I want a miniature game about cold war brush wars in a fantasy setting. I'm talking elf paracommandos doing nighttime drops over their recently independent former colonies, dark elf colonial rearguards fighting beastmen witch doctors, mercenary wizards armed with spells and battle rifles.
Where would I even start looking for such a game, let alone the miniatures for it?

Miniatures you would have to source from different places. As for rules, I have heard good things about the Bolt Action rules, you might want to have a look at those rules.

Written by a former GW employee. At its core, it's golden age 40k with fleshed out rules for morale and randomized unit activation. It's fast, easy and fun.
