Why the frick would you play only one megaman game??
Anyways, my first thought was to recommend you 6, it looks and sounds great, has a few fun weapons, stage gimmicks, the secondary forms etc. It's very polished and since it's one of, if not the easiest megaman game, you'll definitely be able to clear it. 4 and 7 are also really cool.
7's not very good if you're familiar with the first 6 entries in the series. It has some cool shit in it, but you really start feeling how cramped the game is the more you play.
Good entry points: MM2, MM3 (the improvement hack fleshes out the story in-game if you care about that), MM5, MM9, MM4GB
Easiest overall starter choice: MM5. Hands out 1ups like candy. Alternatively using the password Red A-6 in MM3 lets you start the game with 9 energy tanks (full heals)
Best weapon selection: MM9, not up for debate.
For me it's the fact that he takes up approximately twice as much space as he did in the NES games. It looks pretty, but it makes everything feel really, really cramped, especially since they have a lot of really small rooms in the game for some reason. They'd work well with MM's original proportions, but not with the ones in MM7.
1 sucks
2 is great but there is some bullshit
3 is pretty good but overstays its welcome somewhat iirc
4 was very mid
5 is underrated and worth playing
6 idk i think its okay but not really remarkable just good
7 i hated and it has a bullshit final boss
8 is sovlful and people got filtered by simple shit its peak capcom 90s kino
9 is my favorite and is really good but there are lots of bullshit gotcha moments not for everyone
10 i played once and hated felt there was too much emphasis on combat instead of inventive platforming like in 9
11 i never played
I don't know, who are you?
2
>b-b-b-but it's overrated!!!!!
2
So, none of the future ones are better?
3 is good, 4 is okay, 5 and 6 are good, 1 is okay
but 2 is the best
1's bad but in a way that's acceptable since it was the first game. A lot of the rough edges got buffed out immediately in the 2nd title.
>>b-b-b-but it's overrated!!!!!
2 is universally loved, stop making up scenarios, literally nobody says this
4, 7 or 9
Megaman 8 because DOCKTAH WAAWEE HAF DA EVIL ENEEGEE
4,7, and 11 for new moveset, 1,3, and 10 for old moveset
9
or 7
or 4
3 or 6
>b-b-but 6 is too easy...
It's easy, but it also has the best polish among the first 6 games. It's a nice icebreaker title.
What I will say, do NOT play 1, 7, or 8. Terrible games, the lot of them.
1.
Frick what all the others say.
If you don't play 1 you won't ever know SHIT about Megaman.
3 or 9
2, 3, 7, or & Bass
3. It's the longest and best balanced in the series.
it's best to play it after 2 so you go WOAH
Yeah that's fair. You do need to play 2 to fully appreciate it.
You have a point
>gifs you can hear
3 is better if you played 2, yeah. It's a better game overall thoughbeit

This fan demake of MM7 is pretty awesome though.
>Bugged slide that literally ruins the game feel if you not patch it
>It's very polished
9 or 11
The correct answer is The Misadventures of Tron Bonne
8, JP Saturn.

rockman 4 minus infinity
MM2 or MM9
Street Fighter x Mega Man
my only problem with 7/8 is that Megaman is no longer a 32x32 sprite and instead a weird rectangle that feels awkward to control.

It collapses because robot killers and difficulty curve
>5 is underrated and worth playing
Too easy due damage output. 4 and 6 were more solid in comparison
