I don't know what went wrong but why is it hard to have a successor of Parappa? We managed to have one of just about every other genre and other popular video game like Hat in Time and Yooka Laylee but that gets the short end of the stick.

thanks. i almost never use references when i draw except for characters i don't draw often, i need to work on that. i used blender for this. grease pencil is really neat, you can do a lot of interesting things with it
I meant mostly references for the animation itself.
Don't be afraid to use one, animation is extremely difficult and even the most pros of pros use proper references.
I need to give greasepencil a try.

yeah the greasepencil objects are 3d like everything else so they have a bunch of verts that can be weight painted. what i was thinking of doing though you could also totally do with textured planes as well
