If you are brave enough to disassemble it, try unplugging the battery from the PCB and replugging it, sounds like a uncalibrated battery imo. Mine was charging and reporting incorrect charges and got better once I did that.
I bought one shortly after release, only ever owned 3 games (Wipeout 2048, Touch My Katamari, and Army Corps of Hell) and only played it very briefly.
A month ago I found it sitting neatly in a box somewhere in my house, nestled in bubblewrap. It's in perfect condition physically, not a scratch on it, basically looks new, but no matter how long I charge it for it simply will not turn on. It's weird because I've found DSes that I didn't play for a decade or more and yet they work fine, but the Vita doesn't.
I absolutely love emulators but man, something like the PS Vita or 3DS just can't be replicated without the actual system. The feel, the form factor, ACTUALLY being able to take it with you (frick you Switch and Steam Deck), along with the unique library, it's a completely different gaming experience than PC and consoles.
In my mind, I would love the return of these, but nowadays I feel the goal would be 100% of a console's library on the go, and I feel like a hypocrite for hating exclusives, but I don't think handhelds would be anywhere near as special if it wasn't for the libraries working around their limits and prioritizing a gameplay flow that works with being able to start and stop at will.
homosexual normies wouldn't know a good thing if it slapped them in the face. It boggles my mind that the 3ds outsold it considering that this device was doing Uncharted on launch and had OLED and bluetooth on top of many other features including party chat.

Fan translation patches and uncensored mods and shit. A bunch were releasing pretty often like three years ago, but I haven't been keeping up with the scene for a while.
All of the EVO version of the Kiseki(Trails)
games have now been translated into English. If you want to play them(on Vita) this is the way to go. DOAX3, all Senran's, Criminal Girls(2 just has an english patch that restores the moans during punishment time) Moero Chronicles & Valkyrie Drive all have nude mods along with others

the battery is probably dead, you can buy a cheap battery replacement from aliexpress

If it's any consolation, the vita3k emulator is working well enough on the PC at the moment.

A lot, you can play most vita games on it no problem with CFW and upscale the graphics output to 4k
it's really only good for games and homebrew which is unfortunate since it came out during the rise and fall of STBs.
