Yes. JP came out in Feb of 2021, Global came out in Nov of the same year. JP is their primary market so I can see why they did that. Global has shrunken the gap from 8 months to around 6 now.

I went into global blind. Took me until the second Izuna banner - not even swimsuit - to figure out that you should save up for a spark. Because I didn't and just wasted a bunch of pyros and didn't get anything out of it. Also just found out during the Mika banner that I should just save up character elephs and pray for a spook instead of redeeming. Got spooked by Hina twice right after redeeming.

If you want, but unlike genshin they take much less time, like a minute or two, and don't contribute to half of your gem income. Your progression will slow down a bit if you don't though since they reward AP which you need to level your account.

BA's story gets better and better the further you get into it accumulating in vol F which is legit some of the best story stuff I've seen in any gacha ever.

I'm not overrating it at all. Vol F shits on pretty much any gacha story. Mostly due to how it's elevated by everything surrounding it like the event fights and the build up. If you disagree you simply never cared about the characters in the first place in which case that's your fault. BA's story is one of the best of any gacha because it knows what's important about a gacha, the characters. No gacha is as good at utilising it's characters in it's story as BA is.

You can watch the whole story on Youtube but it doesn't really work that way since it relies heavily on you being attached to the characters through time playing and all the events with them to further characterise them.
