thought it might be a nice keepsake. Had to stop because I was getting choked up. It took me off guard how hard it was to not have him around all of a sudden. Just a cat, I know, but it was my cat.
Take care of your pets, guys. They're important.
;-;
Slightly related but I've always wondered if Pokemon got anyone into biology or related stuff, or if they got into pokemon because of already being into that stuff.
It's a big inspiration and part of the series but also pretty fricking niche interests too
Not currently but yes, I have.
All of them died.
>All of them died.
Breaking news homosexual, everything dies, even this post
Thank you for the nihilism lesson, anon. My sheltered life has been challenged for the first time.
Not right now. I pet stray cats though
dont they have fleas and shit? I mean I do it too but only if they come up to me.
I've caught lizards and frogs since I was very little. I used to catch dragonflies and raise butterflies. I used to fish, haven't done it in years. Last year I fished an iguana out of my pool. I've raised a bunch of dogs. So I've "caught" a decent amount of creatures. Nothing too dangerous though.
I rescued a wieneratiel a few years ago. Don't know how old he is, but my family had a wieneratiel when I was growing up so I know long he should live, so I'm trying to give him a fulfilling life. his previous owners abused him.
I don't trust most of Ganker to own a pet, much less /vp/.
