as much as i love the idea of a game full of people who are primarily interested in being perverted, subscription-based games are a bigger turn off than anything i'd say "no" to in the bedroom!
Why do we even have specialized gear? Wouldn't it be easier to just have heavy, medium and light gear? Leave the other stats like mind or accuracy to the players and their materia. I hate the arguement of minmaxxers and tryhards wringing out the fun but we're in a constant fight against mobs and bosses. I also get we have a finite time here but if a tank doesn't want to tank and I'm feeling risky with a dodge monk tank then let me at them.

because that's how this game works
tanks have fending gear, healers have healing gear, casters have casting gear >dodge monk
monk had something very similar which was removed in endwalker
you could essentially put a "tank stance" on with fists of earth and take reduced damage but it's gone now
i remember tanking a full dungeon as a monk because our tank threw a hissy fit and we kicked him, but only strict roles are allowed now

I don't see what the big fuss is. Samurai plays like a sped up version of the old combat system.
1.0 >auto attack to build tp >use tp to execute weaponskills
Current >weaponskill builds gauge >use gauge for more attacks
Maybe then I could finally help out with TP and MP regen as a Bard and become your friend.

I like to help people. Pre-ShB Astrologian was my favorite healer. Being able to spread Spear or Balance on the party or giving Bard an enhanced Spear so their dots start popping off was great. Then there's the TP and MP refresh I could plop onto rezzed players to get them back into the fight.
Just give me more support skills.

The modding scene just took off and all those rejects flooded over because of the ease of modding and there being a free trial. It's awful since a good portion of the mods are just stolen from blender resources or mods from other games, adjusted in blender, then imported into the game and shoved behind a paywall for $10 per outfit. Worse modding community I've ever seen.
I want the modding scene to die. Got nothing against them since I have that femhroth mod but I love a good shitstorm. Maybe even make two factor authenticator a must to combat the flood of bots.

I find it hilarious when you point out the game doesn't look as good as people make it seem, morons come out of woodwork and post their hypermodded game while being proud of taking 2-3 hours every time the game updates to make sure they dont need to reinstall it every single time
Maybe when the last alliance raid comes out, both parts have been great so far and the armor is nice.

each role is defined by the unique gear it has, and there's no chance they're going to make a new classification of gear after several expansions
