Does that mean there's a modded version without censoring?

No I mean jap version had extra content release. It was expansion. English release only has original but expanded release is jap only. There is no uncensored CG.
It's sad that anime artists nowadays only draw FOTM and gacha b***hes for engagement bait.
normal anime and normal games don't get fanart anymore. except some AI.
>time stop song >almost everything after her song debut is immune to all status
I get that her song is broken but come on. At least you can still use upstream waltz on everything.
at least her 5-gauges songs deal huge damage to all enemies and buff your ATK. but by the time you fill 5 gauges, you would've probably killed most enemies anyway.
The only 5 bar song worth using is Levia because it trivialises resource management while its active.
Hilda/Sakuya are the only relevant witches offensively in the back half and don't want to be stuck doing song conducts. Popo/Lisette is more support oriented and Mor is bad anyway.
i didn't even play this fricking game, but if you want to drop a fricking analysis on it, please do. May god have mercy upon our souls for talking about video games.
Not that anon but >The good
Fun strategy gameplay
Likable characters
Unique ending with every character in the game, though some endings are better than others
Very good music >The bad
Gameplay gets really slow in the late game because there's no enemy skip option and the ai takes its sweet ass time moving every enemy
You get locked out of the true ending, the final team member, and the true final boss if you don't max out your relationship with one very specific character
Character balance isn't great. Low speed characters are just really painful to use and movement types + movement ranges can break or make some characters (thankfully the teleport ring you can get helps with this somewhat) >mixed
The story varies. Some elements are pretty good, but some parts were just painful to sit through or just feel like drama for drama's sake.
If you want to break the game just use Nonoka. Status conditions are just so amazing in this game that her ability to just effortlessly stack them while having great speed and all around strong stats makes her amazing in pretty much every part of the game.
It's convenient that Rusty is really good since I think he's the only character that's suddenly required for a mission beyond his introduction.
I'd argue there are a few other characters that are worth considering. Dorothy can be a fun gimmick and Giselle is another really strong all-rounder (even if she's limited to end game.)
The Harbinger are meh and there's no reason to use them anyway since the final battle require you to use Alto + the witches. if you don't level up your witches, you're bricked. the freedom of choice is an illusion.

Who the frick else would people use outside of the witches + knight bros?
Are you telling me people actually use Ewan and KEITH?

I'd actually use Veronica, Dante, Dorothy and Archibald.
Ewan is a decent support and Keith is a beast if you actually level him up + max bond

You can get away with an underpowered Mort. Not like she really makes much of a difference.

You can't
she's very slow (barely get a turn) and has low 4 movement
She's a dead weight, useless even as a healing item provider

Anonymous
That's my point, she's not going to help during the final battle anyway so why even bother leveling her?
Lisette's songs are the only ones worth using in the endgame because enemies are pretty much immune to Popo/Hilda's ailments, Sakuya has better things to do like actually hit things with her high offensive stats and Mordimort is kind of bad anyway.
Also, she has some fairly good weapons and the Hip Drop move for whatever reason has the same damage modifier as Alto's ultimate.
>God Tier: Rusty, Nonoka, Hilda >Good Tier: Alto, Sakuya, Giselle(?) >Okay Tier: Most of the Rest >Meh Tier: Klaus, Mordi >Oh Shit, Son, What Are You Doing Tier: Ewan, Keith
>God-Tier: Hilda, Rusty
Huge ass damage and great mobility. Can rape anything.
Rusty reminds me a lot of Colet from Jeanne D’Arc. Colet is way more broken though.
>Top-Tier
Nonoka - A slightly worse version of Rusty, great mobility and convenient Stealth, but she lacks pure destructive capability to be truly broken
Alto – Solid front liner with Follow Up and AoE attack. His weakness is his MP pool.
Popo – Great all rounder with super range, high damage magic and all the heal you need
Sakuya – Solid front liner + very useful Song; Terminus Blade (erase 500 HP) is OP.
>Good-Tier
Giselle – Mobility and Damage. Too bad she came way too late.
Lisette – I don’t need this much heal when I have Popo and can spam items. Her damage is meh and she’s too squishy
Veronica – Great mage that joined with immediate high level, but I don’t see any reason to use her over other Witches.
>Meh-Tier
Dante – Alto but worse, no reason to use him
Archibald – Simply too defensive oriented, even with his useful Max Bond passives
Klaus – Too average and his healing sucks. Only available early game
>Trash-Tier
Mor – Squishy, shit accuracy, shit magic range, slow SPD, low movement. She’s only useful for her Trap that taunt enemy, that Trap is very useful, though, but it dependent on Terrain type.
Dorothy – Her skills have too many condition + sacrificing HP for damage is moronicly useless
Keith – Lower damage than Popo, no support skill. Crit and Acc are great with Max Bond, but he offers nothing else.
Ewan – Shit damage, being a glorified item thrower is useless when anyone can carry their own, Lockpicking utility that’s not useful at all.

swap rusty and nonoka. rusty isn't broken by any stretch of the imagination and I don't know why that became a meme beyond "dude movement lmao". he's solid but does not belong in the tier with a character that can spam the best aoe in the game and teleport or one that can 100% proc stop and other broken ailments.

Rusty is broken because he has high speed, movement , damage and decent defensive stats.
Can you grind? I like my party to be all at the same level.
There are normal plotless battles but they will put you too far ahead of the curve if you do them all even if you are one of those "use every character equally" gay. Especially the 3DS Podometer Coin ones at the end that can easily give you 2 levels per kill. And there are a lot of enemies to kill.
Would anyone know how to use a ng+ file for the hshop undub version? Tried using two ng+ files i got from an anon here, pretty sure they are for the undub, and restoring them in with Checkpoint, but when starting the game up I got an error that the save files were corrupted.
Literally just place the save file in the Citra folder I forgot where it's in the C:USer something. just google it.
Im playing undubbed NG+ for 9 Free Time points
The format's the same, at the least they're both .bin files. I tried playing a bit and saving at the first opportunity then backing up the new save in Checkpoint to confirm. If I can't figure it out I might switch over to my pc and citra, but I'd prefer to play it on the ds.
Yeah it's a slog late game. It's still easy, but enemies are getting tankier.
I really dislike Ch.10. Gathering 4 song notes feel so fillerish. It's a grand fetch quest. The devs know this too since the chapter is almost completely unvoiced.
Posting worst girl
even gameplay wise she's garbage.
squishy as hell, shit accuracy for normal attack, magic is only 2 square range, no heal or support ability.

It's a shame but yeah she's pretty easily the weakest witch. It feels like they wanted her to be the support witch but her abilities are just too situational and Lisette's healing is far more useful as far as support goes. But what really kills her is the poor movement range and god awful speed. The enemies are already going to be dead by the time she reaches them.

Wait. Is this game one of those where they lock all QoL behind NG+ and force you to play through shittier NG for no reason other than padding?
Only money transfers over.
All free time slots are multiplied by 3, hence allowing the player to fully max out all bonds and get all character-specific exploration items provided you plan them out autistically.
So why are there people starting this game fresh on NG+ files? Apparently NG is worse?
I personally hate NG+. The experience gain is massively boosted so you get way too powerful and trivialize the game immediately. Sucks that it's practically the only way to tune all the girls while having enough time to do other shit too.

To be specific:
In NG+ you can max 2 out of the 3: >Character affinity >Part time jobs >Unique exploreation items
Most chapters have at least 1 unique item/accessory you get by exploring multiple times.
The only really good ones are the last 2 chapters IMO.
You can plan up to chapter 8 to get some exploration unqiuye items since you can max part time job and character affection to full by middle of chapter 7-8 and have to spend like 12 free time points exploring, but it's too much planning for ok rewards
[...]
So why are there people starting this game fresh on NG+ files? Apparently NG is worse?
Raising (and maxing) bond unlocks passives per level.
The witches gain new forms at max as well as the corresponding witch levels for you to fight in prior.
When you explore enough times per chapter, Alto can pick up something a character left behind.
One of the useful items there is Rusty's Lady's Card accessory. It gives you some AGI in exchange of some MDEF, perfect for Mordi.
Also, Hilda's accessory gives you +1 MOV when used, but it requires you to explore 9x to get.
I did get all of their exploration items in one of my NG+ playthrough but I need to sacrifice a whole tavern part time job to make it fit.
NG has enough bond points for a few bonds, and it's more expectwd for you to max one and spread a bit, and that's if you don't do anything else than bond all the time, so no getting each character special item.
Ng+ has enough for all bonds and all special items and a bit of the shop minigame tjat I barely remember what it is about.
here.
For anyone searching the archive for answers like I was previously, I wasn't able to find a proper stella glow undub ng+ save for the cia version, but that's fine as I'm using the added freetime cheat applicable with Checkpoint instead.

Well, for the cia I installed with Citra, this worked
https://www.mediafire.com/file/3jfs2rs89wrx9c3/Stella+Glow+NG+.zip/file
Was excited to try this. Really was a kick in the head when it turned out to be another tactics RPG after I just finished 6 mostly shit Fire Emblem games.
I'll give you that I forgot Serena's regression too, but it's really just the arbitrary grinding that fricks it up. Everything is suddenly balanced 10 levels ahead and if you overshoot in your metal slime farming, the game becomes a joke.
I guess? Old Persona were just decentish SMT games that were easier than I would like, but I enjoyed the characters and plot quite a bit, and new Persona is much the same, but just with more mediocre VN sections that make for a really weird, but kind of novel, pacing.
For me it's a series of 7s or 8s out of 10, don't know if that makes me a "fan" or not, but I've played them all at least.

personally really liked 2 and 3, 4 was fun and I liked it but it felt too formulaic and the characters were I guess overly sympathetic, p5 on the other hand was pure shit imo, liked it ok starting up but the characters narrative pace and repetitive bombastic visuals ruined it for me, just awful, hence it goes on top of the list, its breaindead easy too
Popo's is okay.
love popos first song where she seems to want to kill herself, all the songs are great the game does an amazing job with them
Bro, I love Mary Skelter but their was so little plot in 3 that you have to read a novel to know what the frick happened. Also, 2 was just complete filler to introduce two new characters. Them being lesbians wasn't an issue, it wouldn't make since if one of them wasn't a girl.
what if I enjoyed at least one game in each category from this image? >Dragon Quest X and Xenoblade Chronicles 3 (would like to do Suikoden and Chrono Trigger one day) >liked Legend of Heroes and Dark Souls although I wouldn't consider the latter much a RPG though (Xenosaga and Breath of Fire are also in my backlog) >liked Disgaea and Mary Skelter (didn't do Sakura Taisen yet) >liked Blue Reflection and Ar Tonelico >a big fan of Atelier games except Ryza (plan on playing Growlanser and that Touhou RPG too)
image is misleading, it's the all ages version of the game that was censored further in the ps4 and I think it was forbidden release on the uk, so technically the switch version is uncensored, same deal with nekopara
I only play on Saturday and Sunday since I'm too tired to open my laptop after work during weekdays (I only play Switch during bus commute)
I'm currently at the final mission of Chapter 10.
I'm gonna play until halfway of the final chapter today, like 5-6 hours, then finish the game next week, then move on to... I don't know... one of these.
any recommendation?
none of those is that good, maybe witch spring, I'd recommend to play some other weeb game from the top list, also play in original hardware, I find myself quickly losing interest/motivation when I emulate on a pc
Am I the only one who didn't enjoy Bond Events with the girls? All of them are so boring, the writer can't write girls for shit.
Only Bond Events with the dudes are actually entertaining since they have more personality and natural connection/friendship with you instead of just being your personal onahole like the 5 witches.
Honestly I liked most of it, but the combat is so mind-numbingly slow and you can't even speed it up on emu because then you have to give up listening to the songs.
There's no hope for an HD version of this game outside of Citra, is there? I remember being drawn in by the Hilda ending pic that kept being posted here and genuinely enjoyed the game enough to actually buy a physical copy even though I pirated it on my hacked 3DS
I wouldn't say consistently remembered, but it's gotten a small cult following here for sure (which I'm 99% sure exists because people keep getting baited into playing the game by the ending pic like
People only know of it thanks to the meme ending picture and even then most people don't even know what game it's from.
said)
It doesn't get brought up as Ganker-core very often but it feels more Ganker-core than most games that get referenced as being """/v/-core"""
No.
it's because I've been making Stella Glow thread every weekend in the past month or so since I've been playing the game.
Next week will be the last.
The Top 3 were always Hilda, Popo, and Sakuya.
One for 1000 years of pent up sexual frustration, the other for just happy energy, and the other because she's a bombshell.
It's a solid enough strategy RPG with a good artstyle and serviceable story. My biggest issues were no jukebox and that battles are very slow with no speed up function.
I haven't played the game in a few years but there is a hot springs scene where the character portraits wear bath towels in that glorious 3DS resolution. That particular plotline involves the MC and another character trying to stop a third character from peeping in on the girls and all three getting caught.
I feel mixed on the twist. It's fine but I'm not a big fan of the segment of gameplay that comes after, and that section where you lose your party just feels forced.

this game was way better than it had any right to be
everything about it meant it should have been a 6/10 but in reality it was a really good 9/10
childhood friend ending is best ,too
Farming aspect in Harvestella is 100% unneeded. It has nothing to do with everything else in the setting. It doens't make sense. I hate it.
don't play it for the farming aspect
the combat makes more sense as to why it feels so barebones when you hear that the developers originally were planning a turn based system but since the farming and rest of the game play in real time they converted the combat to real time too.
It's the kind of game I'd only recommend for story and not so much the gameplay
I'm one of the few who genuinely loved Harvestella. It doesn't have super deep farming or crafting mechanics like Rune Factory, but it has a great story, great characters, a fricking phenomenal soundtrack, and fun enough farming and dungeon-diving that I could forgive how shallow the mechanics were. It's a super underrated game that got shit on because Squeenix forced in some woke pronoun shit at the beginning (which literally does nothing) and then didn't market the game at all. It's worth playing at least once if you like Rune Factory or if you just like sci-fi JRPGs.
>because Squeenix forced in some woke pronoun shit at the beginning
People who complain about stuff like this likely wouldn't have bought the game anyway and just take any chance they can get to complain about the woke demon. I think the thing that actually negatively affected Harvestella was that there was no romance. A big part of why people like HM/RF is because of the dating sim aspect, so doing a RF clone but leaving that out instantly killed a lot of people's interest. At least it definitely killed mine.
>People who complain about stuff like this likely wouldn't have bought the game anyway and just take any chance they can get to complain about the woke demon.
I dropped it off my radar because of it. Why give any money to woke shit when I can spend it elsewhere?
This game had some raw moments that caught me off guard >Mayor Ugly Bastard using Popo's wind powers to run his secret drug farm >Everyone nearly dying in a volcanic eruption after Sakuya's powers fail >Mordi building an entire city and people out of mud to deal with trauma >Mass crystallization of entire towns and cities >Everything about Xeno and the motherfricking moon >The game was post-apocalyptic all along
Been a long time since I've last been able to come across a Stella Glow thread, so might as well post songs for Anons:

It's stuff like this that made the game kino. It's honesly a shame we will never see a prequel.
I finished this game and watched the other endings in youtube. Do you guys really like Hilda that much? Her plan was moronic and wouldn't even work in the long run.You can see the twist a mile a way. I can't get over the fact that the harbingers are so psychotic and wants to kill you then suddenly you have to be chums with them.
yeah harbingers are le evil it's stupid that they're secretly le good guys
Stella Glow is basically Luminous Arc 4 and all of the games have the same basic plot flow of the main antagonists in the first section are secretly good guys who were trying to stop the real villains who you inadvertently helped along.
Hilda in particular is just a e-girlfied version of one of the main heroines of 2 (and stupider too)
1 is rough around the edges
2 is Stella Glow 0
3 is a middle ground between 1 and 2 while also being the hardest one gameplay wise. Its kind of grindy because of the way it handles new equipment.
I never played Infinity but i heard that its terrible.

I dont get this complaint. Did you not pay attention to the game telling you several times that Altea is not human and emtional repression is what's keeping her powers in check?

The chapter is poorly placed in the game and that's why its stupid. If they wanted a stage where she sperged out and couldn't control her powers which leads to a fight it should have been done long before that. For example, when her powers were really tested against Mattias or even when Bharva shows up on the island and unlocks Rega's true power. Maybe Ayano couldn't handle the fresh conversion to real witch and we had to drain the excess emotions via a fight (similar to a tuning battle in SG) etc.
The Althea route version of that chapter makes more sense with the rest of the narrative too because she only just recently joined and doesn't particularly like Roland or the rest of the witches so its believable that she'd try to ditch. In fact that's exactly what she tries to do in her own variant before they shoe horn in the stupidest fricking misunderstanding in the entire LA/Stella Glow subseries to force a fight with Althea.

Because Fatima only recently joined and doesn't like the rest of the witches. And we know that Fatima spends basically the entire game going, I will never like you because you're inferior to your dad etc.
>I never played Infinity but i heard that its terrible.
Infinity is legit terrible.
Imageepoch didn't work on it for starters, and the "singing" by the girls aren't remotely on the same level as the songs in Stella Glow.
The Harbingers annoyed me the whole game because they're so transparently going to be twist good guys, except they're a bunch of psychotic dumbasses who never try to explain their actions. At least Hilda made up for it by being a solid party member, but I chose Sakuya and Giselle as Alto's waifus for my two playthroughs.
>make the perfect side heroine >can't get an ending with her and needs to die so alto can retake the throne
It was so fricking unfair I loved this dorky queen
>childhood friend
Eh I never really got that vibe since they didn't grow up together. The whole arc about Lisette being dead weight because of her conflicted feelings felt incredibly superfluous to me since they just met 3 years ago.
Reminder that she met Also when she was 14, grow up with him in the same house for 3 years, and was the only boy around her age in the village, it would've been weird if she didn't develop any feelings towards him
Alright I'm done for today.
Gonna continue next week for the final missions and save scumming for pre-final battle scenes and all endings.
Can't believe I've been playing for 40 hours.
I expected this to be a 30-35 hour ish game
Him with max Bond is great (Mov+2 and YOU SHALL NOT PASS passive), but there's no reason to use him over Rusty, Nonoka and now Giselle.
There's no reason to play passively/defensively when you can just go full offense and rape everything.
>93 hours
Wew lad. It took me around 70 hours total to clear the game and then breeze through it again for NG+. >save scumming for pre-final battle scenes and all endings.
I did that too. One save before you choose who to hang out with before the final showdown and one save before dealing the final blow to the final boss so you can choose your ending. The game really could've used more save slots.
Etrian Odyssey 3
You can try 7th Dragon 2020 and 2020-II since the chibi models make them look like nendoroids, but Shirow Miwa's art for the portraits can be hit or miss.
It's a genuinely good trope-y game.
SRPG gameplay is kind of barebones but also simple enough for the most part.
There are some lategame issues like no speed toggle on enemy phase, but the characters are fairly likeable to compensate and the story is overall well-maintained and consistent with its own lore.
OST is also good.
>be Elmar >be the evilest looking motherfricker in the room >continually be rude to newer party members >eventually just mellows out >never betrays you >restores your good name when the child are down
Tier list purely for combat: >Giselle, Rusty, Nonoka, >Alto(lategame), Hilda, Sakuya > Popo, Archibald (maxed out), Lissete for max songs >Veronica, Mordimort, Dante >Dorothy, Ewan (except for very final skill) >Keith
been thinking of replaying this since it's been a while. the best way to cheese the game on a NG+ file is to insta max rusty, archibald and nonoka right?
Archibald kind of falls off later regardless since speed = god in this game.
He can keep up with max bond's +2 move and his weapon that gives him another turn if you kill something, but Rusty and Nonoka will leave him and pretty much everyone else in the dust.
He still hits hard and defender procs are useful in certain claustrophobic maps where anyone who is not rusty/nonka cannot move far away nor climb and they stay huddled

From my experience archibald cheeses the early game since his final upgrade gives him one move which makes him mobile enough to catch up with your units and his skills deal plenty of damage on top of his protect. besides there's not much else to spend time with early game.
The only units i remember being shit regardless of max ranking them is colin and the eyepatch archer guy.
I liked the little capitalist, but Ewan really just can't keep up unless you level grind in Mordi's dreamscape by killing the boss's clones (which scale with the average level of the current active team) inifinitely so that he can oneshot everything later with Ink Bullet.
Keith is just plain dogshit with an awful design.
I think the idea with Keith was to make a defensive archer who specializes on inflicting ailments. Which was a dumb idea since ailments do jack shit in this game.
>since ailments do jack shit in this game.
The lowest iq anon itt.
Keith isn't bad for his status focus, he's bad because he's slow, low mobility, low damage, and has no real benefits over Nonoka.
One Alegro ealry on and one witch with movement ring and they will be next to him so he can conduct for one turn and then he kills the enemies where they are stopped, have no actions or Alto has super crit.
Imageepoch didn't develop Infinity.
If anything, the studio was going under thanks to bad investments. Thankfully, SEGA released Stella Glow along with 7th Dragon VFD (still worse than the 2020 PSP games) after the company truly went bankrupt.
I feel like Stella Glow was a direct result of what was going on at Imageepoch at the time. I consider Stella Glow to be a true kind of swan song for that entire company, and at their end of life they managed to put out something that was remembered.
Poetic.
It's a damn shame because the company made some nice games I genuinely enjoyed: Arc Rise Fantasia, 7th Dragon 2020 and 2020-II, Stella Glow, etc.

It's kinda sad.
Nah, that's what draws you in. The bizarre fusion of idol shit and Madoka is what hooks you, and decently fun game that scratches that TTBRPG itch plus cute girls is what keeps you playing.
I didn't even do the pregnancy ending because the girl you impregnate is moronic.
I started Stella Glow with the promise of Hilda myself because I liked LA2's Fatima.
Popo came out of nowhere for me. I honestly expected the twintail flattie blonde to like any other girl of her archetype but her vibrant attitude hiding a massive well of insecurity was compelling. She was great.
Is there any change of a remaster/remake/port of this game with QoL in the future? I want to replay it but I remember how much of a log it is at certain times.
Frick, rip.
Played the game a few years ago, got lucky with true ending in my first run with no guides. Just checked my save file and it's on the final boss, do I need to finish the battle to start a NG+? I don't see the option in the menu. I do remember beating her before though.
It should give you the option to start a NG+ when you beat the game, as I recall.
I think the NG+ feature is awkwardly implemented though. It gives you boosted exp when the game is already well balanced around the NG exp curve, so you end up massively overpowered through the entire game and it becomes a pure cakewalk. It's a shame that it's the only way to get almost everything done during the free time segments in a single run.
Max the absolutely trustworthy spearman before he becomes too busy absolutely helping you bts was one. I think I remember there was a robowaifu choice associated to it too.
In two of those cases, the OP song is actually the true final boss theme.
Though in Stella Glow's case, I like the regular final boss theme more. Eve's song is cute, haunting and a good boss theme all in one.
No idea but it's pretty good once you get over the play fair phase and accept that the combat was designed to be cheesed to all end. Make a separate save before the last extra optional missions, doing them on main save trivializes the Final Boss.
Gatling Elf best girl
I was already warming up to the guy when he was piggybacking the princess back to the castle.
Speaking of, frick, I was getting pretty attached to the city's npcs between the orb shop's owner and daughter and the bartender.
Holy shit, an actual Stella Glow thread that's fully about the game and not just a "muh villainess sex" circlejerk! Never thought I'd see the day; guess this board is alright sometimes.
Thanks for reminding me it's been too long since I replayed this masterpiece, lads. Also thanks for posting so much art, I have way too little Stella Glow stuff saved. Popo best girl.
>"muh villainess sex" circlejerk
I'd typically be all for villainesses but the fact they're brandishing Hilda as their postergirl always rubbed me the wrong way. I wouldn't even consider her a villainess, she's just a well-intentioned extremist who is an antagonist for 2/3 of the game and is well on the path to redeeming herself by the time she gets railed.
>pushing Hilda as their postergirl
Happened for that one Tony Taka Shining game that made it to the west. The white haired girl with black armor was totally going to be romance-able too.
Just remember, as you said, only 1 Stella Glow copypasta image is actually accurate and it's pic-related.
They come for villainess impreg and stay for whatever flavor of broken girl appeals to a given anon's heart bones.
/v/irgins are suckers for broken girls.
>appeals to a given anon's heart bones.
There's an entire genre of visual novels just dedicated to giving severe doses of idyllic romance. It's like a drug.
Anon, everyone's a little broken, but especially girls. Why? Because girls are stupid. When you run into a girl who's trying to "fix" something, you eventually begin to realize her girl brain is never able to properly solve whatever it is that is vexing her. Girls need masculine energy from men not necessarily to fix their problems, as there will be varying degrees of success to this, but to keep their out of control feminine energies in check and contained. The "I can fix her" sentiment is a man's desire to give a woman form and stability. Sadly, the modern era doesn't encourage true love through the fusion of polarizing energies, in this case, the masculine and the feminine. You have a bunch of men who are traitors at the drop of a hat and women who refuse to let a man protect her. While Alto isn't by any means an interesting character, Stella Glow did a tasteful job of having him mature; when the stakes rose, he hardened up and became more firm and confident in his journey. He never was a moronic manchild, but there is a tone shift in his focus and drive later in the game.
There's much to say on the topic of attraction and love, but by loving an (always) broken girl, you learn to love a part of yourself that is broken that you either never loved or never noticed. When there is no scheming in love, love is always pure. There is much scheming in the modern world when it comes to love. By learning the difference, you can navigate the evils of the modern world and create a healthy, happy family should you be blessed by such a gift of running into the "right" woman.
A man's choice in women is a reflection of himself. Is the yandere attractive to you because she pays attention to you, and you don't? Is the tsundere attractive to you because she can be mean and you can't? Does a woman who's lie is a smile complete you because you never smile and maybe that's a lie and you don't know it? Love is blind, Black person.
Althea is with you the longest but I always preferred Fatima.
Unlike Hilda, Fatima doesn't really budge for you until like 3/4ths of the way in and even then not so much. I just like her design that much.
Dia was cool but I don't I think remember her getting all that affectionate.
Luna was the tit monster of the crew so you got obligatory fanservice with her but not much else.
Pop actually did some development but I never did like her.
I remember people liking Sadie because of her deadpan snark but once again, I didn't care much.
Stella Glow did characterizaton way better. For one it did bother to cut down on the cast a little better. LA2's cast was bigger iirc.
Interesting, I might actually have to play Luminous Arc now it's always been on my mind but the Hilda prototype seems cute enough.
I played LA2 some time after Stella Glow and found the game just average. Pretty much Stella Glow but worse in every aspect. I think the most interesting moment was Althea going absolutely nuclear when MC chose Fatima over her. Luna and Sadie were pretty cute.
>final boss is god >god is the moon >actually a wish-granting supercomputer made by ancient humans >turned on the world after absorbing too much negative feelings >decided the best way to grant peoples wishes was genocide >will wake up to cull the population if there are too many people >also its interface is a scary e-girl
It's very Gurren Lagann. Hilda is literally female Lordgenome, a former warrior who fought to save humanity but lost, and who now keeps the population in check as a villain to protect them because they know the true genocidal force is right around the corner if they don't.
I personally think that Stella Glow has one of the best "shit has hit the fan" moments in video games. It just feels like absolute chaos when the Eclipse happens, and the game showing you NPCs you knew being involved in it just made it hit even more.
Everything falling apart and not even the cast can maintain composure was part of why the twist hit so well for me.
Not that it lasted all that long but just because of the fact it happened.
>posted a moronic stella glow thread yesterday >archived in 3-4 posts
well at least yours is alive.
Also frick. I guess i really have to ng+ just to obtain the hilda ending.
I'm a sucker for taming b***hes. Her ending is basically her telling all her idolgay otaku fans she's retiring from the biz to be with her hot boyfriend, it's great.
Conception got an anime, which is beyond me.
I'm not going to pretend like I know how that game plays out as far as its plot goes but SG might just have a little too much plot for its own good to be a 12 episode anime.
Yeah, that's hard cause the NPCs can cause the bosses to move towards youy (and extra condition has you battle a boss). If you go to the left and kill groups o f angels and let the npcs handle south and east, it is pretty easy
What, you wouldn't 1v1 your mother's killer to trick him into thinking you're the real Earth Witch instead of your sister, even if it cost you your life? Coward.
Honestly the gameplay is the main thing that keeps me from trying it out. I like the designs since it's made by the rune factory artist but the gameplay filters me.
On a closing note, I find it weird that the game calls Giselle an "artificial angel." The angels you fight in game sure as hell don't look or act organic being constructs of Mother Qualia.
LA games are pretty standalone.
No matter how much I like Fatima's outfit, Stella Glow is just better at using its characters, especially the heroines. It has way stronger story beats too. LA2 is just Stella Glow but worse.
But they ruined Hilda's design
That's not Hilda though
>Time Witch
Honestly it's fitting with her character development but I miss her floppy hat.
Women have the best hair right after they've given birth!
sauce for this, brother?
巣作りカリンちゃん
Suzukuri Karin-chan
Sadly western release was by shiravune so still has mosaic censor but jap got updated version. You can play english release under the name of Suzukuri Dungeon: Karin in the Mountain
the artstyle looks so ugly
Looks amazing to me.
>Sadly western release was by shiravune so still has mosaic censor but jap got updated version.
Does that mean there's a modded version without censoring?
No I mean jap version had extra content release. It was expansion. English release only has original but expanded release is jap only. There is no uncensored CG.
His name is literally "STOP" in spanish language.
Soprano – A high female (or boy’s) voice
Alto – A low female (or boy’s) voice
Tenor – A high (adult) male voice
Bass – A low (adult) male voice
>exposed DFC
Looks great. And today I wil remind them:
Best girl ranking
1. Hilda
2. Morti
3. Lisette
4. Sakuya
5. Popo
Hilda is best girl because she just loves showing those plains off, exposed DFC is her trademark
Lisette > Nonoka > Hilda > Morti > Popo > Sakuya
For me it's
Hilda > Lisette > Morti > Giselle > Nonoka > Veronica > Popo > Sakuya > Dorothy
Do you have more wallpapers with the other girls?
no sadly just Hilda
It's sad that anime artists nowadays only draw FOTM and gacha b***hes for engagement bait.
normal anime and normal games don't get fanart anymore. except some AI.
Why does she dress like she wants to show off when there's literally nothing to show off?
She's a thousand year old, she can dress however she wants.
Maybe she should have used these thousand years to grow some fricking breasts
Trying to show off her man chest is just sad
Hilda if grown up
>Dresses like this while ruling a cold, snow covered kingdom
Damn brat... needs wardrobe correction before she catches a cold...
delicious
It's kinda wild that the hat is probably the most modest thing on her outfit
Not listing ALL the girls is a sin, anon. One you will never recover from.
>time stop song
>almost everything after her song debut is immune to all status
I get that her song is broken but come on. At least you can still use upstream waltz on everything.
at least her 5-gauges songs deal huge damage to all enemies and buff your ATK. but by the time you fill 5 gauges, you would've probably killed most enemies anyway.
The only 5 bar song worth using is Levia because it trivialises resource management while its active.
Hilda/Sakuya are the only relevant witches offensively in the back half and don't want to be stuck doing song conducts. Popo/Lisette is more support oriented and Mor is bad anyway.
Nobody asked
what game?
frick you homosexual.
choke on a dick.
i didn't even play this fricking game, but if you want to drop a fricking analysis on it, please do. May god have mercy upon our souls for talking about video games.
Not that anon but
>The good
Fun strategy gameplay
Likable characters
Unique ending with every character in the game, though some endings are better than others
Very good music
>The bad
Gameplay gets really slow in the late game because there's no enemy skip option and the ai takes its sweet ass time moving every enemy
You get locked out of the true ending, the final team member, and the true final boss if you don't max out your relationship with one very specific character
Character balance isn't great. Low speed characters are just really painful to use and movement types + movement ranges can break or make some characters (thankfully the teleport ring you can get helps with this somewhat)
>mixed
The story varies. Some elements are pretty good, but some parts were just painful to sit through or just feel like drama for drama's sake.
If you want to break the game just use Nonoka. Status conditions are just so amazing in this game that her ability to just effortlessly stack them while having great speed and all around strong stats makes her amazing in pretty much every part of the game.
Nonoka + Rusty + Hilda destroy everything
Alto and Sakuya are nice all-rounder.
No need for specialized healer like Lisette. just use Popo and items.
Other characters are mid or straight up useless.
The character balance is whack.
If you want to play an older SRPG, then I recommend Jeanne D'Arc instead on PSP emulator.
That's my point, she's not going to help during the final battle anyway so why even bother leveling her?
Lisette's songs are the only ones worth using in the endgame because enemies are pretty much immune to Popo/Hilda's ailments, Sakuya has better things to do like actually hit things with her high offensive stats and Mordimort is kind of bad anyway.
Also, she has some fairly good weapons and the Hip Drop move for whatever reason has the same damage modifier as Alto's ultimate.
>God Tier: Rusty, Nonoka, Hilda
>Good Tier: Alto, Sakuya, Giselle(?)
>Okay Tier: Most of the Rest
>Meh Tier: Klaus, Mordi
>Oh Shit, Son, What Are You Doing Tier: Ewan, Keith
>*quadruple hit your ass*
swap rusty and nonoka. rusty isn't broken by any stretch of the imagination and I don't know why that became a meme beyond "dude movement lmao". he's solid but does not belong in the tier with a character that can spam the best aoe in the game and teleport or one that can 100% proc stop and other broken ailments.
Double Clutch
Backstab
Knife Throw
oh, and Counter, Parry, High Jump
all worse than darkhale metric and stop/delay/negate action lockdown.
Rusty is broken because he has high speed, movement , damage and decent defensive stats.
The shota was such a random addition.
There are normal plotless battles but they will put you too far ahead of the curve if you do them all even if you are one of those "use every character equally" gay. Especially the 3DS Podometer Coin ones at the end that can easily give you 2 levels per kill. And there are a lot of enemies to kill.
>good tier
>sakuya
you mean popo
Based. She's fun to use, too. I just wish her movement was a bit better.
Swallow your own shit, you mongrel.
Would anyone know how to use a ng+ file for the hshop undub version? Tried using two ng+ files i got from an anon here, pretty sure they are for the undub, and restoring them in with Checkpoint, but when starting the game up I got an error that the save files were corrupted.
Is the Undub based on the Japanese ver.? Try finding a Japanese save if so.
I'm not sure exactly, but I could try.
Not using citra, have a hacked 3ds
That's the post I got the save files from.
I don't know
but I think there's another format for hacked 3DS?
I forgot which is which
The format's the same, at the least they're both .bin files. I tried playing a bit and saving at the first opportunity then backing up the new save in Checkpoint to confirm. If I can't figure it out I might switch over to my pc and citra, but I'd prefer to play it on the ds.
I mean the format of the game file
I think Decripted is for Citra
CIA is for 3DS
Ah, yeah, that is so. I could see that mucking up save stuff then. Guess I'll have to see if i can find another save somewhere.
>Undub
I'd consider replaying if they fix the awful pacing of battles in the late game too.
Posting best girl.
Mordi wins the competition for having the best theme out of the 2nd set of songs.
I actually prefer Popo's
Popo's is okay.
That's Sakuya.
"Sakuya" is part of the lyrics of Sakuya's song
I guess she does have Mor problems than the other girls.
>named Voldemort
>is the worst of the mages
You hate to see it.
On my Witches Only run Butterfly Dream saved my butt more than I care to admit.
Man was the witchless mission a blast with my party unleveled as frick, thanks Archibald.
Literally just place the save file in the Citra folder I forgot where it's in the C:USer something. just google it.
Im playing undubbed NG+ for 9 Free Time points
Wait. Is this game one of those where they lock all QoL behind NG+ and force you to play through shittier NG for no reason other than padding?
NG+ you retain your money plus you get 9 chances to "social link" instead of 3 per "Free Time" period.
You can't max out everyone's bonds in NG
So why are there people starting this game fresh on NG+ files? Apparently NG is worse?
You can't max in NG and the game itself is too slow for 99% of people to want to play NG+ for a few CGs.
so we can max bonds with every character
I personally hate NG+. The experience gain is massively boosted so you get way too powerful and trivialize the game immediately. Sucks that it's practically the only way to tune all the girls while having enough time to do other shit too.
Only money transfers over.
All free time slots are multiplied by 3, hence allowing the player to fully max out all bonds and get all character-specific exploration items provided you plan them out autistically.
>character-specific exploration items
what the frick is that?
To be specific:
In NG+ you can max 2 out of the 3:
>Character affinity
>Part time jobs
>Unique exploreation items
Most chapters have at least 1 unique item/accessory you get by exploring multiple times.
The only really good ones are the last 2 chapters IMO.
You can plan up to chapter 8 to get some exploration unqiuye items since you can max part time job and character affection to full by middle of chapter 7-8 and have to spend like 12 free time points exploring, but it's too much planning for ok rewards
Dunno about 3DS games having mods but is there none that give you enough time to max all 3?
There's an action replay code for it apparently if you're willing to try that.
Even better if it works. Thanks.
https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/3ds/865514-stella-glow/faqs/74652
ctrl+f: explore
Raising (and maxing) bond unlocks passives per level.
The witches gain new forms at max as well as the corresponding witch levels for you to fight in prior.
Wach charactee has an associated accesory tjat you can only get by exploribg. They aren't anything special for the most part but they are flavorful.
Not using citra, on a hacked 3ds
That's an old ass save from 2016 when I doubt citra could run the game.
Plenty of thinsg can transfer from cita to 3ds and vice versa
Well that's the save I tried, couldn't get it working, all I care about is the free time to be able to max bond everyone for which the cheat suffices.
Was excited to try this. Really was a kick in the head when it turned out to be another tactics RPG after I just finished 6 mostly shit Fire Emblem games.
Sakura being a turbo-b***h that remains that way throughout was great, now I understand the Yukarigays from Persona 3.
Yukari was a whiny b***h.
Sakura was a tsundere done right.
great taste anon, weird niche weeb games rarely dissapoint
There's actually not a single good game in your pic related.
it's OK, we love you even if you have shit taste
post the villainess pregs
I mean she's not a villain anymore by the time she and Alto (potentially) get hitched. Unless you count the fanfiction she writes about herself
DQXI's only major flaw is the Calasmos grind.
>DQXI's only major flaw is the Calasmos grind.
and Act 3
I didn't play act 3
I pretend that end of act 2 is the real ending, it's a perfect bittersweet ending.
frick time travel that remove all consequence
I'll give you that I forgot Serena's regression too, but it's really just the arbitrary grinding that fricks it up. Everything is suddenly balanced 10 levels ahead and if you overshoot in your metal slime farming, the game becomes a joke.
I just can't decide what part of this image is the worst, because almost all of it pretty fricking bad.
But I'm going to go with Growlanser. Growlanser fricking sucks.
let me guess, persona fan? (I agree growlanser sucks)
I guess? Old Persona were just decentish SMT games that were easier than I would like, but I enjoyed the characters and plot quite a bit, and new Persona is much the same, but just with more mediocre VN sections that make for a really weird, but kind of novel, pacing.
For me it's a series of 7s or 8s out of 10, don't know if that makes me a "fan" or not, but I've played them all at least.
personally really liked 2 and 3, 4 was fun and I liked it but it felt too formulaic and the characters were I guess overly sympathetic, p5 on the other hand was pure shit imo, liked it ok starting up but the characters narrative pace and repetitive bombastic visuals ruined it for me, just awful, hence it goes on top of the list, its breaindead easy too
love popos first song where she seems to want to kill herself, all the songs are great the game does an amazing job with them
Screw you guys, Growlanser is great, even if SRPGs aren't your thing. It has some of the most fun gameplay I've experienced in a JRPG.
I remember playing the one on PSP then getting filtered because a lot of the events are hidden without a guide
Bro, I love Mary Skelter but their was so little plot in 3 that you have to read a novel to know what the frick happened. Also, 2 was just complete filler to introduce two new characters.
Them being lesbians wasn't an issue, it wouldn't make since if one of them wasn't a girl.
>but their was
THERE WAS, you fricking mongrel. THERE WAS.
128 iq and loved chrono trigger, have a nice day
the chart doesnt account for your crippling autism anon
>Chart for JRPGs
>Doesn't account for autism
Well then what use is it?
>atelier
Very accurate. Each time I play Atelier I lose brain cells so the surplus IQ is a must for maximum enjoyment
what if I enjoyed at least one game in each category from this image?
>Dragon Quest X and Xenoblade Chronicles 3 (would like to do Suikoden and Chrono Trigger one day)
>liked Legend of Heroes and Dark Souls although I wouldn't consider the latter much a RPG though (Xenosaga and Breath of Fire are also in my backlog)
>liked Disgaea and Mary Skelter (didn't do Sakura Taisen yet)
>liked Blue Reflection and Ar Tonelico
>a big fan of Atelier games except Ryza (plan on playing Growlanser and that Touhou RPG too)
its OK to enjoy games for dummies anon, I myself like pokemon platinum and dislike growlanser
if one chart isn't enough to get your point across, five more charts isn't going to do you any favors. ain't looking at that shit.
the only ones that are not available on pc are moero crystal and lover kiss
where's disgaea
>senran kagura reflexions
whats that, a titty ninja dating sim?
dating sim/massage simulator, its ok for what it is
aokana PC version has full nudity sex scenes what the frick do you mean its uncensored on the switch?
image is misleading, it's the all ages version of the game that was censored further in the ps4 and I think it was forbidden release on the uk, so technically the switch version is uncensored, same deal with nekopara
>forbidden release on the uk
>switch
>exclusive
KEK, I can play all these games at a better quality on my PC
I only play on Saturday and Sunday since I'm too tired to open my laptop after work during weekdays (I only play Switch during bus commute)
I'm currently at the final mission of Chapter 10.
I'm gonna play until halfway of the final chapter today, like 5-6 hours, then finish the game next week, then move on to... I don't know... one of these.
any recommendation?
none of those is that good, maybe witch spring, I'd recommend to play some other weeb game from the top list, also play in original hardware, I find myself quickly losing interest/motivation when I emulate on a pc
I've played ALL Atelier games no exception.
Mary Skelter I hate it I can't into dungeon crawler.
DQ XI was shit but it was also fun for most of the early parts, kinda braindead tho so it goes at the top of the lost
your hard mode?
Am I the only one who didn't enjoy Bond Events with the girls? All of them are so boring, the writer can't write girls for shit.
Only Bond Events with the dudes are actually entertaining since they have more personality and natural connection/friendship with you instead of just being your personal onahole like the 5 witches.
That's the result of writing characters as waifu bait. You gotta hit all those familiar tropes that appeal to as many people as possible.
For me it's Levia
I loved Levia in game but every now and then I find myself whistling the fast paced part of Volt Shower.
YOU
CAN'T
SAVE
HER
>quality harem
>game is boring as frick
There are many like Stella Glow but it is one of the most
Give me some games where the harem is good and the game is good then. I love Stella Glow.
Club Bifrost
any Rance game
no, Rance isn't a VN.
Ignore any moron reccing Rance. Biggest meme game on Ganker
Rean games are more boring and there are 5 games (as of now).
Rean's girls are the most boring part too.
Honestly I liked most of it, but the combat is so mind-numbingly slow and you can't even speed it up on emu because then you have to give up listening to the songs.
Just download them and play them on the side
There's no hope for an HD version of this game outside of Citra, is there? I remember being drawn in by the Hilda ending pic that kept being posted here and genuinely enjoyed the game enough to actually buy a physical copy even though I pirated it on my hacked 3DS
How has this one game remained consistently remembered by Ganker
is it really just being able to frick the evil woman that does it?
People only know of it thanks to the meme ending picture and even then most people don't even know what game it's from.
I wouldn't say consistently remembered, but it's gotten a small cult following here for sure (which I'm 99% sure exists because people keep getting baited into playing the game by the ending pic like
said)
It doesn't get brought up as Ganker-core very often but it feels more Ganker-core than most games that get referenced as being """/v/-core"""
No.
it's because I've been making Stella Glow thread every weekend in the past month or so since I've been playing the game.
Next week will be the last.
Anon people have been discussing the game on and off since release. It didn't just start existing because you just played it.
Well shit, I haven't noticed.
Sorry anon, I would have loved to discuss this game with you.
I don't know about the other folks, but in my case, it was the first time an RPG made me cry. I also vibe very much with the soundtrack, it's stellar.
Sell me this game
Use any argument other than "you can inseminate the villaness"
It has a decently executed twist about half-way through the game.
It has good songs that are a core part of its gameplay.
Sakuya is so much better and sexier than the rest.
+ you get free Nonoka as a bonus as well.
The Top 3 were always Hilda, Popo, and Sakuya.
One for 1000 years of pent up sexual frustration, the other for just happy energy, and the other because she's a bombshell.
One of my favorite things about Hilda is that her songs sound like they came from the golden age of anime. Understandable since she's 1000 years old.
Probably helps that she's FRICKING YUKARI TAMURA.
Lisette has the best singing voice (Fripside)
>Lisette has the best singing voice (Fripside)
She also sings in Symphogear starting with Season 2 (G)
How good is the fanservice?
none.
There's 1 onsen scene though.
Tuning is metaphor for sex
>sex metaphor
Ok I'm playing it after I'm done with Ar Tonelico
It's pretty much notAr Tonelico, but without Hynmos.
I haven't played the game in a few years but there is a hot springs scene where the character portraits wear bath towels in that glorious 3DS resolution. That particular plotline involves the MC and another character trying to stop a third character from peeping in on the girls and all three getting caught.
decent
I feel mixed on the twist. It's fine but I'm not a big fan of the segment of gameplay that comes after, and that section where you lose your party just feels forced.
I love that you can see the complete shape of Sakuya's breasts through her gown in this image
Her legs too, my god
It's a solid enough strategy RPG with a good artstyle and serviceable story. My biggest issues were no jukebox and that battles are very slow with no speed up function.
it has soul
>tfw Veronica used to be FLAT but became busty after 5000 years of eating angels

I want to lick all over her stinky unwashed millennium pussy

>1000+ years of sexual frustration
>Impregnated within 3 months of the ending
Hilda is the best.
>"Tuning" is sex metaphor
>Final boss is little girl
>"I should be able to tune it, right!"
Based
this game was way better than it had any right to be
everything about it meant it should have been a 6/10 but in reality it was a really good 9/10
childhood friend ending is best ,too
the whole was greater than the sum of its parts, all its mediocre aspects are elevated by how well executed the game is
I didn't expect the betrayal
>magical fantasy is actually post-apocalyptic
I like Harvestella
harvestella was an interesting game I couldn't bring myself to finish
i dont, i find it ugly as sin
how it that compared to Rune Factory?
This game had some raw moments that caught me off guard
>Mayor Ugly Bastard using Popo's wind powers to run his secret drug farm
>Everyone nearly dying in a volcanic eruption after Sakuya's powers fail
>Mordi building an entire city and people out of mud to deal with trauma
>Mass crystallization of entire towns and cities
>Everything about Xeno and the motherfricking moon
>The game was post-apocalyptic all along
Been a long time since I've last been able to come across a Stella Glow thread, so might as well post songs for Anons:
https://mega.nz/file/EYUhDajQ#HukNfCIeh-7ZZl1ns0fDTB4Rhf9APbGgyIIuexLHduY
thanks anon
btw wouldn't you or anyone happen to have the flac version of the opening theme? i know its in pic rel 18 - MORE album by suzuki konomi
frick off MKL
I love high maintenance b***hes like Sakuya. not irl thougheverbeit.
Did you notice Alto's room getting more decorated with each new party member
It's stuff like this that made the game kino. It's honesly a shame we will never see a prequel.
its always the small things that make you appreciate the game.
we need more Medea
I vaguely remember her touching Alto's face at the end of her conversation line. Was cute. She said to stop hitting on her and go hit on witches.
>don't have the free time to actually hang out and seduce the side girls until NG+
They were all really good too.
AAAAAAIIIIEEEE WHERE'S RUSTY, ALTO AND NONOKA???? I HATE FORCED SPECIFIC DEPLOYMENT SO MUCH
You have Hilda right there bro the map is over
I was pretty interested in this game until I found out one of the main heroines is an idol. Completely ruined the game for me.
Said idol renounces it and kisses her boyfriend (you) in front of everyone on stage.
God I love receptionist girl in any game so much
Why are their ahoges the same? Is it Fate?
>No ending with her
Fricking tease us why don't you?
I think at one point, Sakuya refers to Nonoka as "breasts for brains", which is funny.
>boss = (You)
KINOOOOOOOOO
ENTER CHADTO
I can literally hear the music
Mor is great because she can summon clay doll trap that bait enemy 100% of the time.
Hilda in particular is just a e-girlfied version of one of the main heroines of 2 (and stupider too)
>Luminous Arc
is that actuall good?
1 is rough around the edges
2 is Stella Glow 0
3 is a middle ground between 1 and 2 while also being the hardest one gameplay wise. Its kind of grindy because of the way it handles new equipment.
I never played Infinity but i heard that its terrible.
>Nintendo DS
>same dev as stella glow
I'll look it up
If you're only going to play LA2 once pick Althea. Fatima's route has a late game chapter that makes no fricking sense with the rest of the game.
Fatima's route has Althea sperg out over being cucked though
I don't know who tf is that but I wanna impregnate that witch
>a late game chapter that makes no fricking sense with the rest of the game.
Is there even a PSVita emulator?
there is, not sure how far along it is
There was a tech demo that played a single digit amount of games in a less that acceptable way a few years back. Sasuga VN Handheld.
>I never played Infinity but i heard that its terrible.
Infinity is legit terrible.
Imageepoch didn't work on it for starters, and the "singing" by the girls aren't remotely on the same level as the songs in Stella Glow.
why tho? is the gameplay worse? it seemed like people just overreacted to the idol cutesy fanservice way it went
gotta be over 18 to post in this website
It's Luminous Arc 2 Squared.
it wasn't supposed to work in the long run, just delay the inevitable
she couldn't kill eve and people stopped listening to her so she said frick it
"The enemy of my enemy is my friend, or whatever's close to that."
Nah I was actually really disappointed by Hilda too since the pregnancy thing was the entire reason I picked up the game. Giselle and Popo best girls.
goodbye robot waifu
This fight took me like 30 minutes with so many enemies on screen.
Please what game?
Stella Glow gay
Thank you friend
sex with all of them except Dorothy
wtf alright I guess this is gonna be a really long final chapter
>5 x 9 Free time
that's super excessive.
You can always end free time at Alto's room if you want
>Sakuya
Better taste than the average Ganker poster. Keep it up anon
>Can't kill dante in the prologue
What a waste of time
Can someone post Sakuya's disgusted face sprite?
I love Sakuya so much
nonoka does things to me
Literally built for paizuri
I wish her ending tried to be do something more wholesome than just doubling down on the fanservice aspect of Nonoka. She deserves real love.
Caligula 2 is a better "singing" game
However, Hilda is the best girl.
sex with robot
Is this better than Luminous Arc 3?
Personally, yes. I enjoyed it more than LA3.
Why did they do it, bros?
I could have saved her...
she's a useless prostitute
>Her only regret was that she couldn't travel with you
L O N D O N
>make the perfect side heroine
>can't get an ending with her and needs to die so alto can retake the throne
It was so fricking unfair I loved this dorky queen
Maybe I'm just the most vanilla man alive, but I can't say no to a childhoodfriend that's madly in love with the protag
I get you.
It's a shame their ending kind of sucked.
>childhood friend
Eh I never really got that vibe since they didn't grow up together. The whole arc about Lisette being dead weight because of her conflicted feelings felt incredibly superfluous to me since they just met 3 years ago.
Reminder that she met Also when she was 14, grow up with him in the same house for 3 years, and was the only boy around her age in the village, it would've been weird if she didn't develop any feelings towards him
Dorothy is so ugly
>tfw just realized she was from London
of fricking course everything was angloid's fault all along
>max
You're not going for her ending, roight m8?
DAYUM WHY CAN'T I ROMANCE HER?
I have everyone maxed
HMMMM
NICE
done with part time job
6 free action left
Alright I'm done for today.
Gonna continue next week for the final missions and save scumming for pre-final battle scenes and all endings.
Can't believe I've been playing for 40 hours.
I expected this to be a 30-35 hour ish game
>archibald that low-leveled
bruh
93 hours was 54 hours other anon's clear save file + 39 hourrs of my NG+ playthrough.
oke recommend me some good e-girl games for any older console or pc i played a few vita ones i liked
Etrian Odyssey 3
You can try 7th Dragon 2020 and 2020-II since the chibi models make them look like nendoroids, but Shirow Miwa's art for the portraits can be hit or miss.
Eiyuu Senki, Dohna Dohna, Soreyuke! Burunyan-man Ecstasy.
Eiyuu Senki is fricking trash.
It was ok at first but it got really fricking repetitive.
just go replay Sengoku Rance or Kichikuou Rance instead
>Kichikuou Rance
It's nice but gameplay is cancer if you attacked more than one kingdom.
Is it worth playing besides de cute girls? I wanted to play Luminous Arc Infinity.
OST is also good.
>be Elmar
>be the evilest looking motherfricker in the room
>continually be rude to newer party members
>eventually just mellows out
>never betrays you
>restores your good name when the child are down
Based chancellor.
*chips
Autocorrect a shit.
Biggest surprise of the game. Really.
You can't save her
I know I cannot, but at least years after the fact it was datamined that she had an ending.
Can you grind? I like my party to be all at the same level.
Yea you can got the world map and grind random battle. there's no point in doing that it'll just burn you out. Just pick your main and keep playing.
Thanks for reminding me I still haven't played LA3. Is there a TL project for the last one yet?
is Ewan a reverse trap or not?
during bath scene, his chest is covered up
Ewan's a guy.
ideolo just can't or simply doesn't draw shota bodies.
Tier list purely for combat:
>Giselle, Rusty, Nonoka,
>Alto(lategame), Hilda, Sakuya
> Popo, Archibald (maxed out), Lissete for max songs
>Veronica, Mordimort, Dante
>Dorothy, Ewan (except for very final skill)
>Keith
I remwmber the part time jobs being a thing but what was the overall reward for them? I went for bonds and items only.
https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/3ds/865514-stella-glow/faqs/74417?page=2#Part%20Time%20Jobs
Blazing Light>Reddened Galaxy>Dark Labyrinth>Fiery Night>Levia>Ice World>Cherry Blossom>Rust Key>To the Sea> Volt Shower
>blazing light anywhere at the top
Yukari Tamura can't sing for SHIT
>Volt Shower at the bottom
Awful taste
All the songs are great but for some reason both of Mordi gets mixed in my head when I try to recall them.
been thinking of replaying this since it's been a while. the best way to cheese the game on a NG+ file is to insta max rusty, archibald and nonoka right?
Archibald kind of falls off later regardless since speed = god in this game.
He can keep up with max bond's +2 move and his weapon that gives him another turn if you kill something, but Rusty and Nonoka will leave him and pretty much everyone else in the dust.
Nonoka and Rusty yes, but why Archibald? I know his last perk is pretty good but he is still meh
You max them anyway easily cause early on you have few characters to spend time with in NG+
I never use Song since my party is strong enough and my Alto is always too busy blitzkrieging everything to Conduct.
One Alegro ealry on and one witch with movement ring and they will be next to him so he can conduct for one turn and then he kills the enemies where they are stopped, have no actions or Alto has super crit.
wtf this soulful game killed the dev?
no wonder moege JRPG have gone extinct. they don't fricking sell.
The 2020 games were peak 7th Dragon. Although 2020-II was a bit too rehashy.
is this game any good?
tt looks like ReZero garbage
>spike chunsoft
Don't.
frick no it has no gameplay, the story is shit and the writing is cringe.
No. Garbage to go through main gameplay, kid squads are not fun, characters barely interact with each other
Bretty good if you like harems and dungeon crawlers. You make party units with the heroine with lewd hand holding.
not really
So from this thread I found these moekusoge franchise
>Luminous Arc
>7th Dragon
>Conception
and apparently all of them are trash
7th dragon has little to do with moe, more like a more tedious Etrian Odyssey without as fun team building/encounters but more plot
>7th dragon
>trash
shit taste
4 homies in a row and dungeon crawler are just boring.
Someone please post the save file ng+ for the undub version.
https://www.mediafire.com/file/hkgazn5f8ky8a6p/Stella_Glow_%2528USA%2529_Undub_Decrypted_NG%252B_Saves_Ganker.7z/file
you don't actually need SaveBin2
And how do I install it on my 3DS, in which folder?
literally google them you lazy frick

It actually worked, I thought it was gonna brick my console or something like that, thanks.
>An actual vidya thread lasted so long
Weird.
don't worry
the troony jannies had an offsite meeting so there weren't as many to delete legit discussion threads while encouraging bait threads
they'll get back to it soon

It's a shame the artist for this game never worked on anything as big as Stella Glow ever again I really liked their artstyle.
dorothy best girl!
>Men so desperate to feel the warmth of having a fimily, they play an entire long-ass JRPG just for a single CG of the protag starting a family.
>The bizarre fusion of idol shit and Madoka is what hooks you
or Symphogear
I started for the villainess memes, but kept playing to make the traumatized pitybait girl who keeps a genki mask on truly happy.
I started for the villainess memes and kept playing for everyone else. Hilda is still my favorite though
Literally worst girl
What does Stella Glow even mean?
It should've been Qualia Glow
Because the moon is glowing or something
Is there any change of a remaster/remake/port of this game with QoL in the future? I want to replay it but I remember how much of a log it is at certain times.
Company that made it is dead so probably not unless fans do it.
It's a shame that it's the only way to get almost everything done during the free time segments in a single run.
meant chance, not change
What were the requirements for the true ending? I had to max someone but I don't remember who.
Max out Klaus as much as the game allows you to, the cut off is around the middle of the game and shortly after you awaken all the witches.
Max the absolutely trustworthy spearman before he becomes too busy absolutely helping you bts was one. I think I remember there was a robowaifu choice associated to it too.
>Despite not being mc ends with a harem
How did he do it bros

In two of those cases, the OP song is actually the true final boss theme.
Though in Stella Glow's case, I like the regular final boss theme more. Eve's song is cute, haunting and a good boss theme all in one.
>Lord of Magna
Is this already playable on Citra? Last time I saw the compatible list, its still unable to run.
No idea, I played it on my pirated 2ds XL
No idea but it's pretty good once you get over the play fair phase and accept that the combat was designed to be cheesed to all end.
Make a separate save before the last extra optional missions, doing them on main save trivializes the Final Boss.
Gatling Elf best girl
Obligatory Elmar was awesome post.
>evil looking advisor is actually a good guy
This doesn't happen often enough
I was already warming up to the guy when he was piggybacking the princess back to the castle.
Speaking of, frick, I was getting pretty attached to the city's npcs between the orb shop's owner and daughter and the bartender.
>tfw this kicks in as Elmar is inspiring the people to regain their support of the tuning knights as they fight to protect the kingdom
Hilda had the best song events I can still remember hearing ice world for the first time.
Don't mind me. Just glad a Stella Glow thread survived the night.
Just remember, as you said, only 1 Stella Glow copypasta image is actually accurate and it's pic-related.
>shanks Lisette
>not a villain
It was for the greater good.
She also trapped her mother in a crystal.
I can't waifu Popo because her name means butt in my language
I'm pretty sure she's got a cute one.
Well in mine it means shit, so just know it could be worse
Why does Ganker have such a boner for this game?
It's genuinely good and filtered most people so stayed relatively niche.
CUTE GIRLS

DECENT STORY TWIST
GOOD SONGS
SOME FUN AND UNEXPECTED CHARACTER MOMENTS
They come for villainess impreg and stay for whatever flavor of broken girl appeals to a given anon's heart bones.
/v/irgins are suckers for broken girls.
Hilda's not broken, just stuck.
Yeah and there's a word for a stuck clock.
Broken.
>appeals to a given anon's heart bones.
There's an entire genre of visual novels just dedicated to giving severe doses of idyllic romance. It's like a drug.
Which one? I want to heal broken girls.
There's a reason I didn't include the broken girls part and just focused on anon's heartboners.
Katawa Shoujo
There's a yandere girl in Stella Glow? I might pick it up.
Yes
I will now play your game.
I need the translated lyrics of the songs.
https://tdnshumi.blogspot.com/2015/11/stella-glow-translated-song-lyrics-stats.html
Are any of the heroines of luminous arc as good as Hilda?
She's definitely cute but her Elcrest-to-Alto connection is a bit weaker. Definitely nowhere as fulfilling a relationship as Hilda's is.
I played LA2 some time after Stella Glow and found the game just average. Pretty much Stella Glow but worse in every aspect. I think the most interesting moment was Althea going absolutely nuclear when MC chose Fatima over her. Luna and Sadie were pretty cute.
>final boss is god
>god is the moon
>actually a wish-granting supercomputer made by ancient humans
>turned on the world after absorbing too much negative feelings
>decided the best way to grant peoples wishes was genocide
>will wake up to cull the population if there are too many people
>also its interface is a scary e-girl
It's very Gurren Lagann. Hilda is literally female Lordgenome, a former warrior who fought to save humanity but lost, and who now keeps the population in check as a villain to protect them because they know the true genocidal force is right around the corner if they don't.
Mr. Xeno
Moon pussy, not even once
I personally think that Stella Glow has one of the best "shit has hit the fan" moments in video games. It just feels like absolute chaos when the Eclipse happens, and the game showing you NPCs you knew being involved in it just made it hit even more.
Everything falling apart and not even the cast can maintain composure was part of why the twist hit so well for me.
Not that it lasted all that long but just because of the fact it happened.
>mommy issues

>posted a moronic stella glow thread yesterday
>archived in 3-4 posts
well at least yours is alive.
Also frick. I guess i really have to ng+ just to obtain the hilda ending.
Stella Glow threads are always a gamble. Plenty of regulars like the game enough to discuss it but they don't regularly scan the archive for it.
not pictured: the old witches, but the wind and earth witch would both go in cute and the other two would go in eh

AaaaaaAAAAAAaaaAaAAAAA
I really don't get why people like sakuya so much, she's just a petty b***h
yeah shes great
thats my only chart
>why are good tsunderes popular
Gee
Why do men want b***hes that step on their balls?
In the past you had only Tsunderes, Yanderes and Wallflowers. No surprise Tsunderes won.
I'm a sucker for taming b***hes. Her ending is basically her telling all her idolgay otaku fans she's retiring from the biz to be with her hot boyfriend, it's great.
Tsunderes with big breasts are usually pretty good.
Usually, not always. Sakuya at least has an excuse for being fricking tired of that idol life.
>thinking of dropping the game early
>suddenly rusty key
This game really hits like a truck sometimes
>"Alto...you're real."
>when Eclipse combat music kicks in
Leviiiiiaaaaaaaa
To the sea > levia
What's wrong with her face?
Too much dandelion coffee
>mfw every shitty game gets an anime
>tfw no SG anime
Game adaptation feel far rarer lately
Conception got an anime, which is beyond me.
I'm not going to pretend like I know how that game plays out as far as its plot goes but SG might just have a little too much plot for its own good to be a 12 episode anime.
I can't beat Chapter 8. What do?
You don't want to.
Which of the 3 fights exactly?
It's honestly only tricky if you try to do the requirements
The last one was hard
Yeah, that's hard cause the NPCs can cause the bosses to move towards youy (and extra condition has you battle a boss). If you go to the left and kill groups o f angels and let the npcs handle south and east, it is pretty easy

We couldn't save them bros...
Nothing was going to salvage Time and Eternity.
Now there's a name I haven't heard in a long, long time...
>Luminous Arc, Stella Glow and Arc Rise Fantasia will forever be stuck on their original consoles
It hurts.
And PC
at least the 3/ds is easy to emulate.
or hack, if you got one
I did it because they caused me to lose a mission of LA1 due to a mistranslation that a healing move also cured status.
Why did she do it bros?
What, you wouldn't use your own body to shield your helpless little sister from a fire, even if it cost you your life? Coward.
I meant her wanting to 1v1 Hrodulf without any help
What, you wouldn't 1v1 your mother's killer to trick him into thinking you're the real Earth Witch instead of your sister, even if it cost you your life? Coward.
She wasn't real
Her localization voice bothers me most of all
Now we need a lord of magna thread.
It's not as good.
But I want to talk about it too.
The gameplay was really weird.
Honestly the gameplay is the main thing that keeps me from trying it out. I like the designs since it's made by the rune factory artist but the gameplay filters me.
The game is probably one of the easiest srpgs I've ever played, but it's still very fun
It's amazing how good all the girls are
W-We'll get another Stella Glow thread right?
When anon finishes his run I imagine.
It was a good SG thread.
Yeah it's rare that we actually talk about the gameplay I wish it happened more often.
>canonically wears strawberry print panties
cute
Source?
?t=1102
Damn, it's been a fricking bit for me to forget such crucial details.
There's Stella Glow threads every once in a while, so just keep an eye out.
lot of flatties posted ITT
hell yeah
look at this shard

Good thread
There's been a fair amount of fan art posted in this thread. Do the japs love this game as well?
Japs celebrate the game's anniversary with art each year.
Some years are more fruitful than others.
Good to know if they love it then there's chance of a remaster or sequel
Probably
On a closing note, I find it weird that the game calls Giselle an "artificial angel." The angels you fight in game sure as hell don't look or act organic being constructs of Mother Qualia.
I hope we get a spiritual sequel to Stella Glow someday
Maybe if Sega gets its head out of its ass. Or goes bankrupt.
Flat is justice
need more
That flat is a villain
Flat is evil
Rusty key is the best song btw.
>500+ replies all these years later
/v/-core confirmed
Maybe more on-topic threads work if the OP isn't Hilda.
A real shame that you can't post a Stella Glow thread with a Hilda image without attracting all the "YOOOO YOU CAN FRICK THE VILLAIN" gays
To be fair I'm sure most people got into the game because of that.
true
Did Luminous Arc 2 age Well and do I need to play the first one first? I've beat Stella Glow.
LA games are pretty standalone.
No matter how much I like Fatima's outfit, Stella Glow is just better at using its characters, especially the heroines. It has way stronger story beats too. LA2 is just Stella Glow but worse.
