This. What a godawful sequel. It's deservedly remembered for adding a bunch of chinks and Black folk, recycling a villain, giving the protagonists voices without actually making them interesting characters, having awful voice acting. running like absolute garbage, having inferior, worse art direction, and an even shittier story.
Being a middling improvement over it's predecessor in regards to gameplay and having a few good levels doesn't even come close to saving it.
There's nothing funny about how shit your taste is. Not even the first Dishonored was a good game and the sequel is even worse.
Have fun save scumming though, homosexual.
Because I used to like Dishonored. They (esp. 2) just haven't aged well.
>save scumming >abandoning sneaking if you are discovered and fight until the end
lmao
>abandoning sneaking if you are discovered and fight until the end
Dishonored is pretty good at making this an option compared to other stealth games, but it still has dogshit checkpoint placement and necessitates the player cheating with quicksaves to beat the level unless they play perfectly.
I bet norther Tyvia or anything more north would be great, somewhere but Dunwall and the one city in Serkonos. Maybe a region in pandyssia would be great given how much cool stuff is there. speaking of that stuff, where does deathloop take place? It's the same world but seemingly a totally different place
Before Death of the Outsider – A small Tyvian fishing village is established on the remote northern island of Blackreef.
Following Death of the Outsider – The decline of the Empire of the Isles. Tyvia becomes a sovereign state and engages in wars with other states. Meanwhile, Blackreef becomes the subject of folklore legends, as strange happenings multiply on the island – persons lost in time, ghostly voices from the past, magical anomalies, etc.
1930s – The Army of the Motherland (Tyvian army) conducts experimentation on Blackreef under the codename Operation Horizon to study the source of the strange occurrences on the island – the so-called “anomaly.”
Bonus Clue: When talking about the Anomaly in DEATHLOOP, Egor Serling says, “Long ago, the Isle of Blackreef experienced a cataclysmic event which tore the fabric of space and time.” The cataclysmic event he’s referring to is the death of the Outsider.
>no Colantonio >another game with Harvey Smith in charge feat. Anita Sarkeesian
I don't need a D3, they ruined the universe enough with D2 and DOTO. The story of the Empire was done, there was no need to bring Corvo, Emily, Delilah, Daud etc. back except for the obvious reason that they had no confidence in a new cast of characters so they reused the old ones. It made the world feel too small, the people living in it too moronic for allowing the same thing to happen in less than 15 years and it killed the Outsider and with it, the main MacGuffin for future MCs to get their powers from.
We could've had a game set in Tyvia, we could've had a game set in Pandyssia, we could've had a game with an Overseer MC, we could've explored life as someone not born/ingrained in the nobility, there was so much and it was sacrificed for pic related in two games with worse feeling movement, bloated powers, a less optimized engine, worse characters and writing, bigger levels at the expense of how the player actually interacts and moves through them, etc.
I'm 200% sure Colantonio was the only thing stopping Smith from putting Diablo loot in Prey
Look what they did with Redfall/Deathloop
We Borderlands now
>Implying it would be good
They raped the franchise enough, destroyed Corvo, made all his efforts and journey pointless, canonized Emily as a crazy b***h, retconned the story over and over and killed the Outsider
Let if go
Dishonored is overrated and thats why D2 flopped. The stealth isn't that good. Hell any stealth game where you can savescum is questionable in and of itself. Payday 2 stealth is bugged and limited and can be pretty shit at times, and its 10 times more of a stealth game dishonored can ever be. And dont ever talk about the m1 combat. When D1 released I thought oh shit, its gonna be like Dark messiah except stealth n shit. And then the game released...heh. Arkane really need to work more on their gameplay imo
So is stealth too difficult or too easy? Max difficulty makes enemies spot you pretty well, in both 1 and 2. DotO basically ditches stealth altogether.
>design the game yourself
You 're right but you re also wrong. Consumers should not have to think about the design of the game and design their own experience. I tweaked the cfg file of Half-Life 2 to increase the difficult as well as weapons. it's cool that the setting is here, but is it normal that I have to know the game and tweak it accordingly instead of the devs doing their fricking job?
I remember how curious and unusual game's setting looked when first game was out. So much potential. But then they squandered all of it for some shitty low effort virtue signalling, ran IP into the ground, failed commercially and were confined to some GaaS mines to not get axed right away.
that won't happen because the devs have gone woke broke, even if 3rd entry somehow comes out its gonna be shit.
with the progress made from dis1 to dis2, dis3 would have a black transgender paraplegic as a main character and would run at 12fps so no thank you

lmao Dishonored 2 is so much better and is my favorite game
There's nothing funny about how shit your taste is. Not even the first Dishonored was a good game and the sequel is even worse.
Have fun save scumming though, homosexual.
Your opinion is incorrect (mine is correct)
I concede.
>save scumming
>abandoning sneaking if you are discovered and fight until the end
lmao
Then why are you in this thread
Because I used to like Dishonored. They (esp. 2) just haven't aged well.

You're a homosexual and moron, so no one cares because no one can commiserate with that existence, you are utterly alone until death.
so true lol, the protag would probably be a MAP as well
That's kinda sorta technically all men.
yeah
Where would it take place though?
>13 months
wtf
>he doesn't know about the perfection of undecimber

It's set in a Tyvian village:
https://bethesda.net/en/article/1P5zGScDTYTqfmoQya8Hlp/deathloop-is-set-in-the-dishonored-world
Before Death of the Outsider – A small Tyvian fishing village is established on the remote northern island of Blackreef.

>Emily's empire went to shit
A perfect end to a perfect couple of bad sequels. Dishonored is a standalone game, there was never anything else.
Death of the Outsider was so fricking pointless.
geez I didn't even know Emily looked that in Dishonored 2. Was considering playing but you just convinced me not to
Way to ruin a sweet little girl
sex with evil d1 emily
>she casually mentions all the people she'll have executed when she's Empress
boner
That's a child
How would that work the Outsider is dead/gone now so no more powers
They would just add more Black folk and troonys
How's Death of the Outsider? It's free on the EG store
I love it as much as 2
Oh shit it is, thanks for the heads up Anon
Play it and find out 🙂
It has some neat ideas but completely kills the mystery surrounding the outsider
Terrible
why does D2 get so much hate on here? i played through it again recently and really enjoyed it, why don't you guys like it?
>no Colantonio
>another game with Harvey Smith in charge feat. Anita Sarkeesian

It's dead, Jim
I'm 200% sure Colantonio was the only thing stopping Smith from putting Diablo loot in Prey

I'm genuinely puzzled why the frick they thought always-online is a must-have component for this game, even in single-player.
why didn't corvo frick emily?
>Implying it would be good
They raped the franchise enough, destroyed Corvo, made all his efforts and journey pointless, canonized Emily as a crazy b***h, retconned the story over and over and killed the Outsider

After Dishonored 2? Frick no, keep Harvey Smith away from Dishonored.
Frick you, pal, you got your sequel AND spinoff. It's the age of the Prey-chads, now.
The last good Arkane game was Dark Messiah of Might and Magic.
Dishonored is a far better evolution of Dark Messiah
Better combat, stealth, power, level design, etc...
Too bad the studio that made it is fricking shit now.
I'll take any Deus Ex clone at this point, holy shit. It's been years.
Dishonored is overrated and thats why D2 flopped. The stealth isn't that good. Hell any stealth game where you can savescum is questionable in and of itself. Play on max difficulty and never reload during a level?
>uhhh just play perfectly bro
Shit game design.

if its comes out its gonna be pozzed troony garbage
its over.
>game set in Pandyssia never ever
It hurts
I remember how curious and unusual game's setting looked when first game was out. So much potential. But then they squandered all of it for some shitty low effort virtue signalling, ran IP into the ground, failed commercially and were confined to some GaaS mines to not get axed right away.
I'd like a Dishonored for VR.
