A schematic is an image that represents every component of a device, and how the connect with each other, in order to describe how the mechanism work.
A diagram can just be a scribble that illustrates the idea of "kobold bow machine shoots lots of small arrows".

Why did you take the time to draw the object and illustrate how it's supposed to function if you were going to get mad when people told you that you didn't illustrate how it's supposed to function correctly? there’s nowhere to mount a crank and it’s not a part of the mechanism like it is on a ballista
an integrated crank would also prevent it from being used like a mortar due to length and the thing already being bigger than a kobold
a ballista string doesn’t lie flat not launch multiple projectiles and so needs no solution to drawing it evenly, mechanism to lock the string nor solution to even release in order to actually launch the projectiles out of the box
not to speak of the complete and utter lack of any release mechanism on the thing, it’s literally just a box with a lath
a ballista doesn’t even function like a crossbow, it uses a torsion spring

a bow couldnt work like that. the energy from the entire bowstring is transfered from the bending bow, straight into the tiny tip that knocks the arrow to the string. its also what keeps it flying straight.
a chinese repeating crossbow would be more sensible and exciting.
so how does a kobold draw the thing? how is the string drawn flat at the end? how does the nut catch the string? where is the release?
