>Me: effortlessly dodging every argument shills for this trash throw at me now that it's a confirmed flop and a bad game.
Piss and moan all you want, the pre release "might" you had is gone. All there's left is your despair. lol
>classic JRPGs
cutscenes were meant to go beyond hardware limitations for rendering. FF VII cutscenes are still fine and mostly last less than a minute. the biggest culprit is actually storage media. the larger the game data could become, the more text/cinematic bloat became possible.
Yeah, probably. I love video game stories, but I hate how they keep trying to be movies. Games are such a unique medium for storytelling, and it's just sad how so many titles, especially big tentpole releases, are so desperate to avoid the things that make game narratives interesting. I'm not saying that ALL games need to have Half-Life style cutscenes, but goddamn it'd be preferable to this fricking shit.
There isn't even 10 tlou clones in existence and most of them are from sony themselves. The whole moviegames are killing the indutry meme is the most forced argument in this shithole
How many hours of those "hold forward while someone talks at you" bits does tlou have? I watched a friend play 2 and it was like 60% that. Man I hate that shit.
I'd make the 2008 market crash happen sooner so that all of 7th gen never existed
an RPG with hours of cutscenes? guess there's a first time for everything
>RPG
someone tell him
you play the role of Clive
>You watch the movie ff16 staring Clive
ftfy

Shit game. Shit movie game even. Bye
>IT'S NOT AN RPG CUZ I SAY SO
frick off
JRPGs are widely known to have hours of cutscenes.
>acgay shitpost webm
They are not.
Only post 3 Persona and FF16 have an excess of cutscenes to gameplay.
What the frick do you care
Why are you getting so offended?
It's true
What the frick do you care?
Oh, it's a bot.
Answer the question
FFX has 10 hours of cutscenes
KH2 has 13(kino), KH3 has like 11
That much of a movie AND you get gameplay and you’ll still b***h about the price.
TLOU didn't invent moviegames. Moviegames ironically started with classic JRPGs but you weeb loving homosexuals will never admit it.

Because video compression wasnt yet a thing and that's all they could fit on a 650MB disc.
Remember that 3 discs were mostly only needed for all the FMVs. The actual game data was like 32 to 80MB or so and was copy pasted inbetween discs.
The Gameplay-cutscene cycle is not the same thing as a moviegame where you mash QTEs during unskippable cutscenes, you disingenuous frick
You mean Half Life 2, or pic related.
You mean MGS4?

Uhhhhhhh, Gankerbros? Our response?
doest TLOU have 6 hours of cutscenes?
Has longer length of cutscenes so it's a fricking movie game
How many hours of those "hold forward while someone talks at you" bits does tlou have? I watched a friend play 2 and it was like 60% that. Man I hate that shit.
MGS 4 still has more hours of cut scenes than more modern games and I never see you guys call that shit out, how come?
cuz we beat that horse to death years ago anon.
And TLoU horse hasn't been beaten to death?
I love cutscenes in FF, what's the problem
>if you go back in time you can change every developer from the 90s onward
No, I don't think I can actually
I'd rather try to prevent the 9-11. The world went to shit after that gayotry.
Like mgs4 you mean?
I dunno for all its flaws mgs4 is a pretty good game in the parts where you are actually playing it.
>muh TLOU
>a metal gear solid game has the longest continuous cutscenes in history
I would. And I wouldnt say TLoU created movie games, but it did dumb down games to focus on cinematic aspects, instead of gameplay.
>generic action game DMC wannabe
>has more cutscenes than actual story focused JRPGs
