I know I've posted these plenty of times this year, but tell me, what are your honest thoughts on this starter Fakemon trio?
Grass starter looks nice, but it screams "Bug" more than "Grass".
I like the hero motif of the Fire starter, though the middle evo really doesn't look like it fits with the other 2.
Can't really tell exactly what the Water starter is supposed to be besides reptiles with a kaiju-like theme, but sometimes that's okay. And I think this is one of those times.

They're based off of marine iguanas with a kaiju theme.

The starter trio are themed after the Tokusatsu genre.
Grass starter represents Mecha
Fire starter represents Superheroes (Power Rangers as an example)
Water starter represents Kaiju

It seems you misunderstood me. I'm complaining about forcing a theme on a trio, designing individual starters based on a theme is okay. Making a starter trio follow a general theme and forcing their designs to be related to each other is gimping creativity

Grass starter looks cool.
Fire starter is just Lycanroc with a "job", not a fan.
Water starter is fine, but kinda bland as an evo line.
Redid the fur on Wulverizer's head to make look less like Lycanroc's.

First off, I would like if it kept the eyes somewhat visible, even if it's supposed to be like a helmet.
The second stage fire tail is neat, but I also like your fire cape idea for the third stage. Not sure if it's possible to combine the two in some way.
Lastly, the white-red transition bothers me. I think it reminds me too much of the "furpants" designs in the franchise, notably Zeraora's legs. Not sure what's best here, removing the yellow markings would be easy but might look too simple. The second evo looks smoother in that sense.
The amount you post these I'm not sure you have any self confidence
It varies. I'm the most confident with the Grass starter line. Water starter I'm fine with (one idea I have is a sea turtle that turns into Gamera). The Fire starter line is what I'm the least confident with. I would've gone with something non-furry like a frog while keeping the superhero theme.
Keep making the game. Just use these as placeholders. Because if you're gonna ask for feedback on your starters for the 105th time then it's best to check if you'll act the same with the rest of the game and be stuck in developer hell. I rarely tell anyone to give up but if you care too much about other's opinions then you won't get this project off the ground regardless. Reflect about what your vision is. If you don't have one, then why are you in the driver's seat?
I’m still working on the demo. I hope I can release it by the end of this year.

the grass line is interesting, but i feel like the silhouette and color scheme of the 2nd evo is a little too similar to quilladin. maybe play around with using a different body type/moving the bulk from his helmet somewhere else in his body (maybe his legs?)
water line is just ok - it gets the point across but i think the fact that we already have a couple mons based on gojira in particular (tyranitar and baxcalibur) makes this design feel less iconic. maybe try basing it on a different kaiju?
One idea I have is a sea turtle that evolves into a Water/Flying expy of Gamera. Fits a starter mon nicely considering the kaiju himself. I know Squirtle took the spot for turtle, but I wouldn’t be as much of a big deal if the designs are distinct enough.

that sounds charming, i think it could work. gamera's probably your best bet in terms of being an identifiable kaiju that doesn't already have a mon based on him. i suppose you could alternatively try to base him on ghidorah but i feel like people will be more prone to compare it to hydreigon no matter how different you try to make the designs, so gamera's probably the smarter bet here
If the final stage of the grass starter isn't extremely big (say 20 meters) then what's the point?
i dont really get why you keep asking and every time i see em i dont "see" anything different. i will say i liked the water on all fours more that i saw in the romhack thread. made more sense as well because now all 3 are bipeds. looked more visually interesting too. in the end just do what y o u personally like. youre the creator. once i make all my designs i might ask for some opinions but i wouldnt bend it to everyones tastes.
Maybe make the wolf quadrupeda most of the time, only standing up when fighting?
Or I could make the Fire starter a kaiju while making the Water starter a Sentai hero.
they were way better before the shit redesigns, and i prefered the magical girl sheep over this ugly boring lizard.
I don't know why you make it cuter and cuter after each redesign, it's a fricking kaiju, it should look intimidating.
How about this? Replace the Fire and Water starters with a frog and sea turtle respectively. The themes can stay though.

Fire Wolf is furbait and too similar to existing Pokemon, particularly Lycaroc and Lucario
Water Dino is bland and needs another design element to make it stand out and be starter worthy

Fire is cool, but I'd change the final stage's eyes to be like the previous stages. No need to make it nondescript white.
Water is nice thematically (keep the seam in front!), but it's a tad generic big lizard. Understandable considering it's based on THE big lizard, but still. I liked it when the spikes were a bit more jagged looking rather than being perfect triangles.
Overall a decent set. I didn't bother going with a theme for mine, but it does make them fit together nicely.

Fire dog just looks like a weird dog themed super-hero a child might draw, or just furbait which I dislike, also it looks like another fire/fighting starter thing which i'm sure we're all tired of seeing
Water reptile is cool but I do agree with the other anon dont be afraid to have it on four legs we have too many bipedal starters. I also can't guess if it has a 2nd typing or not
Fair enough. Maybe I could turn the Fire starter into a toad. As for the Water starter, maybe I could theme the final form off of Anguirus.

I have to keep the the Water starter’s final form bipedal because when on all fours, it looks too much like a regular iguana instead of a kaiju.
