I didn't beat it several times. It's soo good.
>Assblasted that he'll never have the perfect version of the game that was Ocarina 3D as his first experience with it
Many such cases
>dogshit controller
>perfect
He's saying the 3ds version is perfect, not the N64.
>you didn't beat the game
3DS version actually has the hardest official mode since it's Master Quest doubles the damage you take. If anything, if you didn't beat 3DS MQ, you didn't beat the game
OoT is still very easy
OOT3D and MM play so much better the originals handle like fricking ASS.
The changes in MM3D fricking ruined the game, the definitive version is playing with the patches that fix it
not even needed, the swimming controls are actually wieldy in the vanilla version. if anything dude should have fixed the lighting instead.
The swimming controls were the least of my problems with MM3D, the deku water skip was actually the more annoying change and this one doesn't even seem to be intentional
never even noticed that the deku hop was any different, it never impacted me in the slightest.
>This shit makes Chateau Romani almost mandatory
something I welcome. I had way too many rupees in the N64 version, and this was a thing that actually makes a lot of sense. makes me feel all powerful to be invincible and shizney
Again, it's not fun or interesting. It just adds something you have to do every time you turn back time.
Now every time you return to the first day you have to kill pic related for the 200 rupees drop and buy a bottle of chateau romani when the bar opens
If I'm playing MM then I'm used to it. Have to play song of time, followed by playing inverted time, followed by rolling through the grass in termina field, followed by warping to great bay and bottling fairies, followed by changing the items on my face buttons, always one less because bunnyhood, ect
MM3D fixes every single gripe I ever had with the game. but I have to have magic milk, oh well? again I welcome it.
you realize there is a bank right? and it saves your money even after turning back time.
The rupee drops and chests are so plentiful that the bank is completely useless and depositing is a waste of time outside of the wallet and piece of heart rewards. Yes, I'm aware that you'll have 5k in the bank when you get the piece of heart but bothering with the bank at all is not worth it once you have the rewards
but then you wouldnt have to kill the bird every time you reset time.
I never kill that bird, I just grab the chests in clocktown, and the one inside the hideout sewer. I got that down to muscle memory.
>defending needing magic to swim
This shit makes Chateau Romani almost mandatory for the Great Bay portion of the game. Needing magic to swim is not fun or interesting, it's just annoying
no it doesnt, sounds like skill issue to me
honestly, magic potions are so useless in this series I enjoy it when they become useful
health pots are for noobs anyways
Vanilla MM3D is kinda ass (needing magic to swim as Zora is extremely shit) but the patch makes it perfect gameplay wise. Still doesn't fix the aesthetic changes though
The patch not only works on real hardware but can also be used with the physical cartridge version (which is how I've played it)
https://restoration.zora.re/
I'm not reading all that.
Isn't it nuts that Ocarina of Time is the only 3D Zelda that doesn't have analog camera control?
Wind Waker does.
Majora's Mask does on 3DS
Twilight Princess does on Gamecube and WiiU.
And now even Skyward Sword does on Switch.
But Ocarina of Time? The most important Zelda game? Nintendo just can't be bothered. No Ocarina of time HD Definitive Edition with proper camera control.
(They also should've fixed this in Mario 64 in Mario 3D All Stars).
>we need a remake of a perfectly playable game
It already had a remake. They just need to port it to the latest hardware, make it 60fps, and add camera control.
Don't be moronic on purpose anon.
and make it suck your dick
and make it bear your children
>thoroughly groomed into thinking he should do all the work the devs should have done in the first place
sad
>It already had a remake.
When? 3D isn't a remake. Just a remaster. Under the hood it's still the same N64 code there, just with new bells and whistles added.
Same goes for Majora's Mask 3D.
don't need it, the camera is fine as is. Analog camera control is a crutch for lazy developers
>Isn't it nuts that Ocarina of Time is the only 3D Zelda that doesn't have analog camera control?
>oh and Twilight Princess on Wii
I played Majora's Mask on Citra
True, and not only that, but you ruined one of the best games ever made for yourself. Like playing the new Silent Hill 2 remaster, or the zodiac version of FF12.
I honestly through Navi was more annoying in the 3DS version because instead of making any noise they just flash a little NAVI text at the bottom of the top screen, which on a DS might as well be the middle of the screen.
Imagine playing OoT on N64 and instead of making a sound, there was just a flashing Navi in the middle of the screen. It might as well be that. I have no idea why no one else ever complains about this.
i played both versions, what now homosexual?
All the changes MM3D did made me not even consider buying. Felt like Aonuum was trying to 'fix' the game and it shows. I can't wait for the PC port to come and play that instead.
my biggest problem is how the ruined the second boss, the bull, instead of being a chase like always, you have to make him trip, stop, transform into link and then shoot him in his new eye ball weak point with your bow, its so unsiatisfying and lame, all the bosses get a big eye ball weak poing by the way, its fricking stupid
One thing about the bosses in MM was that you could fight them in a few ways other than the intended method with regular Link using his items or the respective transformation. Skull Keeta was my favorite fight because you could play as any form and have that form salute him when you defeated him. Funny how there was more 'freedom' in older Zelda games before a certain title.
to be fair i always kill that one with regular link so i didnt know about that, im gonna try doing it with zora link next time i replay it
Go for it, just mind the firewalls with Deku/Zora and for Deku, use a bomb ahead of time and then transform into Deku before it goes off.
There are people out there who only played mgs3 on the 3ds
If you didn't beat OoT on a CRT tv on the original console then you didn't beat the game.
Did that, also did on emulators and on the 3DS, OoT was also the last game I played on my N64 using the RF connector since after that I got myself an AV cable
I played both. I had it on N64 as a kid and it was my favourite game, I'd beaten it multiple times before ever playing it on 3ds. The 3ds version is objectively better, especially via Citra with a decent joytokey config to handle the touch screen buttons.
It's wild how easy aiming with the gyro controls is, I was able to perfect the shooting galleries first try.
I went to play TP on the GC recently and holy shit I just don't remember how to aim with the analog stick anymore, that shit feels terrible
Sad. Sniping bokos in the desert was one of the greatest feelings in the series
What a fascinating topic.

Anything substantial or is it just another wacky update with redundant shit?
The most recent update isn't anything too substantial. Some bugfixes and adjustments, but nothing too major.

There hasn't actually been an update since the end of February. Fingers crossed, this indicates that the more powerful code wizards moved over to MM/2S2H.
glad to see you're still doing gods work and helping out the little people
I prefer the GC port collection.
If you haven't played a no hit 100% run blind with no walkthrough while repeatedly being interrupted by parents blaming you for their divorce while they sell your N64 you got for Christmas from your grandparents just so they can afford their next batch of white substances you didn't beat the game.
how did they get OoT3D so right but then shit the bed with MM3D?
Aonuma was the co-director of Majora's mask and continually seethes that he was only half of the director work next to Koizumi, so when Aonuma went back to Majora's Mask he simply went and instituted every stupid thing he would've done had he gotten full control in 1999.
Ocarina of time is way above his grade, it would've been career suicide to tarnish that game
I beat OOT on the N64, Gamecube and 3DS and the 3DS version is the best one solely because of the touch screen inventory management and map makes things way more convenient.
So yes, I did beat the game, more times than any of you did.
The PC port with extra button mapping makes OoT 3D obsolete.
