Doesn't matter to financially struggling chinker dinker companies that can't compete with it or the Ally, or seething Nintendo fanboys begging for a decade for something better than a 2018 iPhone. If it doesn't sell better than x product its a failure to them.
>In November 2023, Valve Product Designer Lawrence Yang told Bloomberg that the Steam Deck 2 will feature a "next-generation" power upgrade but won't be available for two or three years. Yang also told Axios, "In the next two or three years, we're confident that something will be what we would consider appropriate for a proper Steam Deck 2 device."
Shitpost OP but if you have to know, it's because they are literally repurposing components from the bulk of chips they had to order from the AMD partnership.

hmm ok so i just finished reading the thread and it sounds like the deck didn't do very well huh? maybe next time it won't be as 'shitted' and 'flopped' as you are all saying
Not while they still have so many quality control issues with the controller parts, namely the trackpads right now. It'd be abysmal with a decently priced steam controller 2 because they'd scale quality control back further to compensate.
>From a Chinese forum and a coded post at that so it's not easy to find and understand but reportedly it will have an actual manufactured display as the sales were good. it's a horizontal OLED screen at 900p/90hz. >Another custom APU from AMD, 6 core with 16 compute units on the GPU (RDNA4 maybe?). Zen 4 platform. 8533mhz RAM speeds and it'll be released around Q3-Q4 2026. Obviously the price is increasing to match, might target the 600 range as the most expensive deck was surprisingly popular. >https://www.chiphell.com/thread-2576709-1-2.html
Hope it's fake. Even the OLED Deck was kind of a hard sell for me at 550. A 6 core cpu is a good call but idk why it would be zen 4 when they could easily just wait for zen 5.
>page 11

Repurposing chips? They'd need brand new chips based on zen 5/6 architecture and rdna 4. What the frick are you talking about?
they literally just shrunk the die size and rearranged the mobo, the base components are the same

Frick off racist
I just want a deck controller now. This thing kicks the shit out of every other offering and it's a downgrade when I dock.
