This, and acknowledging the positives along with the negatives doesn't mean you're incapable of criticism and just mindlessly consume product, like the genwargays assume.

im not a fence sitter; i have my preferred gens. i simply like them all and recognise that they are all good games
But it is objectively wrong, i'm sorry. I really love Pokemon, it is my favorite video game series and i always buy the new gen day one. I haven't enjoyed a Pokemon game since BW2, i try really hard to like them but since then each new entry seems worst than its predecessor. The newer games aren't as polished, content-heavy as the olders ones and there is no replay value because of all the scripts and cutscenes.

I played pretty much only pokemon throughout the years as I was growing up and even then they still lost me with their shit games made for kids under 10
Being real for a second, none of the mainline Pokemon games are bad in pure fundamentals. It's hard to make a bad game where the foundation is the exact same throughout all installments, nothings terrible enough to actively make people hate playing the game. Of course some pokemon games have better mechanics, or better modes of play, but Pokemon gameplay itself is never the problem.
People seem to just get into arguments here about either things outside of gameplay or completely superfluous things.
