>I have it on my wishlist but it seems like AA slop.
I played it at launch and didnt sleep. 36 hours of Outward straight. Real slop. Maybe get a fricking job or go outside if you hate video games, moron
I have 500 games in my library and played all unplayed ones last year for the same reason. Didn't feel good at all. Stopped buying games since then and just wishlist and buy when I want to play it (which is never).
>have 105 games in steam library >only completed aroud 30 ish so far
not having much fun either I just tell myself so It's not wasted money
>like 800+ games on steam and gog >only completed like 40
don't get me wrong I've played a huge amount of them but a game usually has to be really really good or tailored to my specific tastes for me to have the gumption to complete it.
I don't know how you guys do it, I always complete one game at a time, once it's done I buy the next one. There are special cases where I buy a bunch that are in discount, but maybe just like 3-4 games, never in the hundreds
I started buying all the highly discounted steam games and bundles when I started getting some money but never played them. Stopped doing that because it's moronic.
There is literally no reason to force yourself to play games like that. "Clearing a backlog" is not a valid reason. Just play until it's not fun. Don't play the 200 random bundle games you bought as a sale on 10 games in them if you don't want to.
I miss when my only options for playing vidya were either >getting one game as a gift from a birthday/holiday >having my parents rent me a physical copy of a game for a week
either way I would always enjoy the game to its fullest no matter how old, new, popular or obscure the game was
shut up and play mental omega, elona+, krastorio, dominions 5, kerbal space program, , catacylsm: dark days ahead, tales of maj'eyal 4, distant worlds, beyond all reason, mount and blade, age of empires 2 definitive edition, heroes of might and magic iii complete edition, victoria 2, ftl: advanced edition, frogcomposband, terraria calamity/fargo's souls, they are billions, dawn of war ultimate apocalypse, half life hazardous course 2, gunman chronicles, half life paranoia, warcraft 3 warhammer eternal strife, warcraft 3 chronicles of the second war, black mesa, children of a dead earth, generals zero hour, command and conquer 3 kane's wrath, homeworld, etc. etc.
The last AAA game i bought was monster hunter world back in whenever it came out and i bought again because it came with iceborne last sale. Frick videogames, hate the fandoms it creates and people swiping their credit card to buy some stupid ass skin.
I genuinely don’t understand how you homosexuals haven’t learned that triple A slop is completely worthless and overpriced.
Take the indie pill already, there genuinely could not be a better time to find a dozen games that all scratch your specific itch, will all give you more hours individually than current AAA games, and STILL will manage to cost less than a single $70 game.
Free yourself from shit games
Slop to not slip ratio is somehow in indie’s favor compared to modern triple As.
And even if it wasn’t, Atleast you are getting slop for 10 bucks that you can easily refund instead of 70 with a company that will fight you tooth and nail to deny you a refund
You just don't understand the power level of nogame anons. You've just discovered this hobby recently, you think indie games are new and interesting. While we've played all of them years ago, no matter how big their budget is.
Not OP but, can I get some game recommendations like these ones?
Roguelikes: Noita, FTL, Isaac, CDDA, Caves of Qud, Slay the Spire
Survival/sandbox/simulation: Terraria, Subnautica, Stardew Valley, Signal Simulator, Voices of the Void
Strategy: Civ series, Anno 1404, XCOM series
Factory games: Factorio, Satisfactory, Oxygen Not Included
Colony sims: Dwarf Fortress, Rimworld, Against the Storm, Frostpunk
RPG/Action: Monster Hunter series, Souls series
Need new games to play with minimal story while listening to podcasts or watching television shows.
Here are some games with brief descriptions. >Roguelikes
Rift Wizard: Turn based grid like roguelikes. But with a hefty dose of roguelite philosophy in how the game works. Beat the screen, pick your next room. Just that you see exactly which enemies and what the layout of that room is.
Which is crucial when everything in it might resist your spells 100%
Very focused on build crafting. You get the skill points and buy what you want. Only consumables and special shrines are random.Try the exact same spells and skills every time until it works if you want. No meta progression. Amazing game, I'm very excited for the sequel soon. >Survival (but also Rogueish)
Unreal World: Finnish iron age survival. It's good. >Strategy Games
If you like XCOM do give the other similar series a try. Xenonauts and the UFO games. I played UFO:Aftershock and enjoyed it for being basically pausable realtime XCOM. With some really sweet gear. Like thermals and other sensors plus cloaking devices for your scouts. No pods here. >Factory games
Dyson Sphere Program: Factorio in spaace. You're building a dyson sphere, or multiple if you want. Also you get to build in the third dimension without it working like Satisfactory.
Production Line: Optimize your car factory. >Colony Sims
Songs of Syx: Takes after DF quite a bit. Aims for a much larger scale city building with thousands of citizens. Along with the world map to wage war in.
Timberborn: You're beavers trying to survive in a post apocalyptic wasteland. Managing water and making dams to make it through the droughts. Has a very neat building system where you get to stack shit on top of each other to save space and travel distance.
You do. You're a big mech running around. Flying between planets and solar systems. You build with construction drones right from the start though. And research both buildings like Factorio. As well as upgrades for your mech/drones
I'm scared of being old. Imagine having wrinkles and being fat and everything basically sucking and there's nothing you can do about it. Once I hit 25 I think I'll just kys myself so I never know what being a gross 25 year old and over feels like.
Im 26 and still look 18(get asked for ID, get comments and compliments from girls, guys clearly jelly). I used to powerlift when I was 18 and looked 30. I also have a massive full beard I have to shave every week. Do what the information what you will. (Im ripped af and havent been in the gym in 9 years kek). I love how moronic zoomers are, but they go bald when theyre 18 and have chubby flabby bodies so who cares what they think
if you was never fat , only taking care of your body will be enough to look average
t. moron who got fat on high school and still don't consider my body average
Once you get a job gaming doesn't do it anymore
on the contrary, gaming is all that does it for me in this wageslave era
Play Outward
I have it on my wishlist but it seems like AA slop.
I have, all the ones that interest me at least
Branch out. Try something you might not like.
Outward is indie slop, bad combat but carried by a fantastic soundtrack and good rpg design that rewards adventuring
I turned 26 and love vidya more than ever
>I have it on my wishlist but it seems like AA slop.
I played it at launch and didnt sleep. 36 hours of Outward straight. Real slop. Maybe get a fricking job or go outside if you hate video games, moron
Have you played all the good old games yet?
play Against the storm
Not OP but I have been meaning to. It looks fun. Lately I have just been grinding wall world just to have something.
it's so good and well made. Some things are broken, but in a fun way.
Tons of QoL as well, worth every penny
I have become obsessed with roguelites because they simulate the idea that I’m progressing in life even though I’m stuck.
Maybe give them a try
I can't even get past the first level of the bullet rythm rogue game lmao
shit's grim
I just started Heroes of Hammerwatch yesterday and I’m already hooked. Doesn’t seem too challenging for new players
>have 105 games in steam library

What do you do if you can't bring yourself to finish a game?
I started buying all the highly discounted steam games and bundles when I started getting some money but never played them. Stopped doing that because it's moronic.
There is literally no reason to force yourself to play games like that. "Clearing a backlog" is not a valid reason. Just play until it's not fun. Don't play the 200 random bundle games you bought as a sale on 10 games in them if you don't want to.
i dont understand morons who must play every game they got in bundles when they aren't interested in them at all
it's an autism thing
I wish Steam let you remove games you didn't want from your account for real. Then I wouldn't feel obligated to complete them.
I miss when my only options for playing vidya were either
>getting one game as a gift from a birthday/holiday
>having my parents rent me a physical copy of a game for a week
either way I would always enjoy the game to its fullest no matter how old, new, popular or obscure the game was
>t. steam median gamer
i have 400 shit games on steam from all the bundles
what you expect me? to play every indie crap that looks like shit ?
Yes.
For me it's koreanslop grinding treadmills
shut up and play mental omega, elona+, krastorio, dominions 5, kerbal space program, , catacylsm: dark days ahead, tales of maj'eyal 4, distant worlds, beyond all reason, mount and blade, age of empires 2 definitive edition, heroes of might and magic iii complete edition, victoria 2, ftl: advanced edition, frogcomposband, terraria calamity/fargo's souls, they are billions, dawn of war ultimate apocalypse, half life hazardous course 2, gunman chronicles, half life paranoia, warcraft 3 warhammer eternal strife, warcraft 3 chronicles of the second war, black mesa, children of a dead earth, generals zero hour, command and conquer 3 kane's wrath, homeworld, etc. etc.
also forgot command modern operations and wargame: red dragon
you have to play those as well you gay
it's over grandpa, time to sleep in the coffin
I'm literally a walking corpse
I'm about to turn 28 too. Probably gonna give up gaming this year and hit the gym more regularly.
Ok frick off and dont shit up Ganker
same to be honest bro
>I'm about to turn 28
>and hit the gym more regularly
10 years later buddy, but maybe you can still pull 25+ girls once you are 30 with good body (and good money of course)
I don't care about all that. I just wanna stay fit.
Im 32 and i play the same 5 games over and over for years.
Give dishonored a try if you haven't. Every game in the series still holds up pretty well to this day.
Not like they are ancient games
Played that when it released. It was okay but I didn't beat it.
There is really nothing to play.
The last AAA game i bought was monster hunter world back in whenever it came out and i bought again because it came with iceborne last sale. Frick videogames, hate the fandoms it creates and people swiping their credit card to buy some stupid ass skin.

there is literally no difference in getting a 70$ or 10$ game refunded on steam.
Most AAA coomsoomers aren’t on steam
name a single good indie game just one dumb cat poster
Darkest dungeon
already finished that one and you're not dumb anymore anon.
Thanks mane
keep the cat posting up bro
hehe the cat got a pineapple helmet
dishwasher its the only good one i know
Heavy bullets
You just don't understand the power level of nogame anons. You've just discovered this hobby recently, you think indie games are new and interesting. While we've played all of them years ago, no matter how big their budget is.
Indie games are just flash games that you pay money for, they're a scam
I know AAA games suck but indie games are mostly garbage too. Also I pay for production values like a sane person, not hours played, Black person.
>I play only western AAA slop
Fixed that for you
you haven't even played rimworld yet
Happy Birthday, anon.
thanks fren
it's time to finally try it out
Twisted metal 2

Lies of P is a must-play for someone who likes Souls
na it isn't . its shit
>Souls like Nr.561 surely will be good this time
Here are some games with brief descriptions.
>Roguelikes

In Dyson Sphere, you control a character like Factorio? I thought it was a buildan sim
You do. You're a big mech running around. Flying between planets and solar systems. You build with construction drones right from the start though. And research both buildings like Factorio. As well as upgrades for your mech/drones
Hey thanks. I've played Unreal World before but I'll look into the other games you recommended.
If you liked StS, try Monster Train. Roguebook is also a rough hidden gem.
Play Creeper World 4
I'm scared of being old. Imagine having wrinkles and being fat and everything basically sucking and there's nothing you can do about it. Once I hit 25 I think I'll just kys myself so I never know what being a gross 25 year old and over feels like.
I'm 37 and my body is still in decent shape. Try taking better care of yourself?
just have a nice day now
>31
>Less fat than when I was 25
I mean you're allowed to die. But why do it already?
Im 26 and still look 18(get asked for ID, get comments and compliments from girls, guys clearly jelly). I used to powerlift when I was 18 and looked 30. I hate normalgays so fricking much
Tormented Souls 2
My life got destroyed and i'm also 28 yo. The only thing i learned was that videogames were a mistake.
