I wish they still made good Star Trek
Star Trek ended with Enterprise.
Nice nostalgia goggles, anon.
It sucked, and no amount of Blalock parading around can compensate.
It's not good, but it at least was a proper Trek "exploring new worlds and civilization" which we haven't gotten since
I disagree, I think some of the non arc episodes are up there w some of the best of voyager, tng, and tos. Even w some super fan service like the borg episode actually is works extremely well. Im not a big fan of time travel so that was a slog, but I did enjoy it because it felt like trek. Just a personal opinion also everyone here would probably take Enterprise debuting now over anything Kurtzman has put out.
I liked Enterprise tbh, Archer was terrible captain though, at least before NuTrek|Kurtzman experience showed there was worse. Only thing people remember about Voyager is Jeri in skintight "clothing" and... Lizards.
Cardassia
meant for
It was good. Suffered a bit as a product of it's time, and got off to a rocky start, same as all trek.
Couldn't give a shit less about modern trek shows tho
Not possible. The time in which Star Trek was relevant and boundary pushing is long past. Just let it rest in peace, franchises shouldn't last forever

I don’t think it would be hard to do. You just need good writers who can work with and understand the possibilities (and confines) of Trek, and passionate developers who are interested in adapting gameplay and designs to the material. Lots of Trek games have had one but not the other. Some lack both. I think 25th, Judgment Rites, and A Final Unity demonstrate what’s possible best of all. Maybe Elite Force, too, as an example of adapting Trek to a genre.
I agree with the sentiment, but it’s really hard for anything new to gain traction in our fragmented and overstimulated culture. Even Trek wasn’t very popular for its era and only gained a following through colorized reruns over a decade. Hollywood and streaming services are bleeding money, so they’ll probably be tightening their standards and/or leaning into what they think already works. The independent route is more open than ever but suffers from the same issues (lack of standards, few resources to command attention and build awareness). Happy to be wrong about all this, though.
Leave Jolene alone.
Soul.
No, its says Sol.
I do too, anon! I loved the old Star Trek games.
I walked right into that one.
The game boy had a decent Trek game granted I was a kid back then so might be goggles talking. Star Wars has a mixture of kino like Rogue Squadron and the Dash Rendar charecter, to complete dumpster fires like the PS1 """Fighting game""" and also the platformer where you control Obi-wan, there is no inbetween.
Well... someone made this: https://emabolo.itch.io/super-star-trek-25th
Even if it's just two old star trek games mashed together.
Which do you pick?
Shit I better get into this game. That one screen has me super intrigued.
Is it a good one? I don't know much about Trek games but I love the shows.
star trek armada 1 and 2. nuff said. bonus points for elite force 1.
You can blame Activision and some other companies for ruining star trek games. https://forum.quartertothree.com/t/activision-vs-taldren-shots-fired/2354
All 3 of those are top tier. I enjoyed them and have my cds somewhere. I also liked Bridge Commander and the Starfleet Command series (except 3).
Isn't it just reskinned MoO? Not that that's a bad thing of course!
>2023
>STILL no Star Trek RPG where you join the crew of a starship as a lowly ensign
Most Trek games I've seen also tend to focus on things like space combat which I'm not interested in at all. I want to solve engineering puzzles and explore strange planets.
>you will never see the based season 5 of Enterprise they had planned
>first Starbase episode
>more mirror universe episodes
>a Borg time travel episode
>commander shran was becoming part of the main cast
>build up to the romulan war
>TOS cast guest starring
I wish they still made good Trek shows.
The kid show they cancelled was TNG average.
I like lower decks
Oh, look the chud showed up.
The more I learn about space and physics the more I fear we'll never get to explore any of it. The fact that we can detect the background radiation of the beginning of the universe, but no matter where we look we see no evidence or signs of any space faring civilization or infrastructure at all makes me think there just straight up isn't any. If there is other intelligent life out there, I'm afraid we're all stuck on our own little boats drifting in a sea of nothing
We need FTL travel to make any sort of significant progress and it doesn't seem like any other life out there has ever figured it out
Doomer attitude.
>RPG where you join the crew of a starship as a lowly ensign
This. I think you’d have to have some kind of space combat, since that is a part of Trek, too, but this sounds awesome. Write it and sell it to a developer.
