I wish there was an easy mode in FromSoft games.

I wish there was an easy mode in FromSoft games. The aesthetics and lore are so interesting but I get always filtered by the difficulty.

      There is, it's called summoning.

Even putting aside the easy mode the games give you (summoning, overleveling, etc), there are like a million easy mode mods on the nexus go download one.

      I play offline.

Then you can use the easy mode mod.

You can still summon npcs and spirits

Over level, then. Use guides, cheese the game. There's tons of stuff out there if you want to make it easy as frick.

You're playing it wrong. A Dark Souls game with no threat of invasions is already easy mode, and you have the nerve to ask for more breaks.

But they already removed the solo invasion feature, its to fun fighting a invader with 3 teammate and u have to use coop item first to enable invasion instead of embers
I really wish from fix pvp in dlc

        Anonymous

Why? You can't even get randomly invaded in ER.

what filters me is not the "difficulty" but having to learn AND memorize attack patterns and animations for every mob
my brain feels like i'm wasting my life doing that
for some reason I don't feel the same when learning "move out of the red circle" mechanics because you just learn like 10~15 patterns for life and that's it

er specifically plays drastically different from other souls titles. overpowered weapon skills and pokemon-esque summons means any moron can beat it.
      it goes from
      >having to learn AND memorize attack patterns and animations for every mob
      to winning a dps race.

But all of them have easy mode. It's called INT.

ironically int sucks compared to aows. specially in ng7.

        > any moron can beat it
but then I feel like a.. moron, just like when I beat dragons dogma by using the sorcerer cheese, I think "you didn't beat the game" posters won
        you're right tho

          >I want to have my cake and eat it too
I mean there are enough ashes of war and spirit ashes that you can fine tune the difficulty. you don't have to go for the blasphemous mimic combo straight away.

Playing through again after not playing for years. I like that there's a lot to find but I also dislike there's so much. Even though Dark Souls had a lot of trash items to pick up I wasn't filling my inventory with flowers and animal bones. I feel like I would enjoy it more if the world space was shrunk just a little bit. I don't know I feel like if I encounter a group of enemies in Dark Souls I want to fight them to see if there's an item. In Elden Ring I just run past everything on a horse and backtrack to explore. Where as with Dark Souls I explored each area as I went. Because it's so big it's hard to keep track of where I've been.

you're not supposed to play er like that but having played most other souls titles I know how you feel.

Souls games aren't that harsh. It's not like this is some bullet hell game where getting hit kills you or deals 9999 damage and the "pattern" you have to dodge looks like some completely incomprehensible spam that's pretty much impossible to deal with intuitively and requires extreme trial and error to figure out. In Souls games you can usually see the windup or just a few projectiles coming for you, they usually leave you enough time to hit the dodge button which not only moves you out of the way but makes you invulnerable. Sure there are attacks which spam you and may catch you a few times, but you can figure those out in a few attempts and like I said, the games aren't so harsh that you cannot take some hits and still win the fight.

Dude there's unironically a NUMBER of ways to make Elden Ring easy.
Look for a few things on Youtube. Overpowered Apirit Summons, weapons...
Or simply make a healer or something and go full co-op and let overpowered nerds help you.

The easy mode is actually making a good build. These are RPGs (at least as far as the combat goes, not so much otherwise), making a good character matters.

Demons Souls is pretty easy solo. The level design is pretty straightforward.
