We're currently trying to cure the Melancholy of an ancient Faerie Queen, solve the succession crisis of the human kingdom overlapping her lands, and try to save the world from a demonic invasion. It's a real fun time, trying to get all the old enemies come to the same table and put aside their differences.
I actually know of a Grandma that plays DnD. She played as far back as Chainmail. Her favorite system is Pathfinder now, and her favorite class is Bard.
I've never talked about rpgs withh my grandmother, she's much more into card games and board games. Mostly the old school stuff you'd expect like bridge or scrabble but I'll occasionally bring along something newer. She loved Seven Wonders.

Having never heard of this before, a quick run through the Wikipedia synopsis tells me that it isn't really remotely similar.
My grandma and I used to play Zelda games, she'd explore the dungeon while I was at school and then I'd come home and fight the monster that she was stuck on, we had a lot of fun.
