I sure like my handhelds to be the size of a baguette. We've been taken for absolute fools. Remember when handhelds could realistically fit into your pocket?

If you bought a Steam Deck it's assumed you wear cargo shorts.
I also own a big truck.
the new handhelds drive modern AAA games and not some phone games adapted to a gamepad
I wonder how powerful a modern version the size of a 3DS XL could be if it was built for performance.
ps vita had 2200 mah battery
steam deck has 5200 mAh
SD games around 2h on a modern game
Vita plays around 4-5h according to wikipedia so the amount of stuff pushed to the screen has to be like 10% of SD.
MaH doesn't calculate battery size, we just act like it does because most phone batteries run at 3.7v, the Vita does, Deck does not, it runs at 7.7v. The Deck has a 40wh battery, Vita has an 8wh battery, the Deck's is 5x the size.
but nintendo magic thoughever
That's not a baguette
The farthest you should ever go with a handheld from your house is your backyard. Sorry, but any grown "man" who plays handheld vidyas in public is a manchild.
Playing any vidya other than shit like fifa makes you a manchild to most normalgays no matter where you do it. Regardless, new "handhelds" are worse for kids too. They're OK for taking to your friend's house or for staying with your grandma, but how are kids supposed to pop out a switch real quick in the hallway between classes to trade pokemon? And how many of the things have been stolen because the owner had to leave their backpack unattended? For something to truly be a handheld it must be playground certified and switch-likes aren't.
I've been using my deck for the first time in ages to play Persona 3 and the size is irrelevant, because I'm getting sub-2 hours battery life anyway and so have to keep it plugged into the mains if I want to do a full Tartarus run in one sitting.
i get around 4.5 hours for p3fes on my oled deck
>being xboxhueg
>not being able to play modern games
for handhelds, you can only choose one
now post the dick
You can't realistically make a PC handheld that fits in your pocket but you can come close. I would not mind a mainstream Air handheld, just waiting for a big company to realize that there is an opening in the market for it with all these giants like the Deck, Go, Ally and Claw.
I think the best way to get a portable PC handheld is the Win 2 method. Deck control layout, replace keyboard with trackpads, 6" screen, 37wh battery, cooling has progressed enough that you could get a device that size to 15w without it getting hot. Only problem is the only chip that does well at max of 15w's is Valves APU.
A Valve made pocketable clamshell Steam Deck with the same performance and battery life but the size of a chunky 3DSXL is possible and pocketable.
There is currently a Win Mini but because it needs cooling and battery to do 25w because of the chip it is just a touch to big...
gpd win mini does if you dont wear emo pants
Technically pcb itself is roughly at size of phone
not having at least one analog stick is a waste
A lot of the android handhelds are pocketable. I'm still waiting for a handheld pc that fits in my pocket. Even if it had a weaker cpu, something like the Ally in a smaller form factor would be amazing.
>I'm still waiting for a handheld pc that fits in my pocket
sounds like a (You) problem
If only there was an android port for the game I want I would forget about pc gaming and stick to emulation mostly
I want a Skyrim port.
>Remember when handhelds could realistically fit into your pocket?
No.
>Remember when handhelds could realistically fit into your pocket?
Yeah, and I don't miss it one bit. have a nice day, Manlet Tears.
>handhelds
>fits in hand
>complains he cant put in pocket
wew
Seems like you need to get some better pants, nerd.
For me it's the GameBoy Advance SP and the PSP.
it's not a handheld, it's a tablet-like thingy, designed to be carried around in a case and pulled out whenever you feel like playing something. everyone with any fleeting interest in device knows that
That's a banana, not a baguette
It looks like a face, the banana is the mouth and the sticks are the eyes making this -> 🙂

yeah i remember the game boy pocket days
I don't care I still love m'Deck. It fits in my bag when I travel and fits next to my bed for playing in it.
i have a odin 2 and it’s pretty amazing
my Steam Deck collects dust now
I wish OG Xbox had an android emulator. I also wish Xbox emulation was better overall.
Handhelds any bigger than the switch lite only belongs in three places:
>carry on luggage for any trip for two+ weeks (or longer) that isn't a holiday
>on 4+ hour journeys inside a coach, a private car or a plane
>inside a house away from a desk
That's it. These "handhelds" are UMPCs that can play graphically demanding video games away from your desktop. They cannot be shoved into your pocket because that is not their purpose. Anybody who pulls this outside in public is begging for it to be stolen. If you're outside, it means you should be doing things, like work, or socialising, or grabbing groceries.
flopped + shitted
