Why would you ever get a cloth mousepad? Isn't that just going to get sweaty and dirty real quick?

Don't use cloth mousepads. Get the plastic/hard mousepads. I have a Corsair one I got at Fry's. I also use a self healing cutting mat on my desk. They are very similar material, but the mousepad is a harder, but still flexible plastic with a smoother surface. I couldn't find my mousepad online, so I suggest going in to your local store so you know exactly what material you are getting.

The "gaming" mousepads that are hard plastic are the best.

can't recommend picrel enough, good texture, easy to clean, muffles sound well enough
if you don't want to spend the money, the best mousepads are the chink factory ones you find in aliexpress (just wash them before using), gamer brand pads are a big expensive memes and don't even have sewed seams
don't get shit overpriced plastic gamer pads like other anons are saying, you're paying a bunch of money for a sheet of shit plastic that costs 20 cents to make
as long as your mouse has good pads anything works
use the money in a nice wrist pad instead
