tell me about Americans, why do they have to do their own taxes?
So the government can get even more money from them when they frick it up
Everyday I learn just how buckbroken the average burger is
You mean so an industry that doesn't need to exist is propped up.
Shit like H&R Block is the only reason they don't just send you a bill or cheque in the US and Canada.
US federal tax code is over 2600 pages of legalese and israelitespeak, then add state and local taxes on top of that. most americans are so dumb they never even read the 1 page EULA on anything. tax preparation companies exist for this reason, not the other way around. but it's also not made this way just so the government can catch you on a mistake and frick you in the ass. it's so that the wealthy can frick the government in the ass. the government is fricking everyone else in the ass regardless of whether or not they make any mistakes.
>nonamericans are so cucked not only are they okay with taxes they don't want to even be involved
Every single nonamerican posts further reveals what a sad joke existence people live outside this country
Americans really do love to be cucked. Like yeah Europeans are fricked over too but they're not happy about it, burgers will actively defend anything that happens on American soil.
>nongun owner unironically speaking like its a human
>be American
>say something on livestream
>someone dislikes what you said and calls SWAT team
>now you have a SWAT team breakining into your house
>usually by crashing into it with a bike, because that's all you need to do to make a hole in the ''wall''
>''But it's ok because I have a gun.''
Logic.
And before you make a Amy Schumer type of joke, answer why doxxing is bad and dangerous if you have your freedom that other ''third world countries'' do not.
>most armed nation on the planet
>STILL gets cucked repeatedly by the corrupt establishment
>"you won't do shit" literally a widespread internet meme in reference to cucked americans at this point
makes you think
I don't know but it sucks and they even make you do it if you live overseas and don't have to pay them any tax money or they fine you over 9000 dollars (not even joking).
Because the US gov is too lazy to tell you what you get or owe, so you have to self report. Its only really relevant if you're not getting tax forms from your employer or have unreported income that needs to be taxed. You have to tattle on yourself.
The American IRS has said repeatedly they want citizens to be able to just confirm a report sent to them like most other countries, but that companies like filing companies like Intuit have lobbied successfully for filing to be mandatory. Its no different than how car dealership lobbies have made it mandatory to use them the majority of the time if you want to buy a car.
It allows you to know exactly how the government is individually fricking you over, instead of it just being nebulous
so their pentagon can 'lose' 6 trillion dollars
accounting errors. waives hand.

>mfw getting a 930€ tax return this year
That's just money you already had that the government borrowed from you.
Yeah but it's money they automatically withheld from my government gibs so it's still free money anyway.
Or it could be tax credits

Are you guys self employed or something? Who doesn’t do their taxes asap first day you can in January to get your tax return sooner? You guys must lose money at tax time

Frick. Thank you for reminding me to do my taxes.
The envelope that I thought had my tax forms turned out to be health benefit papers. Looks like I'll be missing out this year
>the tax deadline is April 18th
Wasn't it yesterday though? I can hardly remember in the haze of rushing to finish it alongside all my homework
Don't be like me, most taxes forms you need will be available no later than February so don't wait much longer than that to file.
For the first like 12 years I could I didn't even bother filing taxes, lol. Then the first year I did the one I had doing them offered to file all of my back taxes and take 10% of the thousands I had missed out on.
>10% of the thousands I had missed out on
Man, it's probably because my returns still aren't that complex but I think I'd hate someone taking take much of my return. I'm kinda annoyed that I had to use a paid tax software this year even though it worked out to just 1.5% of my return.
>a meal at mcdonalds is fricking $20 now
>a one bedroom apartment is $1600 at minimum
>10% of my income gets taken to support Israel and teach gay sex to kindergardeners
frick this country
Just think you could have voted for ron paul
If I was old enough I would have. I'm dealing with the consequences of actions taken before I was even born.
>complaining that they took $1000 from you in taxes.
Wait until you move up in brackets.
people commonly complain about brackets without realizing how they work. for example, if a higher bracket tax is 24% and the lower one is 12%, you aren't taxed 24% on all your money for being in the higher bracket. you're only taxed at the rate of a bracket on the income within that bracket, i.e. your first 40k is taxed at 12% and your next 40k is taxed at 24% etc. it's really not as bad or "unfair" as people who aren't in those brackets seem to think. plus once you get wealthy enough it doesn't matter because your money doesn't come from income-taxable earnings anyway.

this is true.
>it's really not as bad or "unfair" as people who aren't in those brackets seem to think
what u r not talking about is bracket creep and rising inflation.
