All 6 of the main characters are paired off with each other and you get some unique changes in your playthrough if you have those specific pairings.
I ran all 3 pairs to the end as soon as the remake came out. the Hawk + Riesz and Kevin + Charlotte shipping stuff is either extremely subtle or nonexistent.
hell, the only good Hawk + Riesz scenes only happen if you have one of them in your party, but not both (the scenes happen when you are liberating Laurent).

Trials was one of those rare miracles just like the Live A Live remake. Otherwise just expect quick cashgrabs like the Legend of Mana and Chrono Cross "remasters".

I actually just made it to the special ending part in Trials of Mana Remake. I wanted to redo my level 4 classes and I can't for the life of me find anymore ??? seeds to change classes. Any tips?
it sucks, but you have to google where her seeds are and just keep grinding until you find them, the remake fixes A LOT of problems with the original game (shields not working being one) but seed grinding is sadly not one of them
You can farm them from those queenbee enemies in the forest were you fight the pumpkim.
I saw some people saying you couldn't find the seeds after you hit past lvl 38. I'm gonna try the queenbee grind.
I put on More Encounters ability and went to the moon tower floor 2 to farm the two packs of wolf pairs back to back to get my seeds.

I keep seeing this talk of sabers where you can have elemental attacks. I've only used Kevin and I have not seen any saber abilites?
kevin only learns sabers in his light/light and light/dark classes I think
duran gets a spread of them in most of his classes and I think charlotte gets them as well

I'm so glad the Trials remake wasn't fricked up and also really happy Angela finally got the attention she deserved. Always preferred her since I first played the SD3 rom translated back in 2001.

They're less distracting to me than black borders. The art blends in for me, but if I notice the black border it takes a while to unfocus on them

Game was great and vastly surpass the original too.
It has that perfect oldschool feel of "pick, play, run through scenarios killing everything and cool bosses" with a lot of replay value.
The game stopping every time a spell is cast is what kills the replay value of the original.

Yeah it was good but this isn't true at all.
SD3 has 100x more soul and atmosphere, everything looks so much better, and the game isn't quite as easy. Trials is good, but it is substantially easier and the art style change makes things look less great than they used to, it's cheap 3d modelling and you can tell
Graphics are the only thing the original has over it though.
The original isn't really hard either
It will fail, because gatcha, and then the geniuses at Square will go “lol guess nobody wants mana anymore” and they’ll shelve it.
