Several modders in Citadel-friendly spaces are wasting their time doing this by adding "diversity" and creating brand new cutscenes just to promote LGBT bullshit.
Starfield and Fallout 4 made me realize that these games really should allow you to figure out a way to be polygamous without it fricking you over later.

The whole subplot in MEA about "Spender" seems to be the Andromeda team's writers slipping in an anecdote about his shitty ethics, where he's just dead weight and yet he's one of the leaders, protected by Addisson who seemed to be their caricature of Aaryn Flynn, who defends him on the basis that "he helps!", the GM at the time. And you can tell how little BioWare devs go outside, because Anthem was also full of writing that seemed to be direct in-jokes to stuff they joked about at conventions. BioWare has the most dried up, incestuous creativity I've ever seen.
The question then becomes why would you think it would be different for the rest of the game? Pick one quest in Andromeda where the quips weren't exactly like that for the rest of the game?

andromeda is not bioware edmonton. I think it's reasonable to expect the tone to be similar to inquisition at least. bioware games have always had tons of humor but also knew when to get serious and not undermine those serious moments with quips.

You see this in ME3's narrative direction, as they literally started writing it worse but implemented superficial garbage the imply "artistry", including their original defense of the endings claiming they had the "artistic integrity" to not justify anything on the merit that it was "art". In every interview with Hack Walters at the time he keeps saying "As an artist..." they were so wrapped up in their own bubble that they started codenaming all further projects with influential big name figures like Joplin or Bob Dylan. The pretention was unreal, and it kept BioWare from staying honest. That's why they saw themselves fail.
