I like to play fighting games sometimes, but the way women are portrayed is disgusting. Weird, unnecessary and degrading objectification. Street Fighter, Soulcalibur, Dead or Alive, King of Fighters, and older parts of Mortal Kombat. These franchises as well as many others treat women as eye candy for men. I would like to see the game creators make updates to improve their appearance. MK 11 has done this right. Nether Realm has finally created serious fighting women, not sex workers.

Some of that rings true but MK took it to the extreme moronic opposite. Namco does seem to have found the key to prevent the wall, seeing as Ivy is 49yo and, say, Nina Williams is in her mid50s. It's even more jarring when they're side-by-side with the noticeable aging men like Mitsurugi.
VF's Lao Chan is looking old af (also due to the accelerated aging bc of his disease) but his daughter looks as fresh as ever. It's ridiculous, either age them or retire the goddamned characters.
