It really depends.
In-game competitive doesn't really support 6v6, which is where Tyranitar shines the best. He's generally a good utility/mid-game mon now that he has knock off. I'd say he's a bit better than he was in gen 8.
He's not that great in 3v3 singles, but doubles sand is alright, if not a bit stally.
If Excadrill (his biggest partner) were in the game he'd be pretty good, but you gotta rely on stuff like Lycanroc for offensive sand now. Defensive sand uses stuff like Glimmora, Garganacl, and Gastrodon.
I remember them being used a bit, but a lot of people prep for them now with Haze or status. Plus, the future looks grim for them and Tyranitar with the DLC when all four Ogerpon forms are released.
(though Ttar might actually be a good partner for the rock one)
in 3v3 i made hypno work, so i guess it can work decently as well, just use the fricking sand, how braindead can you be? its a easy mon to use, spread damage put rocks and die, another option is to become a wincon with tera + DD which is wack with so many booster paradoxes + scarf, good thing is that it can break sashes which is very common in this format, just dont play smogon please dont be a gay
T tar was decent in the previous SV VGC formats, but without his mole buddy he's a little mediocre. Houndstone and lycanrock are pretty good partners in vgc, though ogerpon existing makes ttar's life hard
just play Pokemon showdown a couple times with your favorite shitmons. TTar is in the underused tier right now and the simulator makes it very intuitive to build a team and test it. just go to team builder and select the UU format and get to work
Just use a Smogon set as a baseline snd then adjust the move pool and surrounding team to accommodate your playstyle and what you want. It might take you a while to figure out the meta online and what strategies/moves to expect from certain teams, but once you get enough knowledge and have things to counter you can fly through the ranks easily. Especially because most people just copy/paste Smogon sets without any change or adaptations and just braindead spam the same exact strategies endlessly. Once you know exactly what they'll do it's so easy to beat them. It's embarrassing how often I annihilated teams in the early S/V meta with Shadow Ball Jolteon because brain dead Gholdengo users couldn't account for anything not in their precious meta.

How about Dondozo and Tatsugiri?

How about Sandy Shocks?
he's better on sun teams
I don't know what that means, reminder that I don't do pvp in Pokémon.

What moves should I have on him as well as item?

Help
Could have told me legendaries and Paradox Pokémon were banned

What was so special about Gholdengo besides spamming Make It Rain?
>Just use a Smogon set as a baseline snd then adjust the move pool and surrounding team
I don't see teams listed with specific Pokémon.
