If Microsoft completes the acquisition, all call of duties with their DLCs will be free on gamepass, making their platform the best place to play them. Nowadays, you can find lobbies of old battlefield games, even Bad Company 2, populated simply because it's free on Game Pass.

If they manage to complete this acquisition, they win. The end.

you forgot the fact that none of the battlefield games come with the dlc, making them absolutely worthless on game pass

That's because they're no on EA Play, and that's no the point you midwit frick.

All the season pass DLC for BF4, Hardline and BF1 is free on EA Play and gets automatically downloaded with the game. They moved on to maps and classes being free for BF V onwards. Battlefield 4 still has a surprisingly populated player pool on Xbox for being a near 10 year old game.

Base games will be on gamepass, DLC normally gets a discount ( 10 or 20% ), still a good deal.

When a game goes on gamepass by microsoft's acquisition, it usually comes with the DLC included. Only third parties require you to buy the DLC.

Weird, Hi Fi rush DLC wasn't free unless only applies to real content, and tbh i haven't check Fallout DLC

Every content update is free for Hifi Rush except the deluxe edition (literally a shirt and a small amount of gears you can get in the game easily) and the first cosmetics dlc (the second one is a Game Pass perk in this month).

Every single player are boycotting that shit now, activision wanted to support pedophiles and are suffering a heavy boycott for it, i tried to play warzone yesterday and it took 5-7 minutes to find a game, i uninstalled it cuz i needed to download mass effect legendary edition from goypass.

but honestly? the purchase of activision passed in every single country in the planet, so it's too late to back up from that now lol.

Didn't the FTC block the merger deal? I heard because of that, they're going to abandon the purchase.

yep, already blocked, MS even wrote on twitter that notice.

FTC thought Europe would block it for sure and theyd have time to figure out their stance, but they said "sure" and the uk said "nope".
and when Microsoft was ready to just withdraw Activision from the UK and force the deal through FTC got off its ass and said "wait a minute frickers"

They got a temporary restraining order to delay MS for a week until they get in front of a judge for a more binding decision. The rumour is that MS was planning to close over the CMA's block and deal with the fallout later after the cat appeal; whether that be just a fine if they win the CAT (minor) or reversal of the acquisition if they lose (no worse off than now except out some money)

        Anonymous

The rumor regarding the CMA and CAT was more that apparently the CMA got really spooked how bad their case was that the judge actively pointed out a lot of flaws and didn't seem impressed in the initial hearing. While there's also political pressure on the CMA with the UK government looking to "Steer" the CMA and the UK's Chancellor meeting with the president of Microsoft and the CMA to try find a compromise on the deal (It's been reported the UK government is very unhappy with the CMA, especially after Europe passed it and might curtail its powers). So apparently the reason the FTC acted now was there was talk that the CMA may actually come a settlement where they take the European concessions and let the deal through. And that pushed the FTC over into wanting an injunction now instead of letting it go to an internal court because there's a good chance the UK could end up letting the deal through via a settlement if court looks bad for the CMA (And if they were handed a defeat there. The government would absolutely gut them power wise because the UK Government saw it as totally humiliating that they blocked and Europe passed)

They will this time. Specially with such a powerful card at hand.

What makes you think they'd refuse having all of call of duty in their platform?
Do you think they'd REALLY hesitate on such a "flip the switch to win"? Do you really think they'd not make an exception to this case?

Do you use your brain at all friend? Or are you just taking a break?

I hate Sony so anything that fricks them over is good but you need to be mentally ill like snoytroony if you think COD wont be on every device possible.

MS might be leaving the console scene altogether and turn into a gaming streaming service.

to the very contrary, they had plans since the beginning of Xbox to make it the "Everything (X) box"

you people are just behind the curve, as always. And they will make all old CODs alive and breathing on the platform, pretty much squashing sales of every other platform.

And regulators are just putting on the show...

sony isn't fighting tooth and nail for no reason kids
they know this is purchase is an existential threat not just for playstation

but most of you are clueless to the origins, methods and power of a company that is a government branch of a country that owns the reserve currency
you thought any other company stood a chance, lol

The way you over estimate Microsoft competence is hilarious.
They have talked time and again that they want out the console market and have Gamepass on every device, this is why they are playing ball with Nintendo and current plans for Acti / Blizz is to have COD playable on Sony's devices.

Essentially they want to become Netflix but for games which is worse.

Snoys are the only ones overly exaggerating this for some reason, Sony is garbage and frick them for that they did to Big Japan and all their other developers.

it's even more hilarious when you frickers thought Xbox was losing.
A company with the backing of a country capable of weathering out a nuclear war, economically, was the "underdog" of the console wars.

Fricking lmaoing at you midwits. Not that your hobby is worth jack anyway, but they all put up some fake resistance to make it look like the game is not "rigged"

I kept saying the reason MS never crancked it up to 11 was because having Nintendo and Sony as their only competition was good for them. None of these two are Amazon or Apple. Sony should just let themselves be bought by Amazon at this point.

        Anonymous

MS was always just pretending to be the underdog. Sony, Nintendo, they're both Japanese companies...and Japan, in order to print yen, has to obtain dollars.
Dollars that microsoft can obtain at will, being so critically intertwined with the infrastructure of the very country that issues said currency.
Sony and Nintendo always knew of this disadvantage but they let the game go on until the "jig" was up.

Notice how regulators put on a show only to bend the knee. All will converge on the Everything box... and you will bow to it, assuming you're alive by the time it happens, lol.

I don't think you understand just how big Sony is as a company anon. Sony can lose the next 5 console generations and still be in the top 30 juggernaut companies. Go be moronic somewhere else.

They are Japanese based companies...limited to the reach Japan has and the power of its mainbase currency.
It's why they can raise cash to buy bungie...but not anything bigger than that lol.

Do you know how much cash Microsoft can raise for any goal?
Let me give you a hint, Department of Defense and big Sam. Lol

That you morons think these two companies are remotely similar...

it's in M$'s best interests to sort of "fud" themselves and make them look like the underdog.
They will swallow the whole industry whole. And we are all just waiting for it.
