Nevermind any of the wokeshit, the presentation of quests as of late have been beyond abysmal. Most cutscenes (which used to be few and far between so they felt more meaningful back then) are just shitty MS Paint drawings done in a slideshow with voiceovers and they're everywhere now. I'll always remember the moments in Lord of Vampyrum or While Guthix Sleeps through the choppy in-game animations and I'll look back at any quest involving the elder gods in disgust as only Jas had an in-game model and was killed off immediately in the powerpoint slideshow.

Well tombs is the newest content and I havent tried it yet, but everything before that was position and prayer flick from what i remember.
What does this tomb boss do differently?
Well, in one phase he spits poison on the ground and rocks. You move these jars over the poison to clear the poison to stand behind the rocks before the gator does a scream that deals massive damage every other tick. (I just started doing it myself so I'm a little new to it and not very good.) Another anon could probably explain it better than I could.

It's kind of weird when you consider that you can get by on the game automatically hitting buttons for you for most of the content. The only thing RS combat needs is special attacks.
I'm maxed with like 3bill gp but the game is boring as shit new skills are dumb they're all more like mini games more than skills. I hate invention they messed up the Exp calculations so it takes longer to level up. its like 100mil to get level 99. You can also basically buy level 99 through treasure hunter so there isn't any feeling of acomplishment for me anymore. Atleast with osrs ironman I can at least feel I've acomplished my goal
OSRS is becoming RS3 without the shit hotbar, skills and graphics. Almost all the new content in OSRS are rehashes of content introduced in RS3.
The only reason OSRS is missing some content is that the dev team works at a snail's pace and has yet to introduce it.

RS3's problem isn't combat, which had a rocky launch in EoC but is in a great spot with the Revolution system.
RS3's problems include introducing torrents of cancerous P2W, MTX and FOMO content, weird aesthetic choices (skillcape icon rework / introducing npcs that you couldn't examine/talk to), too many dead minigames, etc.
There's a really charming and beautiful point-and-click adventure beneath all that garbage, somewhere.
Does RS3 have the botting epidemic that OSRS has? I mean OSRS is like at least, bare minimum, 45% bots.
archaeology and invention are the worst two skills to train, I'd rather play a korean mmo than grind in rs3.

all the content has been designed around EOC since it released anon. that's the reason why a lot high-end pvmers in osrs are worried about the future of PVM in osrs. For better or worse, jagex saw that the original combat was very limiting and way behind other MMOs. In osrs you dont really have a lot of pvm mechanics compared to rs3.

What's the difference between nu-scape and OSRS? Are there any nu-scape private servers that capture some kind of early times before the game went to shit with pozzed trash and abysmal writing? Are there any Gankerermin private nuscape servers like there is for OSRS?
I tried OSRS and just didn't have any fun, I figured maybe this would capture my attention better.
The private server scene is absolutely massive. You can find a server for basically anything you want and some of them are really cool, ive outlined some things they do here already
It kinda lives its own life though, if you play regular runescape you will never ever hear about any private servers or the state of them because no content creator wants to touch them and potentially ruin relationship with Jagex and the same is true for forums like reddit. Its a really weird situation tbqh.
Another issue is there are so many private servers that no server is truly huge, its massively divided playerbase

Anon, there's revolution combat mode. You don't have to think about abilities at all. It uses them for you.
Plus, we're getting a whole new combat style/skill soon, Necromancy, that has a highly reduced set of combat abilities. Perfect for shitters like you.

Yea this isnt what runescape is about at all, and its a mistake to keep going down this road.
OSRS also wants to be WoW so bad too it's frustrating. I really hate the concept of raids, like some of the bosses are fun but I don't want to fight a godjillion buttholes with artificially extended health pools back to back. Like TOB is decent fun except for fricking Nylos room which is a such a slog it makes me not want to do the raid at all. Then you get TOA which adds a bunch of non boss shit that would be fun in most other parts of the game, but not when I want to fight bosses. I want more bosses that you can just sit down, shut the frick up, and fight with no other strings attached. Vorkath is piss easy but I love just showing up and fighting a badass dragon and getting results without spending like 20-30 minutes of my time for a drop of some kind. Corrupted Hunleff is one of my favorite bosses in the game but I have to do a tedious prep run that I've mastered 400 kills ago just to get to the meat of the content. I'm well aware GWD was guilty of this kind of timegating shit before OSRS was a thing, but I hate getting KC/keys too.
