It's gen 5, it was the style back then. I did all kinds of mental gymnastics to keep Serperior on my team, but the fact was he didn't cut the mustard and got to be king of box 1.
Because the game has a lot of optional areas, it's not designed like Sword and Shield where the game takes you through every area that exists in the game. Also I forgot how stylish the UI looks in BW2
> All these routes have something in common
They’re empty, short, and linear?
>route with a main quick path for lazy gays and many smaller routes with optional content for those who like to explore vs a straight line
i know you're trolling, but at least do it better
>I-IT LEADS SOMEWHERE ELSE!!
so does kalos route 1

Games will feel shorter when you enjoy them, just like when you do something you actually like to do, time just flies. But if you do something you don't enjoy, it seems to take forever and you're most likely going to drop it and find something else to do. It's short because you enjoyed your time in BW2.
Just look at the modern slop we get, we buy a game expecting to have fun, but instead it turns into boredom very quickly and the game feels like it takes forever to beat. We need games that are made by good people who have fun making said games, not corporate slaves who are told what to do. Pokemon is no exception to what happens when the devs don't truly enjoy what they do, they are forced to make this modern trash by the think tanks and bankers who buy them up.
TLDR: The product is a reflection of its creator, and what you are seeing with modern games is a reflection of the creators pain and suffering, and wanting to be freed from the corporate madness.
