I wouldn't mind playing my old worlds again but I haven't been able to log in since Microshaft shitted everything up.
All of my old worlds are lost to time. Nothing more than distant memories scattered in segments throughout my brain. They're like old, locked away dreams. Something can just trigger you to remember them randomly one day. I miss them. Or do I just miss the old times?

I have some screenshots of my really old worlds. Like from when Minecraft first started circulating on Ganker. My other saves from just a few years ago are still there I just can't fricking log in.
That's nice. It must have been cool to watch the game grow from its roots as an adult (I'm assuming, since you mentioned Ganker). I wish I had something saved from back then, but I was 9 years old and didn't give a second thought about the future. I still have my old shitty Samsung tablet, I might have to see if I can restore some data from it. I still remember some of my old words vividly and some specific memories surrounding them. I remember getting the Java Edition a year later at the same time as my friend and making a lot of friends on the Mineplex server and keeping in touch via Skype. I wonder how they are doing now, or if they ever think about me.
It was fun experiencing the game for the first time with other anons. We were blown away by how autistic the crafting system was to us at the time and this was before there was much info about it online so we just spent hours trying different combinations looking for new recipes.

I didn't just play the console edition, but also Pocket Edition, and later the Java Edition. I played PE way back when it was a tech demo. 0.2.1 I started with, I think, so 2012. God, that title screen hurts to look at. So many memories.

I remember playing before furnaces were added to PE. Their temporary solution: giving you infinite bricks, glass blocks, and shears in survival mode.
I mean the first 360 versions were without hunger bar and sprint. I think 360 version didn't get those until november or december of 2012. So a year after the PC version.
But the game is pointless without the survival aspect. No one fricking cares what you make out of cubes for reddit karma

I was in my late 20's when Minecraft was first gaining popularity (this was before multiplayer, so most of us just played single-player survival mode). I thought that the world was getting worse, but then A.I. came around and ushered in a near era of coom, and then I realized that I live in a golden age.
How funny it is that the first version I ever played, b1.7.3, was right before everything started going downhill.

I had to stop playing when that happened. It was such a blatantly anti consumer move that I just accepted that it was over. Even their little guide about how to do it was a slap in the face because they basically said, "yep, it's complicated, good luck homosexuals". That combined with the fricking BLM and trans rights splash screen was the last straw.
