No it's pretty bad. There's a total of three enemy types and 1 (one) combo to use on them. The commanding mechanic is shallow as a tear. The story is boring and predictable. And the levels are linear as all hell.
Shits not good bro.
>levels are linear
It's not an amazing game, but this is a positive thing. Don't act like a terrified game designer who doesn't understand level design.
>but this is a positive thing
The only positive is that you go through the game quicker.
Linear games can work if the combat or other systems of the game actually justify or distract from the linearity but Ryse doesn't do this.
Also it doesn't even have "level design". It has straight line ff13 tier hallways with a scroll or two tucked into a corner.
Don't act like a moron in thinking this game is a good example of linearity done correctly.
>Linear games can work if the combat or other systems of the game actually justify or distract from the linearity but Ryse doesn't do this.
Black person not everything needs to be 200 hours long open world borefests. Most masterpieces are linear games, not the open world shit. >Also it doesn't even have "level design". It has straight line ff13 tier hallways with a scroll or two tucked into a corner.
People can't stop sucking FFX off and it's the most linear mainline game in the series, even more than XIII which actually has Gran Pulse as an open area.
zoe was a tech demo and second runner improved on the core mechanics, ryse is fun and the improvements that would come with a sequel would push it over the edge.
sorry you didn't like it, why are you itt? it's strange that anons who don't like a particular game go into that thread just to be butthurt over it. why don't you guys just go to a thread about a game you like?
The only thing Ryse had going for it was looking good. The gameplay/combat was very underwhelming. If you mean something with a better fleshed out combat system then there would be an interesting sequel idea. Using something similar to For Honor's take on combat maybe.
It's the better realized version of whatever they tried to do with converting the control scheme for the kinnect. Much better mechanics, that's the only way you could really save Ryse as a game.
No better feeling than hearing my co op partner go, "shit this guy's good" when I racked up a 300× combo in the arena. It's basically just a rhythm game but people really didn't understand it.
they need to fix their history if they do anything else with this crap
take liberties with it sure, but at least have the core facts and people and dates line up
propa sloppa in Rise total junk
Ryse is a failed spiritual successor to shadow of rome, a much much better game. The problem is that a true sequel to shadow of rome cannot happen, it's too violent. You won't be able to decapitate and torture women, Black folk midgets and morons in anything that would be made today. Shadow of Rome was a one of a kind thing that will never happen again. You will never have a game where you can cut off both arms of someone, watch them piss themselves and then decapitate them, then throw their head into the cheering crowd, other than the original Shadow of Rome.
that game is terrible
Confirmed for never playing Ryse
why would I play slop?
I can guarantee that 99% of what you play would be called slop by this board lol
homosexual Black person

I know, i played it and liked it ¯_(ツ)_/¯
That's good for you. Doesn't change the fact it's shit and won't get a sequel.
But that isn’t even what the thread is about, it’s about wanting a sequel. Absolutely nobody is expecting one.
The thread is about a shit game your tried to say wasn't shit.
But that’s not what op said at all?
Read the fricking thread moron.
I have, i’ve been in it the whole time ;—) maybe english isn’t for you and reading comprehension can be hard for autistic people, but you’ll get there
You're trying too hard.
Ok

It's better than an open world and you know it.
The game respects your time more than most modern games.
It doesn't "respect" your time anon.
It's barebones and has zero content.
There is a difference.
>Linear games can work if the combat or other systems of the game actually justify or distract from the linearity but Ryse doesn't do this.

only thing it has going for it are its visuals, otherwise its glorified qte simulator
this was pretty boring but i could see how romaboos like it
>QTEs: The Game
You are the only person who wants a sequel.
>ready pilums 🙂
ITS PILAE YOU BARBARIAN FRICK
ryse was gay but i'd like an actual good game about Ancient Rome. Imagine how sick a game like Kingdom Come would be if it was set in Ancient Rome
An AC game set in Rome (and nothing but Rome) would be nice.
Just a giant sprawling city and maybe a bit of countryside
1500 rome... home
Anon... that was released 13 years ago. I know it's not ancient rome but still
its the best graphics demo there ever was but at the end of the day it was still a graphics demo
aping gladiator was kino though
>I want sequel to a tech demo

Newhomosexual
you can't answer the question?
Underage posters don't deserve anything but shitposts.
I'm 32 and I have been here since 2006 ish, I don't typically browse Ganker does everyone here have anger issues or something?
No thanks. One of the most degenerate games ever made.
>degenerate
that word obviously doesn’t mean what you thinl it does
That's cute
Came here to post this. Play this game now if you haven't.
Trueeee. Loved this game when it came out. However if they made a Sequel they’d probably try to make it a Souls-Like.
The only thing Ryse had going for it was looking good. The gameplay/combat was very underwhelming. If you mean something with a better fleshed out combat system then there would be an interesting sequel idea. Using something similar to For Honor's take on combat maybe.

have a nice day

This game was worse and more of a shitty movie than The Order 1886
No better feeling than hearing my co op partner go, "shit this guy's good" when I racked up a 300× combo in the arena. It's basically just a rhythm game but people really didn't understand it.
It was not good at all. I can't even fathom what would compel you to say that or make this thread.
I liked it. There can never be too many games taking place in the Ancient Era
it alright.
But Marius died
they need to fix their history if they do anything else with this crap

You want ANOTHER shitty game? There's a literal ocean of those already.
generic 7th gen dudebro-core forgotten a month after release

It was cringe as frick for Cevat to his own face for protagonist.
SOMEONE MAKE A SEQUEL TO 'Colisseum: Road to Freedom' NOW
I'd rather have a proper Shadow of Rome remake or some shit like that.
Better than fromslopware. No copy pasted encounters, no empty open world.
I've completed the campaign 3 times. Maybe 4th time during xmas
