I think mascot platformers should have deep stories that can be enjoyed by anyone. It's insulting that most stories in them are just soulless drivel.

That's not how you use that fricking picture. Fricking homosexuals can't even meme right.
Help! I'm being oppressed!
My IQ is 100 points more than yours.
Nah, I'm intelligenter.
I'm intelligenter than you even if your talents were tripled.
I have no talent, just high IQ.
I have 153 more IQ points than you because you have none.
You're too gay to be smart tho.
the guy who invented computers LOVED dick
he got castrated for it in fact
He wasn't gay enough to be a moron.
There's nothing gayer than having brown eyes.
yes there is
There's nothing gayer than your eyes.
There's nothing sissier than brown eyes.
you're gayer that brown eyes
*than
hrm, only a sub 300 iq such as yourself would see the need to correct an honest grammar mistake instead of daveling in fine literdature
at least I'm wise enough to reply to a worthless post with a basedjak
There's nothing less gay than wanting to dig around in brown eyes sockets with a deveiner.
I'm sure you like to dig in the browneye of other men
You’re right, OP. I think that’s why Mario always felt like a cereal box mascot, while Sonic attempted more. I appreciate its sincere and ambitious, but moronic approach.
Why is this image always accompanied by the most pants-on-head moronic posts ever
"Freedom of Speech" baby
>twitter meme.
go watch a movie and let me bing bing wahoo in peace
got you covered gay
I think games don't need a story at all and they're mostly only ever there to distract you from the lack of quality gameplay
Open world games are better with zero lore? It's not either or dumbass,
Open world games suck by default and none of them were ever made better by adding lore
maybe the problem is that the lore just isn't good enough
Maybe if the gameplay was better it wouldn't matter
>maybe if the combat system was deep enough it wouldn't matter if the npcs in town were just vending machines with no personality
wow really makes you want to explore
You know what would make me want to explore?
Actual meaningful rewards for exploration instead instead shitty crafting materials that just clog your inventory. But thank god the NPCs spout exposition.
>I just want a bigger stick
don't worry I got just the game for you
Games are a uniquely positioned medium for telling a story and can in some ways tell them better than the written word
What mascot platformers even fit the bill?
