I like BotW a lot, but AoC is the better game. I ignored it all these years because it's a Musou vs the original being open world. But the way the characters are handled is 100x times better in this than BotW. All the interactions and playable characters makes you feel much more involved in what is going on. Very surprised how it's writing is a lot better and it doesnt feel like some spinoff (even though it is). Even the gameplay feels better even though the maps arent even that big.
The difference between living the story and watching it through disconnected cutscene collectables.
I wish they'd go back to a somewhat linear storytelling formula and dump the BotW/Tiktok open meme, but they sold too well so we'll be getting a third "of the" game in the same map.
literally all they needed to do was make the Dragon Tear scenes play in a fixed order no matter which order you find them in
What if BotW but combat isn't shit
Botw is for gays.

Is Age of Calamity better than Hyrule Warriors 1 definitive edition OP?
>but AoC is the better game
The HW games are barely games to begin with.
What the actual frick.
>The HW games are barely games to begin with.
Musou are pure games as possible, almost like Souls.
It's a shit musou. Play HWDE instead.
no offense but it looks bad
HWDE's the better musou but AoC's combat is so much more fun I don't think I can ever go back to it to finish 100%
I also love AoC
very neat game play, with characters being very different in their fighting style.
very neat story.
looks nice.
I don't really like the newer musou games very much. Seems less like a large scale battle with multiple fronts and more like a race where you sprint from point a to point b to complete objectives. This game is especially bad with the character switching and boss fights
Musou has always been a god tier genre tbh.
If only it's given a proper budget.
Budget and somebody to wrangle their moronicness in when they want to do something 'new' that ends up worse than what they did previous (DW6, DW9, SW5, FotNS2, PW4, 3Hopes)
For me it's the blue hylian hood, white soldier armor and blue soldier greaves.
>post game quest
>Mission objectives are survive for 10 minutes
>Just rape the shit out of every enemy via beam and ball spam
>Sometimes even have to wait for the next wave to spawn
>About to kill the last enemy when time runs out
>All of this in the hardest difficulty
Sort of disappointing how the only acceptable difficulty setting came in a dlc.
Is there a better Musou game than this? I thought PW4 was great, but this mogs that hard.
Yeah, Pirate Warriors 3 and Hyrule Warriors 1 are better than PW4 and AoC respectively. AoC gets rid of the strategy/command aspect of battles almost entirely and PW4 has a lot of cool additions, but overall was less interesting that 3 I think because it skips so much content.
AoC's story felt like capeshit slop.
BotW/AoC does not have an interesting story.
AoC is bad because people actually talk to each other and have personalities.
What the frick was Sooga's problem?
He should have been in Botw.
Probably couldnt live for 100 years, but why can the leader again?
Isn't the Yiga ninja magic just a specific derived form of old Sheikah Tech since they were descended from those that were bitter about the old king's tech ban? Koga probably had an anti-aging rune well before Purah developed her own.
They hurt Kohga
>Shittiest character
>Breaks any boss in half by only needing 1 attack to make their weakpoint appear
You didn't exclusively use Stasis for everything, right anon?
If there was a small pond I'd usually just spam cryonis on any large enemy that followed me into it regardless of character.
Cryonis being a free ice rod in water was handy. Shame Mipha's various water formations didn't count toward that, but I guess that might've been too good.
The generic magnesis can be cool on the characters that have it as well, since it lets you interrupt animations you otherwise couldn't and doesn't go on cooldown if it doesn't grab anything
Magnesis was probably my least used rune.
I'd imagine that's probably the case for anyone who isn't maining slate Zelda or Ganon. Mostly just exists for rune counters or silly whiff cancels/invuln, but you might accidentally steal a weapon from a bokoblin and put your runes on cooldown so I almost never used it like that either.
I might've used it more than cryonis though, I played Zelda a lot but rarely ever Link or Ganon.
