It's a very backloaded fight. The first 4 phases are too easy, 5 feels like it was built with AM and sims in mind given how long it takes to practice mechanics that deep in the fight, and for most comps the mitigation plan for 6 insane. This one is minor, but phase 4 also being a significantly harder or easier DPS check depending on your comp.

That was true back in the day, but the old grind was moved to endgame with Mastery Leveling.
If you just want to try the story, it's super easy now to level up and get NPC party memebers. You'd have plenty of time to start from 0 and finish the main story of base XI, and there's guides to help you too.
