I wonder why they won't just, like, release these games on anything else? I know they have some massive flaws, but come on. Sony fricking released Okage on every goddamn platform after the PS2.
This. It's bullshit that it's one game divided up that way, but in an age where you can just mod your PS2 and play them for free it's a little better. The games aren't great but they have novelty. The fake desktop with emails and wallpapers is charming. The core game is really repetitive.
The developers looked at a number of MMORPGs such as Phantasy Star Online, Ultima Online, and Final Fantasy XI for inspiration, and drew influences from the prior works of character designer Yoshiyuki Sadamoto (Neon Genesis Evangelion) and scenario writer Kazunori Itō (Ghost in the Shell).[34] Itō noted that casting the player into the role of a subscriber of The World creates a unique story-telling situation which draws the player deeper into the plot.[35]
a 1/4 of a offline morpg with kindergarten gameplay. have fun buying the last two parts if u make it past the first and second without being bored to tears.
Good game with dated gameplay kind of like an mmo esque diablo there's simple dungeon crawling and an interesting mystery story; definitely one of the more unique games out there
Man I love that shit of how you and your team are in a hub and they go out and buy items on their own and shit for your next journey, no other game besides the last story did that and that game is already a decade old
repetitive janky kino
100% is not really worth it but there's a bunch of missable content if you want the full thing
might need a guide
infection's final boss is by far the hardest of the 4 discs and might take a ton of tries, after that it's mostly a smooth sail
1/4th of a game.
1/4th of a really good game*
this

Go play FFXI (even retail). It brought back that feeling, even if I, like me, didn't play it before, just tried it last year.

The most accurate early MMORPG experience simulator, make sure to do lots of reading.

Epileptic seizures.
17hours of mmokino. Should have emulated it instead though. If you like this kind of mmo. It's based on ff11 and plays pretty much just like it
I don't believe it is based on ff11

GU felt like such a step back from these games. I know they're repetitive but frick was the gameplay of GU worse in almost every way.
GU was shitty shonen weeb shit while IMOQ were good mysteries

You need the whole game collection to fully beat it
Some shitty game hyped by the "old good" crowd.
I was going to say, "Terajima Ryoko!" but apparently best girl doesn't show up until the third game.
I got the entire set in that box you got if you sent away those coupons, but uhhhh, yeah I dunno. It's a game I guess.
An atmospheric, but fairly simple/grindy JRPG. Your mileage will vary based on how into the aesthetic you are. I think it's super cozy.
I only bought the first two games for the anime DVDs.
Good game with dated gameplay kind of like an mmo esque diablo there's simple dungeon crawling and an interesting mystery story; definitely one of the more unique games out there
To add on this it also captures the early mmo and early internet era culture very well
