I really love them too! I've played some recently by SIMS, one of SEGA's 1st party developers for the 90's, called Kick 'n Rush, on Game Gear, and its Master System version... that was licensed by TECMO, for whatever reason, so this was called TECMO World Cup '93, despite there not being any World Cup in 1993, only in 1994... these are excellent football/soccer video games though...

Sell me on why NFL 2K5 is better than Madden 06 and NCAA 06 combined as one gaming experience?

Regarded as having superior gameplay mechanics on the field, but 2K5 is also known for its busted franchise mode. Apparently the draft is bugged, and so because of that, some ppl prefer 2K4 instead.

Are those really the best ever or are you just nostalgic about them? If I play BASEBALL on NES am I really getting the best baseball game in the world? Has it all been downhill for baseball since

Playing Hot Shots Tennis recently. Takes a a while for it to get challenging in 1p but it's addictive. Played for like 3 hours straight without realizing.

If you like the hot shots golf, try Swing Away Golf. It has a random course feature that is fricking wild

I called it a random course feature friend, but what it really is like is you put parameters into it and it generates these fricking insane golf courses some times.

I recall it taking me WEEKS to finally finish this one, because of the Semi-Final match, against Italy in my campaign, jeez... the things that can make this so hard at the end, besides all of the opponents being faster and better than you... was the fact that you can't change your player when defending, and if the GK gives a rebound, they'll score 100% of the time... this was tough.

To this day I still haven't been able to find a more fun to play sports game than PES 6 and its siblings. The gameplay is unreal.

I adore World Cup Italia '90 on Master System, I know it's only got 8 players on each side and its only got a single way to score reliably, when you pass to the side when the GK comes out to shoot into an open goal... but actually playing it is fun! It's great how you can play both possession and counter attacking, though I find the latter to be more effective overall, build up is still superb.

    6th gen FIFA is underrated

The games had phenomenal presentation. The atmosphere from the menus to the matches transitioned very well and had a warm yet realistic feeling. The music selection was tremendously smartened up. The gameplay was just too stiff, especially if you had prior experience with PES.
7th gen FIFA up until 13 was brilliant, however.
