it makes no sense to not include it as a feature, it's the same as not including an ethernet port on the dock. bad planning and not considering convenience at all. tethering with a phone causes a worse connection and therefore a worse player experience.
if I could just use my switch and not have to get the wifi password everywhere I go then that would be a major upside, I don't know how you don't see that anon. The switch doesn't even work on wifi networks that require you to accept tos in browser, having a built in SIM would be a good solution to that. the switch is devoid of many hardware features that would improve qol, such as bluetooth headphone support as well.
by the same reason they removed flipnote studio, camera and sound-editing apps, nintendo is focusing more on games, and that's why the switch menu is soulless.
At the time, they were claiming the Switch wasn't a 3DS replacement. The positioned the 3DS as the "value" portable gaming experience, while the Switch was the more expensive "premium".
This lie lasted for about a year, probably about as long as it took for them to sell off their remaining 3DS stock.
Went to Japan during its peak and got an insane amount of puzzle pieces. I was actually kinda mad because there were tons of times I forgot to clear out the people that were pending so more could be added. About 5 or so years later I brought mine to Europe and got zero hits. I miss it
same reason why they didn't think to have a SIM card slot. they're moronic.
>Sim card
FRICK you cellular gays. If youre THAT desperate for online just tether to your phone.

Nobody wants a second SIM card you fricking idiot. This is a feature one in 10,000 would use, whereas Ethernet in the dock is more like 1 in 5

Apple did it with the iPad.
Imagine simping for apple
How is that simping? It's proof that people are interested in that as a feature.
they gutted all the features from the switch because people figured out how to use most of them for exploits on the 3ds.
they remove everything but sd card slot, which is required to run 90% of exploits, and after all these years they don't know it

>nintendo is focusing more on games
he he
ha ha ha
hahahahahaha
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAH
Plus too scared of pedos using it like they were with Swapnote.

I don't know, but I really liked receiving puzzle pieces from random Streetpass people
Because they got away with the UI having frick all functionality for 5 years.

Frick street pass. That shit ruined a shit laid of games due to locking content behind it.
