>it's full of soul
Get the frick out of here. Like the game all you want but the moment you start pretending a game cobbled together out of half ideas and cut content with DLC needing to do the heavy lifting in character development and with devs with such a lack of vision they had fricking polls to decide what to add or not add to the game, I'm gonna call you out on your bullshit.
Time would've allowed them to do things like keep Eos one single landmass and allow you to actually fricking visit Altissia, Tenebrae and Gralea in freeroam but other things would've been screwed regardless. The Invasion of Insomnia would've still been relegated to a movie, the combat would've still been downgraded from Episode Duscae (even when Tabata stated in an interview after Duscae came out that they had recently fully polished that combat and added the third level Techniques, only for it to be fully scrapped and reworked into the final game's combat). Plus as the other anon says a lot of things in the game right now are only a thing because people complained about them post-release, so I assure you even with two more years of dev time without any player input a lot of things would've still been fricked.
Not really, the game that came out essentially started development in 2013 with the Nomura/Tabata switch. Check the 2013 trailer again and you can see how Insomnia is actual gameplay but Altissia is CG with a fake HUD on screen.

Dudes a perfectionist and he wasn't anywhere near done with this game for approximately 7 years before Tabata was put in and told to finish it in 3 using the broken pieces.

This right here is what amazes me over the whole thing. The last Versus trailer was in 2013 or 2014 which showed story and gameplay. Then XV was announced a year later, meaning they dropped everything they were doing and had enough time to rewrite a whole new story, made a mini anime to go along with this new story, made a mobile game to go along with that, got in touch with a car company(I forgot who) to design a model car to look like the one from this new story, made a CGI movie, and not just any old CGI movie but a movie with some of the most top notch CGI at the time. All this in as little as 3-4 years.
Its been awhile so I forgot some of it but there's also some more stuff I'm missing that was also announced to go along with XV before it was released but yeah I think it was clear they were barely working on Versus and was only teasing fake shit they didn't even have on paper.

Anon lets take a moment to discuss something.
When YoshiP (The Director of FF14) went on NoClip and did his documentary, he mentioned the stat that FFXIV 1.0 was in was so fricking unorganized because everyone in it had a vision but no one talked to eachother to make it work.
This was around 15's development.
If that was the state of things on a NUMBERED FF game, I can only imagine what was going on on FF15 because a lot of signs seem to point to the same thing.
From the change from 13V to 15, to them continuing to put out previews and shit that likely no longer existed in the current build of the game they were making, to all the shit you mentioned and then like a MONTH before 15 came out, they released that Omen Commercial for 15 that had NOTHING to do with the main game that was coming out stupidly soon.
There was no proper focus on anything in this game all the way up until it launched.

Saw a comment on yt that the "omen trailer" is how things would have gone if Noc took his travel alone. Without the bros. Weird trailer but heh.

God fricking damnit. All they had to do was put together a mode that simply limits how many items you could bring into fights and that would have been sufficient. Even the DLC understood this! The Cor fight in the Gladio DLC was still pathetically easy as a superboss but limiting your potions meant you had to pay attention and couldn't just throw yourself at him and heal up when necessary like 99% of the base game. What a fricking waste.

Fair enough man. I genuinely love it and remember it fondly, I enjoy spending time in that world which is more than I can say for most games. I acknowledge it has major flaws; I still love it regardless. Have a good day anon
I don't like the game because of the stupid amount of tedious and generic quests that you can't distinguish in advance from the intersting ones. Stopped playing midway because of that.

Nah I disagree. 15 has a the elements to make an FF game but the story is fricking nothing like an FF game.
16 might be dark fantasywith more tinges of realism but it has a beginning, middle, and end that I enjoyed with things that felt like they belonged.
This isn't to say 15 is bad but I don't really consider it soulful when it doesn't fricking go anywhere.
I'm fricking pissed because of how fricking dirty square did that game. Butchered it to hell and back, removing content to put into a fricking movie and removing plot points, entire locations, and entire character arcs. The fricking main scene from the original reveal trailer that was used to advertise the game for year up until like 2 or 3 years before it's release even fricking got removed. They did a half hearted attempt to fix it with DLC but just made it what if shit. Then the one that would have been a true ending expansion was fricking cancelled and turned into a fricking book. A FRICKING BOOK. Then the shit cherry on top of this sundae was them cancelling the modding tools to add your own quests and other shit into the game.
It sucks because there was a good game trapped in there somewhere and what we got had a great main cast that deserved to be in a actually completed game.
the death of FF, I remember the magazines and my friends were all about FFVIII for months, tbh ff8 was shit, but nowadays it's just over.
I don't care for it, not that I had even looked into it
What the frick is up with the nips appeal for giant women? Is it because they are all manlets and get hot under the collar when a woman somewhat taller than them walks by?
I never understood why Noctis didn't just summon Shiva right away to fight Ifrit if she could one-shot him. Hell how is Shiva more powerful than Bahamut even?
It's unfair how much everyone collectively shits on the FFXIII trilogy when FFXV is so much worse and deserves the hate so much more, but everyone seems to love XV outside of this board, because people have lower standards now and because there's no haha funny hallways meme video for it
>everyone seems to love XV outside of this board
Do they? Only place I see people desperate to enjoy its positives far more than its negatives is r*ddit, even YouTube comments always focus on Versus what-ifs over enjoying XV as is unless it's a tragic cutscenes which elicits the same "man I LITERALLY CRIED at this scene so powerful" response as always
When I was in college I knew chicks that cried at Prompto's DLC.
Granted they are women.
That being said the only thing that got me was the last campfire scene and the ending, but not in any grand way. The only FF games that made me feel anything like that is 6, 7, 9, 10, 14, and 16.
The whole Drama and group infighting at the end was a pathetic experience and was comical in presentation.
When they got together one last time at the campfire, I lost all respect and the ability to feel anything for those characters.

You seem upset. Are you going to throw another tantrum when I say that I don't want to play games with Black folk and trannies either?
You're obviously tourist or a worse, a homosexual and felt offended by my post
I don't understand how leftists claim to be artistic and creative and yet insist on parasites like this stifling vision and creativity because something might be """problematic."""
Sadly most people care more about "winning" than actual art. They would much rather win political points destroying statues than preserve them in a museum where the artistry and history can be learned from. In the end they are just like Muslims, destroying anything that is an affront to their "God".
>One thing FF15 did right was that it wasn't afraid of fan service, and that fact alone has probably earned them millions of sales
Holy mother of secluded delusions. You are vastly overestimating the importance the general population puts on that.
It's tries its hardest to be Versus fanservice as well as making Ardyn out to be the misunderstood villain teased in the base game. The problem is that it was the first DLC in the game's second wave of expansions where all DLCs put together would've told an alternative story but Episode Aranea, Lunafreya and Noctis were all cancelled so Ardyn stands alone with choices at the end of the DLC that ultimately tease something that never came.
Alot of you zoomers don't know how bad FFXV really is. You hopped on the train maybe years later. I made the mistake of buying it within a week of release. To this day I still want my money back for this trash heap, but that would require me to care enough to look for the copy that probably got thrown in the garbage years ago.
Adamantoise is such a fricking drag. I ended up using the Ring of Lucii to instakill it the second time. then learned they nerfed being able to do that later.
Guy you're responding to here. I didn't beat him because the fight was just too boring. Beat the whole game, and it just didn't feel like it was worth the 5 hour grind to whittle his health down.
I think 13 gets the appropriate amount of hate.
The only thing the majority of these games have thats good is the graphics.
God Nova Crystalis was so fricking boring yet it had so much money behind it it's insane.
We had TEN YEARS of noting but Nova Crystalis.
People got tired of it after 13-2. It's the only FF game to get THREE games, and it nearly killed all interest in FF right next to 14 1.0.
What the frick are you smoking, 13-2 was trash. You only had TWO playable characters and had to fill the party out with random pokemons.
LR was arguably the best out of the XIII trilogy by virtual of having the best combat system, although XIII edges it on story and presentation.

LR had the bullshit time limit and the most nonsensical story of the three.
Anonymous
At least the nonsensical bits are memorable, I can't even remember a single plot element from XIII-2, it was just sarah doing some shit with her simp (not boyfriend since thats technically snow).
LR did have the time limit BS, but its not so bad once you realise the game had no content beyond the basic story content so the timer is meaningless since there's nothing to do.

it had four with the dlc, and solo sarah is THE FUN PART
so are pokemon but as a challenge I didnt even use them for the final boss, when s ranking it anyway.
LR is tedious despite being the best majoras mask game since majoras mask. it ties with 13-1 which is the most vanilla FF of the three but doesnt get good til pulse/ post game titan trials unfortunately.
none of 13 is "trash", you're trash.

This anon gets it. Narrative-wise we should've only had XIII as everything after it kills the universe and introduces moronic parallel timelines and universes and time gates and shit. Mechanics-wise Lightning Returns was just XIII'd combat but better and actually having a nice hub-based open world not based in hallways. The latter's gameplay with the former'd story and no sequels and XIII would be liked well enough.
>FF13 established l'cie and fal'cie lore but never explained why gods are so obsessed with Etro's gate >Type-0 established Agito to be the chosen one who can open Etro's gate but the plot never really digs anything about it (still doesn't explain what's the fricking deal with Etro's gate or why Arecia created a timeloop just to find a cadet to become Agito) >Versus13 is SUPPOSED to explain the lore of Etro and why Etro's gate and Agito are so fricking important but the game never happens so all the lore the two other games trying to establish are totally pointless now
>FF13-2 shit on the lore with time travel bullshit. the lore can no longer be taken seriously by that point
>FF13 established l'cie and fal'cie lore but never explained why gods are so obsessed with Etro's gate
Dysley and Cid's dialogues, datalogs and Ultimania explained why.
>bought the game because I saw some preview videos on steam showing the car transforming and taking off >looks fricking awesome, get the game >you car cannot leave roads until you are nearly done with the game >your car can only fly once you are actually done with the game
BULLSHIT
and yes, I found the secret landing pad, and the dungeon was NOT worth it playing through the game
real talk im just STILL doing side quests and level grinding in chapter 3. I nearly cleared the level 60? 80? dungeon im CLEARLY not supposed to be in, I have like 5 of the king weapons or whatever. at some point I got bored and went back to iris to progress the game anyway and thats the last I remember playing it. im already like level 60 in chapter 3.
There were some slight improvements with the Royal Edition which has everything and anyone who played on release got fricked. There was more planned but got scrapped and have to read the Japanese novels to finish up the plot.
It was good, nexus being nexus didn't allow mods with iris on them, but you can easily find them on other sites, and I like that you can swap your party with the girls
Humans were created in the Astrals' image and while most Gods didn't care about them Ifrit liked them enough to gift them fire which created civilization. As Gentiana puts it during her train visit in time some humans "began to see themselves as superior to the gods and spurned their blessings". Ifrit saw it as a betrayal and went full rage mode declaring war on everything. The Astrals were sworn to protect Eos even from each other so they all fought Ifrit and locked him under the Rock of Ravatogh which is why by the events of the game it's a volcano. After that the TLDR is >Empire finds Ifrit's body >they also end up finding Ardyn's after being locked in that one island for 2000 years >they're both taken to the same facility >Ardyn wakes up, corrupts Ifrit with the Scourge and allies himself with the Empire turning into their chancellor or whatnot bestowing upon them knowledge on how to create daemons to frick up the Lucis royal line
Essentially Ifrit got jelly because humanity turned atheist and stopped sucking his wiener
I always liked it when they mixed things up with the summons. This one and XII where they had unique summons and made all the traditional ones into airships was interesting.
No, XIII used the traditional summons like Shiva. XII was where they made all the traditional summons into airships and they used all original summons. XIII's summons did nothing really new except change them into Transformers.
i really liked ff15

pretty sure it had to do more about the lack time/money, than "vision". The game has a huge world and its great to explore it.
Time would've allowed them to do things like keep Eos one single landmass and allow you to actually fricking visit Altissia, Tenebrae and Gralea in freeroam but other things would've been screwed regardless. It would have been easier to do XV-1 as Lucian and end at chapter 9, then XV-2 with the Imperial continent.
I don't get why they did 2 XIII sequels but the far more ambitious XV had to be one game
It's mostly fricking empty
it's a matter of opinions but I think it's fine. And of course the more the better.
The game was in development for ten years.

I've tried multiple times, but the gayotry of the party is too much for me
If XV is too gayotry then I don't know what to call XVI
the death of FF, I remember the magazines and my friends were all about FFVIII for months, tbh ff8 was shit, but nowadays it's just over.
I don't care for it, not that I had even looked into it
It started fun, but the moment you stop traveling in the car it was a trainwreck.
Gentiana is hotter
Did they ever release the full nude models that have fully modeled nipples and all?
can you get closer to her ass?
What the frick is up with the nips appeal for giant women? Is it because they are all manlets and get hot under the collar when a woman somewhat taller than them walks by?
Literal big ass breasts
They want to get stepped on.
giantess fetish is getting more popular
I say we start only lusting after women that are at least 6 foot and put it in our dating profiles.
That'll show these girls
It's the thinking man's fetish moron. There's a reason why the nordics are the tallest Europeans. They don't breed with short women or racemix.
Other way around, Nordics are matriarchies where women only went for the tall men.
That makes no sense. Short men would've been bred out during hunter gatherer days when no was nice to the genetic lottery losers.
It was a gradual process. Nordic countries are all highly feminine.
Isn't there a bunch of boomer American movies about giant women
I am 193 cm tall and still want to frick an Amazon. homosexual
I'm 197 cm yet I still beat my dick into a red pulp thinking about taller female specimens, you homosexual.
What's better than women?
More women, bigger women, but not "Fat" women
Hence by Giant is the better direction
I never understood why Noctis didn't just summon Shiva right away to fight Ifrit if she could one-shot him. Hell how is Shiva more powerful than Bahamut even?
Lazy for the love of god never stop doing Gentiana stuff
>8 above 10
whew that garbage stinks
AI article
When I was in college I knew chicks that cried at Prompto's DLC.
Granted they are women.
That being said the only thing that got me was the last campfire scene and the ending, but not in any grand way. The only FF games that made me feel anything like that is 6, 7, 9, 10, 14, and 16.
The whole Drama and group infighting at the end was a pathetic experience and was comical in presentation.
When they got together one last time at the campfire, I lost all respect and the ability to feel anything for those characters.
Yeah it was dumb. Everything actor act 3 is when they started rushing to finish it.
after act 3*
>V that low
>XII and 7R above V
What the frick?
One thing FF15 did right was that it wasn't afraid of fan service, and that fact alone has probably earned them millions of sales
XVI had fan service thoughever
Don't start this shit my homie Dion is a good dude.
Dion is a chad - he literally struts in every scene
I feel like this image alone sums up exactly why I will never ever touch FFXVI
must suck being such a sensitive little b***h
I have no idea why you're so offended by my post. Are you gay or something?
>make pathetic comment
>confused when asked why he's pathetic
You seem upset. Are you going to throw another tantrum when I say that I don't want to play games with Black folk and trannies either?
You're obviously tourist or a worse, a homosexual and felt offended by my post
It's a criminal how FFXV had such a GOD tier female character designs
Agreed
Also
>Iris > Cindy > Aranea > Gentiana > Young Luna > Luna
How did they allow this outfit in current year
You can see her vegana bone
SE Ethics Department was just formed in 2016, around the release of the game, so it's too late to change anything
In the end they are just like Muslims, destroying anything that is an affront to their "God".
why is the aspect ratio fricked up
>One thing FF15 did right was that it wasn't afraid of fan service, and that fact alone has probably earned them millions of sales
Holy mother of secluded delusions. You are vastly overestimating the importance the general population puts on that.
>Ifrit canonically banged Shiva in both XV and XVI
He can't be stopped.
I realized I've had episode Ardyn for years and never played it, is it good?
Did you beat adamantoise?
Nah, I finished the first few chapters and was done with it, thing was too shitty to bother continuing to the end.
I wanna tap Ifrit
The camera feature was the best feature of it.
kingsglaive > cindy > other final fantasy games > ff15
But Kingsglaive wasn't good
The idea that this was required watching to understand any of the games story was fricking dumb.
>Gladio's dad was changed so fricking late in development official books still use his Versus design
nice ass
wasted potential: the game
More like wasted potential: the decade long project that went nowhere
type 0 is underrated, 13 is overhated, vs 13 would have been better than 15.
13-2 is the best one of the three, people are so weird I can't relate anymore.
<---------- bait
Yeah 13-2 WAS the good one.
It should have been the ONLY ONE
What the frick are you smoking, 13-2 was trash. You only had TWO playable characters and had to fill the party out with random pokemons.
LR was arguably the best out of the XIII trilogy by virtual of having the best combat system, although XIII edges it on story and presentation.
LR had the bullshit time limit and the most nonsensical story of the three.
>You only had TWO playable characters and had to fill the party out with random pokemons
Wait a second...
And both are terrible games
13-2 combat is Peak, it's the most fun FF game I've had in decades, its monster taming mechanic is a lot of fun
They made these three games for you
>FF13 established l'cie and fal'cie lore but never explained why gods are so obsessed with Etro's gate
>Type-0 established Agito to be the chosen one who can open Etro's gate but the plot never really digs anything about it (still doesn't explain what's the fricking deal with Etro's gate or why Arecia created a timeloop just to find a cadet to become Agito)
>Versus13 is SUPPOSED to explain the lore of Etro and why Etro's gate and Agito are so fricking important but the game never happens so all the lore the two other games trying to establish are totally pointless now
>FF13-2 shit on the lore with time travel bullshit. the lore can no longer be taken seriously by that point
FNC project is such a mess Holy shit
>FF13 established l'cie and fal'cie lore but never explained why gods are so obsessed with Etro's gate
Dysley and Cid's dialogues, datalogs and Ultimania explained why.
>bought the game because I saw some preview videos on steam showing the car transforming and taking off
>looks fricking awesome, get the game
>you car cannot leave roads until you are nearly done with the game
>your car can only fly once you are actually done with the game
BULLSHIT
and yes, I found the secret landing pad, and the dungeon was NOT worth it playing through the game
real talk im just STILL doing side quests and level grinding in chapter 3. I nearly cleared the level 60? 80? dungeon im CLEARLY not supposed to be in, I have like 5 of the king weapons or whatever. at some point I got bored and went back to iris to progress the game anyway and thats the last I remember playing it. im already like level 60 in chapter 3.
>"Blue balls waste of time"
>t.Conan O'brien, the man who killed XV
Did they somehow fix FFXV? I played it on release and it was a boring slog.
Define "Fix".
They allowed you to play s all 4 characters in the main story now, which is fine but that doesn't fix the encounters.
There were some slight improvements with the Royal Edition which has everything and anyone who played on release got fricked. There was more planned but got scrapped and have to read the Japanese novels to finish up the plot.
I miss him
isn't she cold?
I've always thought of playing this but I hate turn based combat. Will I enjoy this?
Are you dumb, anon?
How is that relevant in any way?
How are the lewd mods?
It was good, nexus being nexus didn't allow mods with iris on them, but you can easily find them on other sites, and I like that you can swap your party with the girls
custom animations?
So why the frick was Ifrit the bad guy in this story? Sounds like he was helping humans out until they turned into buttholes.
After that the TLDR is
>Empire finds Ifrit's body
>they also end up finding Ardyn's after being locked in that one island for 2000 years
>they're both taken to the same facility
>Ardyn wakes up, corrupts Ifrit with the Scourge and allies himself with the Empire turning into their chancellor or whatnot bestowing upon them knowledge on how to create daemons to frick up the Lucis royal line
Essentially Ifrit got jelly because humanity turned atheist and stopped sucking his wiener
Should've been satisfied with frozen coochie I guess.
That is the best ass I've ever seen
i seen better
I always liked it when they mixed things up with the summons. This one and XII where they had unique summons and made all the traditional ones into airships was interesting.
XII? you mean XIII?
No, XIII used the traditional summons like Shiva. XII was where they made all the traditional summons into airships and they used all original summons. XIII's summons did nothing really new except change them into Transformers.
