This is what I meant, Palworld is a fundamentally different game from Pokemon.
What I want out of an ideal Pokemon game is a focus on online battles, to have more information regarding turns, effects, hazards etc, and for the singleplayer I want it to have npcs with actual, well designed competitive teams, and throw in a meme team every now and then, like teams completely focused on hazards, or a meme team with a level 1 Pokemon with endeavor, or stall teams.

There's none of that there, none of the flaws of Pokemon are fixed in Palworld, it just replaces the entire game with busywork.

This kind of shit is exactly why I'm not going to touch this game, what Pokemon needs is to remove bloat, not add all that shit. I don't want to take care of my playable character's health, or having to eat, or managing stamina or building bases, I want to battle Pokemons.
Is it that fricking hard to focus again on the combat instead of trying to distract me from the fact that I'm supposed to be playing a Pokemon game?
I swear, Palworld is basically the ultimate form of what Game Freak is doing to Pokemon, which has already had unironic farming and crafting added with that stupid shit of having to craft TMs when just letting you use them as much as you want was the ideal solution.
Seriously, the idea of blocking team building freedom with a crafting mechanic is just an insult.

The mechanics that Palworld have were in Kenshi 10 years ago.

And the thing is that Pokemon doesn't need new features, in fact, it needs to trim out all the cancer added over the past 10 years like the character customization, or the picnics, or having your Pokemon walking around you for no reason, that's the kind of pointless distraction you put when your game is finished under budget and ahead of schedule.

The combat system could use refinement and the online infrastructure needs an entire rework, or in the case of SV, it needs to be added to begin with.
Until that happens all other features should be ignored.
