I took the cure myself. I am not living with molerat disease for the rest of my life. If vault 81 cared about him so much, why didnt they send in security? Why didnt his ugly b***h of a mother go in there herself? Who knows what complications or side effects molerat disease could theoretically cause down the line. Im not going through that just so some c**t can do nothing and live in a vault the rest of his life. Im out here saving the commonwealth. What's he actually doing other than playing with Erin's pussy?

No it's not, just don't activate the robot in there or bring any companions because them getting hit gives you the disease.

Save scum, it's easy. They spawn at the same spots every time so just use some of the hundreds of mines and grenades the game feeds you and you'll never get hit.

It was never about getting hit. It was about sending a message to Vault 81. I didn't kill the boy. They killed him, with their negligence.

        >NOOOO! Youre not supposed to play within the confines of the games rules! What do you mean you play on pc and refuse to use the console?! Youre meant to be a good goy and save the useless piece of script in the form of an npc and roleplay a mystical magical fairytale leprechaun and heal yourself at the same time!

You can do the exploit on the console version too, no modding or scripting required.

The real pro gamer move is exiting the dialogue when agreeing to save the kid and dropping the cure on the ground, you save him while also keeping the cure for yourself

You guys are so weird about this. Just take the cure yourself. Why are you doing all this round about dogshit when its as simple as taking the cure? You went in to get the cure. You put your life on the line. Nobody knew there was only one cure. By default, all rescuers who delve into a dangerous situation are entitled to support before anyone else. They are deserving of that. Thats a perk of putting your neck on the line to begin with. There was only one cure? SS is entitled to it first by default. Instead of saying, oh well, that's unfortunate but its your call, the doc shits the bed. Frick him and frick the vault.

Doing nothing will kill the child and then send you to an uncertain fate.

I am doing whatever is necessary to guarantee my safety. It's not my child. I didn't put him there. His blood is the hands of whoever the frick built this crazy contraption.

You don't need the cure if you pop every molerat with vats before they hit you and you get the good ending of the quest

I get what youre saying but I feel like its intended for you to get this disease and be presented with this moral dilemma. They could have scripted it better where the second you enter the secret vault you contract it or you have it show up when you return or some bullshit like that. I dont think its meant for you to gunfu your way through.

On an unrelated note, am I the only one who never liked vats? Its why I dont like the originals. The only time I liked using vats is the long range teleport melee build.

I found VATs more useful in 3 and NV, moreso 3.
For 4 I only really used it for crits and luck

The whole thing was bullshit, robot doctor refuses to make any more cures ever, mole rats can infect you via biting your companions. Removed the virus via console, spawned fifty cures in the vault hospital and never visited again.

Too many of the quests in fallout are morally grey. The best bet is to play for yourself.
Also install you need to install patches to fix this shit since if they bite your companion or even the robot you can activate the virus gets you too.

Goes both ways. Id rather trust the science on this one. At least it's made by a robot and not some fricking incompetent or corrupt human. I wouldn't let the institute doctors heal me though. Who knows what tracking and mind control dogshit they put in the shots. Probably neurodynes.

I'm playing on survival, mole rat disease it's the most bening disease ever in this shit, even a common cold is more harmful than this shit.
You can't even pass it on someone else by having sex with another person or other kind of fluids, it ONLY works on molerats, and stays in you.
All it does is remove a minuscule amount of HP, and in rare cases delete a level from you which it's easy as hell to recover since there is no level cap.
It's like living with the bare notion of having a minuscule amount of scoliosis.
I care so little about it, it's a wonder why the frick is this kid dying. Is it because his HP was so little? Because he was so weak?
I don't even care, so I just give it to him.
And speaking of that shitty vault, I also detox the flag who is addicted to Jet. If I could have sex with his sister that's insanely hot, I would have murder the guy without a second thought so she can leave and join my settlements, but i don't even care about it if she is just going to be a merchant.
I have already plenty of those, and I need more ventures to earn money, not to fricking spend it.

Well this is kinda a fallout 4 thread I guess
    So anons
leather, armor, combat armor, raider or mixed?

I have the autism that has to have me wear full matching armor while also having good enough stats to tank damage without power armor so I've been playing 60% of my playthrough with
the combat armor and upgraded vault suit and its just getting kinda boring. Also I can't seem to find any medium or heavy armor types other than combat armor, its always light leather and metal
