I would like to have a discussion about new (within 6 months) controllers.
Currently angling for the Flydigi Vader 3, but still not in stock on Amazon. Any other ones I missed that are truly notable?

No shit anon, threads on this board archive in ~30 minutes
But why would you buy these random ass controllers instead of just a normal name brand console controller?
Normal brand controllers are dogshit anon. Only maybe playstation and nintendo have okay controllers and even then they suck.
I dunno anon the only off brand controllers I've had were noticeably shittier than the normal nintendo/xbox controllers
Just get like a pro controller or something and you're good, if price is an issue then get it second hand
If you don't know why are you posting your useless opinions and experiences?
It's an expression anon
The rest of your post shows you really know nothing about the current state of third party controllers. Discontinue posting.
>I dunno anon the only off brand controllers I've had were noticeably shittier than the normal nintendo/xbox controllers
that wasn't 2023, though. look what I wrote in the OP. times change
>2011
>This charger..Anker? Is it safe to plug my phone into this?
>2016
>Oh good you have an Anker charger, these are fast
meh never had problems with brand controllers. not really with 3rd party stuff either except those have usually looked and felt like shit, but that's to be expected since it's significantly cheaper option. but this shit? 40-140 bucks for some mad katz looking motherfrickers? no way gay
Why buy a Mad Catz controller? It's more expensive and shittier than the official.
>Good Morning Gamesir
Is this thread a joke? Are you trolling?
I'm getting the Gulikit King Kong 2 Pro. I've never heard of those other controllers. what do you think of them?
Oh no, I forgot the Nexigo.
>open your eyes
>I see
>your eyes are open
Idk I don't play video games
OP here, based
>when you can get ps or xbox controller (if you don't care for gyro) for same price of lower?
What's the benefit or buying these weird ass chink controllers when you can get ps or xbox controller (if you don't care for gyro) for same price of lower?
I'd get it if were like 10-15 bucks but you can get real controller for 40 on sale
Woops I auto posted
the point is 20+ years of controller quality slide from MS and Sony. In particular, the Xbox Series controller has a flaw with the buttons that no other controller has ever had, caused by them changing an age-old design for no reason whatsoever, and they won't acknowledge or fix this flaw. It can cause buttons on the Xbox series controller (including the elite) to double-press even when you carefully strike them. This affects the A button worst because of its position/shape. Sony controllers just not in the discussion to me, ergonomic horrorshow and poor industrial design throughout (sitting the controller down can trigger the L2/R2 for like 4 generations now-- why?)
You say "real controller" but I am a controller aficionado and expert and I have used controllers since Atari 2600 and Commodore 64.
In well-developed retail spaces, third party components start to surpass first party components. And in just the past year, that is what you are witnessing start to happen here.
little man youre like 50 years old wtf are you still doing on this website
I'm a man! I'm forty!
in my opinion it's sort of a meme because it stops conventional drift but adds more components that can go bad, which always fails more
Based oldgay. I'm 34 and have been browsing here since near the beginning of this board
you can never leave
calling these controllers "madcatz" just doesnt work, it shows you never used a "madcatz" controller
when madcatz was madcatz you'd buy an N64 controller from them and the fricking buttons would stand like half an inch out of the top of the controller. You'd have to press those motherfrickers straight down or they would jam and start sending turbo inputs or a little tab inside would break off and that button would never work again
these are controllers with features *above* those of the sony and MS products, and sony and MS products are failing on people and feel cheap these days
yes, but the stickboxes you're replacing with hall effect sensors have physical potentiometers that are guaranteed to degrade, as opposed to hall effect shit that will be 100% consistent as long as it doesn't break, so there's still a tradeoff there.
Right, I think it'll heavily depend on
1. Investment/build quality by manufacturer
2. Luck
This thread is about newly released/releasing controllers.
8bitdo is a brand with bad quality control that was viraled here, and I will not talk about them.
Why should it matter if a controller is newly released or releasing? If anything, it's better to stick to something that has been on the market for a while so you can read reviews of people that have actually used the controllers.
And to be quite honest, all these chinkshit manufacturers have bad quality control. Even first party controllers have pretty bad QC and will fail relatively quickly.
>Why should it matter if a controller is newly released or releasing?
Because that's the point of the thread and the conversation I wanted to start. These newly released controllers have strong feature sets so if people start buying them we'll be able to exchange experiences.
I'm gonna buy a Vader 3 and if it sucks I'll send it back. And I'll relay that experience in the relevant thread.
We're not trying to read reviews. We're trying to write reviews. Older people actively used the internet.
ALL of the controllers in OP are chinkshit with awful quality.
>8bitdo is a brand with bad quality control that was viraled here, and I will not talk about them.
I've seen more posts here about your FlyNiggi in the past month than anything else.
thats because i made like 7 threads about it
Don't forget you're here forever
>Mechanical buttons
You mean slider over membrane or an actual microswitch ?
Many third party controllers are equal if not better than 1st party. Not to mention the current gen controllers are complete dogshit for what you pay for. I won't detail why; this is a thread for the enlightened. Do your own research
if it says mechanical they're actual switches
Thank you. I had chinks market sliders as mechanical (which is technically true) so I wanted to make sure.
verify everything in my infographic before buying but i more or less triple-checked the information because sometimes it's incomplete anyway so i had to look hard
I think there are some other new controllers like this too, but I just don't know what they are. I would add more
I tried to stick to brands here that have had at least 1 generation of successful controllers. There's no point in listing $19.99 "JEYUMASTER" controllers
I've pretty much decided to use Xbox One Controllers for the rest of my life, so I don't think I would try out some weird chinese shit
Why Xbox One controllers?
I've had mine for six years. It never had any problems, it has no signs of wear, it feels good in my hands even after playing for hours, the battery lasts a whole day and its easy to clean. It just works
Get xbox elite core controller if you really want back buttons, or a regular xbox “series” controller if it’s not super important. Guaranteed to work and is uncompromsied unlike the 3rd party chinkshit malware you have to download
Is there a PS5 controller with asymetric joysticks? Only ones I've seen are +200$ or for PS4.
Good morning game sir at the top of the list LMAO
It is what it is: a solid controller for a cheap price. Laugh all you want but that thing is roughly on par with a basic new Xbox controller.
> Reeee, do not redeem!
Go away b***h bastad
Does it come with bobs and vagene
OH ALSO OP HERE!!!!!!
With the Flydigi Direwolf they have the product pages fricked up, it looks like there's both a wireless and wired version, I can't be assed to confirm this, it doesn't make sense but I'm just going with what scant data I have right now. Obviously you can plug anything in but I know some people like hard-wired. I thought they might have a hard-wired version, there seem to be 2 SKUs
i'm just borrowing DualShock 4s from a femboy i know. they work great on PC
OP here that's the only controller all time that just hurts my hands to use, it's like a toblerone. I hate it so much. Plus the stupid fricking triggers that get pushed when you sit it down flat, it vibrates itself off teh table like all PS controllers always do, and the fricking light on the top, good lord.
I have a death stranding one I love it
some games make excellent use of the light 🙂
Is hall effect a meme or not? Planning on getting the gamesir one since gamesir T4 was pretty good until it started fricking drifting too and this piece of shit is nigh impossible to open and clean it up
It's not. The drift thing is actually more of a side benefit. The real win is the incredible accuracy. My Gulikit made me finally give up on my stash of wired 360s. This was 8 months ago. Now there is no going back.
king kong 2 pro made me beat all my times on v-rally 4 by a significant amount. it made rally crosses actually tolerable.
Any reason you aren't looking at the Gulikit KingKong 2 Pro or an 8bitdo Ultimate controller?
do any of these have hall effect sticks?
>american reading comprehension
the table is poorly made. top row should be most bolded and it should all be dark mode because it's being viewed in an additive color space lil pissbaby ok lady i luv u buh bye
use an old first party controller, with an adapter if you have to
I wanna try mechanical buttons and stuff though. Plus, I just enjoy controllers. I'm looking at several modified xbox controllers right now. I'll still keep 2 xbox one controllers as backups
>good morning gamesirs
What's the best pad for fighting games?
A keyboard.
PS4, it's what you see the most at the high level at least.
There's also stuff like HORI Fighting Commander if you're into Sega Saturn dpads.
Alright, thanks bros
It will cost half that on their official aliexpress store. Weirds me out how people still shill Amazon when most of the stuff there is the exact same shit, but with Bezos tax.
> No Gulikit King Kong 2 Pro
Are you even trying?
Inferior to most of those shown
I cannot comment on the Zeus, but given I've tested it next to two of those Flydigis you're quite wrong. Needless to say I think you will find the sticks in the Vader 3 coming out are manufactured by them. Also:
> Gamesir
> Better than Gulikit
Again I am familiar with it, described it as good value earlier of I remember right, but you are completely, utterly and unabashedly full of shit. Which sadly completely undermines the idea of a list of the current crop of worthwhile Chink controllers. Do better.
the kaleid is a new controller and appears to be higher quality
the point of the thread is to discuss, buy some of these, figure out which are good
it might be a new target $40 controller for people who like wired.
>buying knockoff controllers
I bet you were the poor fricks with MadCatz garbo as kids
I had a 3d0 actually.
why doesn't the good morning gamesir have a wagon wheel on the home button?
bigbig won is the only good controller manufacturer
The only third party brand worth getting is Hori.
If I were to effectively waste $150 on genshin impact due to faulty controller design, would I have any recourse?
ive spent like 300 on genshin impact voluntarily so its not like it really matters
