Any elemental/electric combination is bound to be overshadowed by its respective Rotom because its stats and abilities are just too convenient, it can do damage, tank a lot of hits or do a bit of both
They'd have to come up with some really outstanding moves and abilities to make a new electric/fire or electric/water that isn't outclassed
I wouldn't mind it so much if they weren't all just improved/nerfed versions of the same Pokemon. Blacephalon was a better Chandelure, and Hisuian Typhlosion is a worse Blacephalon.
Alolan Marowak and the new croc at least get passes for being different in their functionality (the former being an extremely strong physical wallbreaker/trick room sweeper, and the latter being a bulky special attacking tank).
