Games CANNOT be removed from steam, they can be delisted from the store but they have no fricking right to remove it from my library. I don't care if I get money back that shit is robbery
>they can be delisted from the store but they have no fricking right to remove it from my library
when games are delisted from the store they don't remove it from your library, what the frick are you talking about
That part of the agreement is unenforceable.
In fact, it was iirc one of a few ancillary complaints regarding Valve's terms of service for Steam that were deemed unenforceable; non-binding; or outright illegal when the case regarding second-hand sale of games was treated by the French courts. Another example of clauses that were deemed such, were those that try to get Valve out of having to owe you a refund on remaining wallet funds when the Steam account is closed.
Yeah it sure does!
Well.. did, about 10 years ago. Then France sued and now that part doesn't exist anymore. In fact, they're legally required to make the games usable to you even if Steam service goes down forever, which is why offline mode exists to the extent it does.
I seen someone online say that they played Rayman 2: The Great Escape (downloaded from GOG) offline and they were booted out about 30 minutes in every time

How did they download the game? I don't use Galaxy whatsoever and only use the offline installers and have had no issue with any of my games.
Allow yourself to toggle what games you play broadcast to other people. Yes I can use invisible or offline but its annoying if I'm playing a non-steam game on deck and have to go invis everytime so I'm not broadcasting to the world I'm emulating shit.
>playing with the deck >with wifi on >meaning you are inside your house
Huh
it's another >I don't understand what use cases the deck would have for people therefore its a bad product despite just not being for me episode
skip, I've seen this one already
Yes? I do like playing on the couch or on my comfy bed, or when I'm at a friends or family's place and nothing else is going on.
The flexibility is good. Wouldn't have one if I didn't have a use case for it over my pc dude
Because certain games have online functions and turning it off would be stupid? It's basically go invisible or broadcast currently. Annoying but not a dealbreaker.
Also if you had a deck you'd know that emulators and everything else should be added to steam to utilize proton and allow for use of the control mapping functions.
>It's basically go invisible or broadcast currently
clear something up for me...by "broadcast" you mean the simple fact it shows what game you're playing? cause if so, why does it bother you specifically for non steam games?

Yes. It's annoying but like I said not a dealbreaker. I just think it should be an option and people have made it clear they want it so I don't know why it's not a thing yet.
I know some idiots who add people from work onto their steam list and get uppity about having a game like Senran because "dude my co-workers will see", I guess it would be a nice feature for the insecure dummies who do stuff like that and just be a bonus for me.
>should be added to steam
Isn't it a linux machine? Wasn't that the main selling point, not being tethered to steam?
You don't have to but steam's controller functionality is so good that its hard to pass up on. There's no getting around the fact that it's a steam centric device, but if you were getting one you probably already knew that. I mean frick it's the "STEAM Deck", of course it's tied closely to Steam.
It's possible to try to predominantly use the linux desktop side but at that point you're on your own for compatibility since the gaming side handles a lot of that stuff for you.

You are the only one getting emotional over this, I simply said what I'd like as a feature and that it would be useful overall for specific users.
Why does wanting a feature like this bother you so much when people have stated time and time over that they'd like it? It does nothing to affect you negatively if they added it. The "fix" is not really a fix, it's a roundabout way of circumventing something that could have easily been added ages ago.

CSGO came out like dogshit because it's built on a dogshit game. CS was never good for anything but silly meme modes that flourished into better games anyway (like L4D).
CSGO killed off arena shooters and ironically TF2 is the last bastion of casual fragging gameplay with vague bits of arena shooter elements still in there.

If you haven't realized TF2 is their testbed, they may be even delaying the fix to study the reactions. I still don't understand why morons trust a company that is openly experimenting with their users.
I have inventory for some piece of shit called Midair that I can't remove from my account, let me remove it. I don't even remember playing a game like that.
Let me selectively exclude tags on a per-search basis. Like maybe I want to search for first person action games, but not first person shooters. Also make sure tags are correct. There are a lot of games incorrectly tagged Visual Novel, for example.

The update policy for games.
You should be able to launch a game without applying a pending update - and you should be able to indefinitely postpone an update. Moroever; you should ALWAYS have the ability to reinstall the old version of a game as it was when you actually purchased it, rather than be stuck with whatever mess a publisher may decide to make of it later in its life.
More lenient refund system. When I buy a bunch of games during a sale, I end up not playing some of them for a few months or a year, so if one of them sucks, I want my 5 dollars back.
No, we would either move onto the next big client, or even just move on from gaming in general. >Epic is only ever good for their free games >Otherwise, it's a dumpster fire of a Client >EA's Origin doesn't fair any better, but at least it's easy to avoid EA games >Uplay, or whatever they're currently calling it now, is meh >Rockstar's Social Club is doing its thang >Good ol' Games is only ever good for indie and CDProjekt games

I wish they would better manage/patrol/regulate Early Access games which claim to have multiplayer, but the latency/networking is so bad it's unplayable, or the game has a dead playerbase. The store page for multiplayer games should have an embedded historical chart for active player population.
Limiting a lit of the trash that gets dumped on there. And forcing companies that release broken games to patch or fix them if they want to continue getting sales. There are countless unplayable and broken games on there you can buy with no warnings whatsoever.
Remove the trading cards
I get the premise, but they're all just sitting in my inventory, collecting dust, especially considering you have to trade majority of the time to create whatever sticker or emoji...

Physical games too had something like this, I remember reading something like "pls don't install on more than 5 computers"
Doesn't GOG force you to use their client? and I heard GOG kick you out of games if you play without an internet connection
No? There's usually an option to download game installer
