If online battling, shiny hunting, and raids aren't your thing, what's some postgame stuff that you think would be a good addition to the games? A lot of people are still upset at the post game content.

I just play showdown, regular games are too slow.
Going on dates with the major NPCs

What post game content?
badges but way more autistic. maybe like the medal thing they tried in bw2.
just...lore. idk maybe its just me but i would love to just sit and read dialog or do more with the professors.
with the move to more open world and some of the stuff with Perrin, maybe they could mesh pokemon snap into it?
it'll take 50 years but I cant wait to just watch pokemon exist.
sounds lame af i know i know make fun of me anons.
I just want modern battle frontier, battling is the best aspect of the games, I want more battling dammit.
The sad part is, I think Khu (Arceus forgive me for mentioning him) suggested that there isn't going to be a battle fac either in the second dlc. The second DLC is pretty much worthless if true.
Ffs this it’s been over a decade and they haven’t brought it back yet.
I literally just want the gen 2-7 style battle tower back. I don’t give a frick about the other stuff.
>catch them all on a single cartridge
>more cool dungeons with more rare pokemon that reward rexploring later on (i.e Meteor Falls, etc)
>more character stuff (small questlines with characters we know like Lorelei in the Sevii Islands or the characters coming to Alola to visit the new league, etc)
>Some kind of Battle Frontier
>Gen3 contests comeback
Honestly the biggest for me is just more in-game questline stuff that doesn't require Mystery Gift or all mons on one cart.
Haven't tried gens 8-9 yet, so I might like raids and not know it yet, buuuuut
I honestly just don't need postgame content. Pokémon has a frickton of replay value. I'd rather just have a built-in Box/Bank/Home/Whatever so I can store my hall-of-famers and start again with a new team.
The most I would want is basically what most of the games already have. A few extra routes and quests and trainers, followed by rematches with the Elite Four.
>A few extra routes and quests and trainers, followed by rematches with the Elite Four.
SV has all of that with the DLC.
Playing something else
This doesn't really apply to SV, but what I enjoy most is extra routes. Just more far-fetched places to slowly explore and fight trainers/wild Pokemon that are meant to fight against an endgame team. Maybe even a legendary fight at the end.
Think Stark Mountain, the ones in BW2, etc.
Some islands should become available with self contained sidequests and some sort of infinitely replayable content like minigames or weekly in-game events. Basically it should be where the game focuses on light life sim aspects and world building since you've done everything else.
I also think that secret bases should return as it would give players more reason to explore the open world
Dream World functionality in game, no web browser.
You could have a bunch of simple minigames and activities to earn BP, help water berries or help hatch eggs.
Anything that breaks the monotony of an unchanging postgame.
Offline battling. Every time they make creating a Pokemon easier, they cut features related to postgame battle facilities.
>XY lets you reliably pass on IVs from parents and EV train against 5 Pokemon at a time
>removes frontier/PWT, only thing left in both gen 6 games is a battle tower
>scarlet/violet allow you to just buy bottlecaps and ability capsules with cash, bottlecaps can now be used at level 50
>doesn't even have a battle tower
The game just needs a battle factory again. Battling is the most fun thing in Pokémon, there's no need to reinvent the wheel
I just want a higher level E4 + Champ rematch system like the old games. Specifically Paldea should have a tournament for Champion rank trainers to decide the #1 rank currently held by Geeta. There's no way to dethrone her currently and I don't think the DLC is going to rectify that.
I consider that "the way home" is a good post-game but in terms of replayability the academy ace tournament is a kind of joke. I'm really hoping for a kind of Battle tower or battle frontier feature for the indigo disk. Somewhere you could do challenging to "prepare" for online battles/tournaments
incentives for shiny hunting, maybe some trophy display system or something. a customizable living space that you can spend days upgrading and messing around with (secret bases, unground bases, etc), some battle facility obviously, that’s a way to get theoretically infinite content with repeatable random battles. some money sink to dump millions of pokedollars on, make challenges to get more titles/ribbons for pokemon, etc
It's pretty weird that they make ribbons and then only ones you can get are like max evs and friendship ones and beating the elite four. Like wtf make more of them and more stuff to do with your mons.
It's weird they still haven't added a ribbon for raids. But let's not kid ourselves, Gen 9 proved they don't give a shit anymore, consumer zombies will still buy the games regardless. Look forward to Elite 4 getting cut for DLC.
Haha, just buy next game.
>battle Frontier or more battle facilities
>secret bosses (Red, Cynthia, etc)
>Postgame episodes or story
>Free DLC like PLA
>side missions like PLA
>More postgame cities and areas, if a second region is too much, then something like sevii islands
This plus more minigames with optional multiplayer. They will never add any of these features because gamefreak are lazy fricks.
Pokeathlon was kino. I'm angry the inevitable Johto reremakes won't have it.
