If Twitch streamers make millions just by sitting on their ass playing vidya and they have no talent or skills, then how come you're not making millions on Twitch like they do?

I don't have personality
It's a stretch to say they have no talent.
They entertain others by playing games, which means they are either really good, really knowledgeable, or really charismatic.
You think people on Ganker fit into any of those categories?
Ignoring twitch prostitutes in this explanation because none of you reading this are women
1. I suck at videogames
2. I suck so hard I can't make funny commentary while doing so
3. I have no tiddies
4. I'm ugly
was some troony seething about asmon leaving WoW again?
No, Ganker is seething over the twitch leaks and finding out exactly how much streamers are making.
>entertainers with hundreds of thousand followers makes more money than i do at my braindead cashier job.
>take care of my ma and pa's store selling liquor
>always daydream about being donated an assload of money for simply saying dumb jokes in the internet while playing vidya
>can't because I know I'm going to get shit on for my yokel voice
Anon, you should at least do some data-centered job. You can wfh, get paid better, and all it usually requires is excel skills
I've never heard of a single one of these people
Honestly I thought pokimane made way more money than that
she is making way more than that. Check the twitch play store page: she's in the pictures, as the official face of twitch. Of course twitch pays her because of this, and more.
That's only from subs. pokimane definitely makes WAY more money than that from simps, sponsorships, etc. especially the simps.
Are these only donations and sub earnings?
I can only imagine how hard people would seethe if they knew how much people at the highest levels of investment and corporate fields make for attending meetings once a week.
kill me baby? more like kill my 20 sales
Because I don't want to end up like the many other Youtubers that failed doing LPs.
Some have talent, some don't. I know tons of hilarious and charismatic people that play games and some even record/stream but get no views.
It's a combination of factors but the two that are most often out of average gamers' reach are simply getting lucky, (right time, right place, viral clip posted somewhere, early adopter of a game that explodes in popularity, etc.) and dedication. People think making millions of dollars playing games sounds like a dream until you realize they have to do so to the point of exhaustion.
I love playing games, I'm sure we all do, but if you play them every single day for 8-12 hours with hundreds if not thousands of people watching and listening to you it would not only grow tiresome but probably be a lot of stress and pressure as well. You lose the ability to just relax and play quietly. The ability to take a break and go for a walk or hang out with friends when you've committed to streaming all day, you have strangers all over the world constantly watching you and obsessing over your life. Maybe some people can thrive under those conditions and obviously it's not worse than flipping burgers or working in retail for min wage but it doesn't sound enjoyable to me at all.
Because I don't want to turn a hobby that I do for fun into a tedious job.
I can understand streamers making millions if they are either attractive or offer good commentary, but how the hell did asmonbald end up at the top?
dude is really good at selling an image of a bro you can play video games with.
i don't watch streamers, but i can see the appeal of him. makes you think of when you were in middle/high school and you and your friend would just chill on the couch and play gears of war/smash
What the frick am i reading, that guy looks like an asperger
Because I'm not entertaining. It's not like every moron can be a successful streamers, Twitch is filled with people who don't break 20 viewers
I've never broken 5 lmao
Only midwits use this argument. There are 9 million channels, of course someone will make bank. Will it be me? Frick no, odds of that happening are miniscule.
Some twitch streamers really make money by sitting on their ass but a lot of them don't. They're still sitting on their ass though
i´m going to try it
MY NAME IS ANON AND THIS WEEK WE ARE ONLY GOING TO PLAY SLAVJUNK GAMES, BE PREPARED, homosexualS.
I have negative talent and skills.
Because you basically become a celebrity, which comes with moronic shit like paparazzi and swatting
Not worth it IMO, especially as a full time job
So it's alot like tripgayging but irl?
the difference is tripgays do it for free, the same way being a janny is kind of like real work
No amount of money would be enough to entice me to play video games for 8+ hours per day, every day.
This
I really doubt streamers "enjoy" playing video games, especially when they have to do it as a full time job along with interacting with people
I just wanna play video games at my own pace, without frickers trying to backseat every 2 seconds
The thing is based on this picture
barely any of them play video games that much compared to the ones that spend months playing and covering a single game.
Flagged for losses irl
How the frick is anybody acting like this is news? Everybody knew this shit was going on and we now just have exact numbers, it's not even a surprise.
>If Lottery winners make millions just by sitting on their ass buying lottery tickets and they have no talent or skills, then how come you're not making millions on lottery tickets like they do?
Cause I decided to be a productive member of society. Too bad it pays poorly, but at least I have a clean conscience.
Also not being a peon for Bezos is a good extra.
